Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds are small, fit easily in my ear, come with a very small charging case, and includes a wireless charging pad for the case. I work from home full time. The majority of my day is either on MS Teams or my cell phone. I normally use a 5yr old Plantronics headset for all of my MS Teams meetings and then switch over to another headset for my phone calls. Since the Jabra Connect 5t can connect to both I decided to see if they would be a worthy replacement for a full blown headset. Connecting the Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds to my computer and phone was easy. Press and hold each earbud’s button for three seconds and then select Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds from the Bluetooth connect menu from the windows 10 wireless device management screen or the iPhone Bluetooth screen. The earbuds do have a nag function that will inform you every three seconds or so that they are ready to be paired with something. When I connected my iPhone the headset informed me that the second device was paired. This multipoint pairing is an either/or function. Meaning, I cannot listen to both devices at once. The earbuds do play nice with both devices. If I hit play on a video on my laptop then the Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds will play the audio from the Windows 10 PC. If I take call on my iPhone then the audio automagically switches to my iPhone. And then back again. The Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds ships with three silicon tips: small, medium, large. The default installed tips are medium. I found that the earbuds held well in my ear with both the small and medium tips. The ear buds are shaped in such a way that the tip goes deeper into the ear canal than other brand earbuds. The body of the earbud is design to fit snuggly in ear cavity just above the ear lobe. The first day I was able to wear these for six hours out of my eight hour workday. Ironically, I also got the low battery nag from the earbuds around the six hour mark. The next day, I tried to use the earbuds and found that the cartilage just above my ear canal was tender enough that the earbuds proved uncomfortable to wear for longer then 30 minutes. I did wear them sporadically throughout the day. But my ears were so sensitive that I was not able to repeat the marathon session from the day before. These are still fairly comfortable compared with other earbuds I have owned. However, they still cause discomfort after pronged use. Sound quality for phone calls is excellent. MS Teams was loud and clear. My voice was also reported to be very clear and immediate. I turned on the HearThrough feature and listened to the news on the radio. I wanted to see how well the HearThrough feature worked. Duh! It worked very well. You could tell the sound was a little muffled. But only just. I could easily carry on a conversation. And, in some instances, like music, I think the HearThrough worked better at sound reproduction than it did when processing a signal from iTunes. The one downside to the HearThrough is the Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds did not pick up my own voice while in this mode exclusively, without music or phone call. Unfortunately, this gave my own voice an underwater like quality. This did cause me to speak a little louder than I normally would when I can easily hear the volume of my own voice. I still find it odd that this not an issue when speaking on the phone or on an MS Teams call. Music is ok. My primary use of the Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds is for office and business. Not music. So, I did not spend a lot of time on critical music listening. I did listen to some classical, heavy metal, electro swing, dance, and classic rock. It sounds like a lot but in reality I was just throwing stuff at them to get a sense of musical performance. Overall, I though the highs were clear, the mids seemed a bit flat in some instances, and bass response was heavily dependent on volume level. The Sound+ app allows for EQ presets and custom EQ presets. For example, I was able to turn up the bass response with classic rock while listening at low to moderately volume levels. Relatively solid bass only comes when riding the volume button to higher levels. Sound+ is a solid experience. Hunting for what you want is kept to a minimum. What I like about Sound+ is that the first time I connect a new device the app presents the key features for setup of that device. For example, instead of hunting for ANC setup I was present with an option to calibrate ANC for my environment up front. Since I was in a quiet room that did not require ANC I passed on the configuration step. But, later in the day, I was at a sporting event and decided the event, with the crowed around me, would be a good place to try out ANC. I loaded up the app, turned on the calibration, and within seconds I had ANC calibrated to tune out most of the white noise from the crowd. Overall, ANC is really good. Much better than other earbuds I have owned in the same class as the Connect 5ts. From the app, I can further adjust ANC, HearThrough levels, and turn off both. I do have control over on off of each of these features from the earbuds themselves. The app simply gives me more flexibility. The Sound+ app provides a lot of flexibility with the earbuds. The buttons on each side of the earbud can support up to three contextual actions each. If you are playing music then you can configure the button to handle things like volume, pause, track skipping, etc. When using for phone or conference calls then those same buttons can be used for three additional functions. The system is quite flexible. The Connect 5ts also support voice assistants, personalization, Find my Device, Spotify Tap, and more. Final thoughts. Overall, I do like the Connect 5t even after some of the criticism I provided here. Most earbuds I can only wear for 45 minutes before they become uncomfortable enough to remove. The Connect 5ts unique shape extends that period by hours. They will not, however, be replacing a my dedicated headset simply because I cannot wear the Connect 5ts for extended periods of time. Phone calls and MS Team’s calls are crystal clear for both me and my team. The ANC is powerful enough to block out background noises in my home and at a high school sporting event. Music is good enough as an ultraportable solution. And the battery life is solid for an earbud this size. I also like the multi-point connect. I find multi-point to be an important feature because most professionals similar to myself rely on both our laptops and cell phones for voice communications. My only real gripe is that I wish Jabra had designed the earbuds with capacitive touch surfaces instead of push buttons. The cartilage in my ears does become sensitive after a few hours of use. The last thing I want to do is press a button the also presses the Connect 5ts into a spot that is already sensitive. Finally, HearThrough is excellent less the issues with my voice sounding muted. If you are a professional who is looking for a mobile communications solution then I encourage you to give the Jabra 5t a try.

Nice in theory. Love the charging set up. However, they hurt my ears. The right side doesn't work some times. The left side sometimes sounds like the ocean. With my work laptop and MS Teams meetings, there is a distracting crackling that I don't hear when using other devices with the laptop. Really disappointed that I can't use these for work. Can't tell the difference between ANC and hearthrough. Won't connect to my tablet half the time and when it does, it connects for calls (which is useless as it's not a phone) but not for audio (which is needed for the tablet).

As a person who has been going to the gym 4-5 days a week, I'm always looking for earbuds that would be perfect. At least for me. I've pretty much ran the gamut on earbuds, from $300 sony's to $20 amazon ones. And I always revert back to my Jabra's headphones and earbuds. So I've a little bit of knowledge about them. I've owned 65t, 65e, 75t, 85t and a few others from Jabra. And with each new product, I've loved them all. They all have sounded awesome out of the box and with every new model, things got better. My current gym earbuds are the 85t so I have posted pictures of the 2 side by side. The Jabra 5t is quite good. The thing I absolutely love about these earbuds is the size. I know this can be subjective, but to give you an idea, most earbuds I've owned I usually use the medium size tip and most of them have fit well. The 5t went in my ears perfectly snug without an discomfort and I didn't even have to do the old twist and push to get that great seal. And once in, it felt very secure and light. Oh, my goodness, these were like a perfect fit. I could barely feel them. Unlike the 85t which has an oval type tip, these are round like most other earbuds. This has always been one of the biggest complaints I've had with the 85t. Because of this, there are certain exercise that I do at the gym that would always get the 85t to move and eventually pop out of my ears. Can be extremely annoying when you hanging on something or just plain having to stop to pick up the earbuds. I never had this problem with the 5t. Another thing that impressed me was the buttons. My personal preference is an actual button as opposed to touch earbuds. The 5t's button had a satisfying click without much pressure needed. It was precise and just enough pressure as to not have accidental activations. The buttons themselves control your answer/end calls, track forward/backwards, Google/Alexa/phone default. And this is where the 5t loses points, no volume control. What? Why? This makes no sense. Battery life is pretty much as stated, the case is smaller than my 85t as well which makes pocket carry better. It's surprising how a small difference in size makes such a huge difference in the pocket. It also has wireless charging and a quick 10 minute charge will give you 1 hour of listening. Audio and call quality is excellent. ANC and hearthrough is good but not on par with the sony's. I was able to exceed the 30 feet range with bluetooth, I don't know how far, but literally was on the other side of the gym and music was still playing. All in all, these buds are a winner and I really like them.... But, I'm gonna stick with my 85t. Short of the fitting issues in my ears and the size of the case, the 85t does everything a little better than the 5t plus it has volume control. If I didn't currently own the 85t, I would be in love with the 5t. Also the 85t cost more so you have to take that into consideration.

Another pair of “talk buds” masquerading as headphones…that is a good thing. The audio is great and the mics work really well. The Jabra Sound+ App is nice and helpful with the backend features. Had to manually turn on the buds to get them to pair, which is not what the graphic printed in the package showed. The buds come with a protector over the charging leads so they do not turn when you open the case or remove the protection over the leads. I dropped the buds back in the case, closed the case, and then started to try and get them to turn on and pair per the printed graphic, but it didn’t work. This was like a whole 2 minutes of my life, so once paired by manually turning them on, there have been no issues. Fitment is nice, I am using the stock size silicone tips, which looks like a medium compared to the other two options included. Since these are not designed for a sport use, there isn’t any sort of “wing” to lock on to upper interior of the ear, however, I wiped down my car after going through the car wash and I never felt like they were going to fall out. They go pretty deep into the canal and retain a good fit. For intended use, I will say they should be just fine for longer sessions of conference calls and the like. There is no included charger brick (like most things these days), but there is the wireless charger pad (Qi). It takes an input of 5V @2Amp (10w) and Outputs 5V @1Amp (5w). The earbud case also has a USB-C charge option and a cable is included. The specs state that it takes 180 minutes to charge, but does not specify if that is via wireless or USB-C. There are not power ratings on the case, in the box, on the box, or on the manufacturer website. So I cannot quantify what the power input via USB-C should be. My guess is that it will be the same as the wireless pad since the included USB-C cable is short and to be used to charge from a laptop/dock. I tend to use headphones (wireless earbuds) a lot when on the phone, but only use one bud. With these the benefit is in using both buds simultaneously. They do work independently, but the controls are spread between the two so you will only get half functionality.

This is the first time I’ve ever used earbuds for my conferences instead of over the head headphones with microphone extension. I definitely prefer the earbuds. They give me a lot more freedom for writing, typing, and cancelling out any surrounding noise. Included with the Jabra Connect 5t are: 2 earbuds, charging case, wireless charging pad, USB-C cable, 3 sets of silicone ear gels (small, medium, large), and a quick start guide. Being new to the Connect 5t earbuds, it took me a while to figure out the functions of the buttons on the earbuds themselves. I did contact Jabra customer service to help me get the Connect 5t earbuds to stay connected to my laptop. It turns out it was actually me pushing the wrong buttons on the buds themselves that caused them to keep disconnecting. Jabra customer service was excellent in assisting me and were very patient and explained how each of the buttons worked on the earbuds. I have not used them for several phone conferences and video conferences and they work so much better than the over the headphones that I’ve been using. The ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) feature on the Connect 5t does cancel a lot of background noise allowing me to hear conversations and/or videos more clearly. So far, I haven’t gotten any dropped calls whether I’m sitting at my laptop or walking around the apartment. The Jabra Sound+ app for iPhone or Android is a comprehensive application for the Connect 5t. I have an Android so after a quick and easy pairing, the main screen automatically detect the earbuds. From the main screen you can adjust the sound mode, access the music equalizer, music presets and create a soundscape for just relaxing. The main screen, or dashboard, also lets you know the which earbud is being used and the battery status for earbuds and the charging case. The Discover tab on the Sound+ app shows tips, hints, user manual, and Quick start guide. The About tab on the Sound+ app gives you information on the sound+ app itself, i.e.: Support, software updates, online shopping for other Jabra products and more. You can charge the charging case either using the USP-C connected directly to the case or the wireless charging pad (which I use). For the Connect 5t charging pad, you just connect the USB-C cable to the back of the pad and place the charging case with the earbuds in, on top. The Jabra Connect 5t earbuds automatically turn on when removed from the charging case. When you place the back in the charging case, they automatically turn off, but don’t disconnect. The charging case is very small and fits in the palm of your hand easily. This is makes the Jabra Connect 5t earbuds very portable. Rechargeable battery – so far, the battery has lasted an entire day without recharging and after several audio conference calls. I keep the case on the charging pad with the earbuds inside and I’ve had no issues with the battery running low. Even so, and automated voice tells you the status of the battery as does the Sound+ app. The Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds are also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google (“Hey Google”). They are very light and comfortable. I can wear them for several hours without my ears getting sore. They even work extremely well with just listening to music or relaxing sounds. The Jabra Connect 5t earbuds are compatible with any other Bluetooth Pairable Device. I recommend the Jabra Connect 5t Earbuds for their convenience, light weight and comfort.

These Jabra Connect 5t earbuds have been a joy to use over the last week. They have very good battery life. I charged the case fully when I first took it out of the box and almost a week later, I still have yet to need to charge it. Given.. I’m a light user. I use them for about an hour or two max per day. If you use them heavier, I imagine you’ll have to charge the case more often. Jabra says you’ll get 28 hours of use before needing to charge the case. Seems true, since the case is still at 70% for me after a week of light/moderate use. Sound quality in my opinion is very good. Not mind blowing, but I would say good enough to satisfy most. If you download the Jabra app, you’ll find a bunch of different presets to tweak the sound quality, and if they aren’t good enough for you. You can also create a custom EQ by being able to tweak the EQ bar yourself. I choose the bass boost preset, since I like to feel the bass in music. These buds aren’t bass heavy, but with the preset I chose, the bass is good enough to let me feel the music. I love that you can change and adjust the active noise cancellation on these. You can choose to have it off or “hear through” it and you can adjust how much ambient noise you want to come through. It’s a great feature for those of you who have an active outdoor lifestyle and need to be able to hear and stay aware of your surroundings. You can also use that function for phone calls, you’ll be able to hear your voice when talking on the phone. No echo, just like an active monitor if that makes sense. I like that also, I never did like using earbuds to talk on the phone because I always end up feeling like I’m shouting while talking because I can’t hear myself. If I had to complain about these, I would mention that my girlfriend said I sound muffled when talking on the phone with these. She said she could hear my clearly but that they made my voice sound different. Over all, I would say that these earbuds are a great option in a market flooded with earbuds. Make sure you download the Jabra app to take full advantage of all the features they have. The app is needed to make these earbuds shine. Would I recommend? For sure. They’ve kept a stable connection to my phone, and all the features are pretty cool. I just found a feature in the app called “soundscapes”. It lets you play ambient noise to help you relax. I love it. I plan on using it for nights I am having trouble falling asleep.

Weird Shape/Fit But Great Work&Play Earbuds

High quality earbuds are a vital part of my life but somehow I’ve never before owned a pair which tied in with all the bells and whistles my phone has been doing for years now. Jabra always had really nice corded earbuds, which I would buy more than other brands, so I had expectations for the quality I would be receiving with the Connect 5T earbuds. In the box you get the two earbuds in a charging case, a tiny USB-C charging cord, different sizes of rubber ear pieces for size preference, the usual quickstart page and a booklet of safety/legal info, and a new feature in bluetooth earbuds (for me at least): a wireless charging pad. Physically the charging case is the industry standard oval box shape but it's about a quarter to almost half inch taller than others I’ve seen. Its not enough to be inconvenient but it took some getting used to. As for the buds I’m still not quite used to them, they seem almost bulk in my ear and the angle at which the bud stem goes in makes the button on each point backward. It could be that I wear the bud “wrong” but it was the only way I could get it to go in and stay in while I walked or worked around the house and while the buttons are fairly large the backward direction made it less than instinctive to press given how they were sitting. Per the Quick Start page I downloaded the app, Jabra Sound+, to my Pixel 6 Pro to “guide me through setup and features”. The app opened, told me to approve it to manage my bluetooth and select the earbuds from a list, easy and simple to do. I switched screens, picked the buds, they confirmed they were connected, and I switched back to the app to continue setup and features…and the app crashed. I tried updating the app and it still crashed, I uninstalled and reinstalled and it continued to still crash. I took the long way around and downloaded a manual from Jabra’s website and deleted the app so don’t waste your time if you end up buying these. Functionally speaking the battery is long lasting. I charged the case overnight and then wore the buds at work for about three hours solid and then again after work for another hour or two with the buds stored in their case in my pocket. Since I never seemed to drop low enough to get a warning I imagine you could use these for a day without issue. Charging seems super fast, I powered them off at 50% (according to my laptop) and plugged the case in for maybe 15 minutes and remembered something I forgot, when I powered them on the laptop said they were at 80%! While that speed will degrade over time, that’s an excellent place to start and a high mark for these earbuds. The other cool thing I like is when paired with my Android phone they work with the Google Assistant features, a feature I’ve known about but never really used before since I tend to keep my phone in my pocket 99% of the time. Since the earbuds seem geared toward working professionals working from home or away from the office they feature really clear and sensitive microphones that you wouldn’t see without looking for them. The microphones on my buds allowed me to try out random “thread of consciousness” Google searches, ask for really bad jokes, and to dial family while carrying in groceries. Volume range seems good and the clarity of my voice was clear for the people I called (I asked specifically). So overall these are really nice earbuds with lots of features, good sound quality, and excellent battery length. The Jabra app to setup is garbage and not worth even trying to download but you can learn about how to use your earbuds from their website and avoid all the time of downloading, installing, and crashing their app. I don’t like the way the Connect 5T buds are shaped for how I felt comfortable wearing them but maybe that’s a personal thing? Everything else was either excellent or easily worked around (i.e. the app) but you can’t really control how the shape and size of the earbuds will fit with how you need them to stay stuck in your ear (yes, I changed the rubber end bit without much help to this problem). I think if these are in your budget you would be remiss to not give them a look, highly recommended!

These are good set of all around earbuds. I mainly use them for work and I have been pleased by them. The call quality is really good on both ends and they have a nice clean sound. One thing that is important with any earbuds is using the right tips. I have over 30 pairs of earbuds and can tell you it is really important to have the right tips for noise isolation, anc and sound. I read reviews on these and people were saying they had no bass. They do have a good amount of bass, but I will say that the low end is more of a clean bass than a rumbling subwoofer bass. I am one to use the equalizer if apps has one which this one does and after tweaking to my liking the sound is really nice which I do believe people only leave these on the default and the sound may not be as pleasing. Touching on the app, you do get a lot of customization with the app it is really nice. One of the cons for me is that the controls on the earbuds are push button. That not really hard to push, but they are not always the most responsive. This set has decent anc and nice hearthrough which is basically there transparency mode.

These earbuds are very good, and were super for their medium-high quality range at the time of release. I'm used to Pixel Buds Pro for Android devices now, and I'm also aware of Sony, JBL, Bose, etc. as having some better music sound quality and mic clarity on the caller's end. But for budget, these are still very good. And if the ear tips aren't as comfortable, they are very replaceable by other aftermarket ones as the connecting portion is universal. Just ensure your tips will fit in the charging case though. But I like how these aren't too bulky compared to some of the higher end ones as well, and the case is relatively small and light too. Sometimes the music as well as Hear-Through mode can sound a little tinny. And ANC works very well, but I am now used to how well Pixel Buds Pro (and AirPods Pro) does so well with these. But for the price, if these things aren't as important, I will recommend them. And their battery life is very good as well, which is important to me.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed the device's sleek profile, charging case design, and battery life. However, we are sorry you were not completely satisfied with the audio quality and ANC functionality of the Jabra Connect 5t.

Regarding the audio quality, we want to let you know that we designed the Jabra Connect 5t with 6mm speakers to provide a rich and satisfying sound experience. So many jabras. So little time. Their quality is good. Jabras fit my weird ears. Their light and comfortable. The multipoint is good. I don't understand why it's not more of a discussion amongst Bluetooth headphones. Jabras passthrough sound is often good, these are no exceptions. The sound isn't the best, but for what I want, they're good enough. Sometimes I think electronics don't update all their devices equally so they can charge more for one product over another. Here's my take: Jabra elite 85-the most expensive. Has all the bells and whistles. Oldest, but has great support still. Most people won't need all the bells or the whistles. Jabra elite 3- harder to find, but often clearance marked. Great. Does not support multipoint. Great seal. Water resistant. Jabra elite 4 active- Also great. Does not support multipoint. Slightly louder than the 3s. Lighter. Waterproof. Jabra elite 4 pro- good. Supports multipoint. 98% similar to the actives. Water resistant, but better than the 3s. If you want multipoint, these are the ones to get over the previous. Otherwise you'll get what you need with the aforementioned. These are often more expensive, yet they aren't worth that price difference. 5ts (these). Offers official multipoint. Good. These claim to have better mics for calls, etc. Noticably less bass but better treble, not an issue for some. Case offers qi charging. -better deal over 7s if they are on sale. 7pro- has best sound of the Jabra earbuds. Has multipoint, but will have to download updates 7active- bassier for workouts (?) Good sound. Slightly better waterproofing. 7s better if they're on sale. There's so many Jabra earbuds right now, it gets confusing. There's literally one or two difference between them. The sounds may be slightly differently tuned, but all give access to sound controls, so you can customize it. Get what's on sale. Multipoint and qi wireless are going to be the literal differences between all of these. The cases are small enough to be portable, but not so small that you'll lose them easily. That's all I have to say about that.

I only did 4 stars because the price I paid last month was a a sale price that really should be the regular price (109.00) - So maybe wait a bit to see if they come down again. First of all these are excellent for calls from an office, call center, home office, etc. Calls are clear and sound great. I can have them connected to both my PC and my phone while working. It is pretty seamless. I should also say that the earbud tips are superb. They fit like gloves, and I can even use the smallest size tips with a perfect fit. Normally I use big tips for my ears, and often buy after-market bud tips. Not necessary here at least for me. Batteries go quite long before needing recharge. Nice case, too. ALL that said, just one point needs making. It's not an issue to me, but ANC is so weak they probably shouldn't have bothered with it. It is one notch up from imperceptible. Do not buy these looking for SOTA ANC Noise cancellation. These buds are noise-free and smooth sounding enough without ANC. Great sound on its own merits, no echoes or feedback ... voice come through clear. I really like these a lot. Oh, I should mention that they are easy to use, and music sounds nice on them too.

The absolute best earbuds I have ever used. I've tried expensive ones and cheap ones but these are by far best in quality, sound and have good battery life. They fit comfortably in your ear, I've honestly forgotten I had them in. I definitely recommend 100%

Jabra isn't necessarily one of the top brands that come to mind when talking about headphones. They're mostly known for headsets or business oriented devices like speakerphones or webcams. I had a pair of Elite 65t and was curious how these newer models compared. While still pretty good earbuds, I still prefer my 65t's. The size of the case and earbuds is really small. The case is around the size of a box of tic tacs and the earbuds themselves are, what I think, really tiny. Compared to Beats Fit Pro or some Sony earbuds, I think these are considerably smaller..or at least they feel that way. In terms of small, I thinking like these "really-easy-to-lose" small. Being so tiny and the shape of them, I had a hard time putting them in and getting them to fit right. Even after getting them seated, they still didn't feel quite right. Included with the package are your standards eartips in different sizes, a short charging cable as well as a wireless charging dock which I thought was a neat addition. You don't normally see these included with earbuds so, again, nice touch. In terms of sound quality, I thought they were pretty good in that they sound like a lot of other earbuds out on the market. For all-around use, they're pretty much on par with others I've tested. Highs and mids are pretty solid however very little/no bass. Now, considering these are more, all-around use as opposed to strictly music, I can understand this. You don't necessarily need to here your co-workers voice booming through the earbuds. Personally, for music headphones, I like ones with a little more bass to them. Active noise cancellation (ANC) works well on these. There is also a pass-through mode where you can hear your music as well as surrounding noises. I thought it let a little too much background noise in however this is a personal preference. I may be wrong on this one but I was hoping a little less background noise coming in would've been better. With the case, you should get a little more than a days worth of use out of these which is good. The small size makes it super easy to put in your purse/pack or even your pocket. With these updates I still feel a little more bias to my 65t's despite them being a couple years old. They fit well, sounded good and just felt better IMO. These earbuds though are good in their own right. For the price, these should be well suited for any music/conference call needs you have.

Big Sound in a Small Package

I’ve used different Jabra office solutions over the years and now that my work is home office based, I was really interested to give their Connect 5t earbuds a try. I had always thought of Jabra as making full headset type earphones/mics. The new Connect 5t is a true wireless earbud designed along Jabra’s Elite line of earbuds. These things are small but packed with features for the day-to-day work and play environments. What’s in the box – The earbuds ship with 3 sets of silicon earbuds in small, medium (installed) and large, a charging case and wireless charging pad, a USB-C charging cable and paperwork/manuals. Set Up – The earbuds were partly charged when received so I threw them on the charging pad to complete charging while I looked through the “Get Started” piece in the box. For a low-profile set of earbuds, there are quite a few features and functions to understand. Part of the set up involves downloading the Jabra Sound+ app, although they did easily connect to my iPhone and Dell laptop directly through Bluetooth. I definitely recommend downloading the app as it has a quick start guide that walks through all the features and controls on the earbuds. Once the app is installed it’s time to start customizing the earbuds for personal preference depending on usage. I wanted to use for calls on the iPhone and Zoom conference calls on the Dell laptop. As they support Bluetooth 5.2 and Multipoint, the Connect 5t earbuds can connect to two devices simultaneously. Sound+ App - it's a great tool for taking advantage of the many available settings these earbuds provide like Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, HearThrough, Music Equalizer, Musice Presets, Soundscape, configuration, etc. Sound Modes allows the user to select between ANC, HearThrough or Off. The levels of ANC or HearThrough can be adjusted based on user preference or environment. The Equalizer provides a handful of presets and can also be customized to the user’s preferences in Bass, Midrange and Treble. Soundscape provides different soothing sound effects to relax or go to sleep with. It’s an interesting feature that I’ve actually used a number of times already. There’s also a Discovery tab that allows for “Find My Jabra” set up, In-ear detection, quick start guide, etc. Fit and Function – The Connect 5t earbuds came with the medium earpads installed and seem to fit well. There a “how to” for inserting and operating the earbuds in the app. With a bit of a twist on insertion the buds fit snuggly into the shape of the ear and hold in place firmly. I’ve always been an over-the-ear guy, but must admit these earbuds are comfortable and can be worn for hours on end without any discomfort. There are push buttons on each earbud that support different functions for listening to music or taking a phone call. They are low profile and easy to operate once configured. Controls include volume, power, pause, answer or hang up a call, etc. No need to take your phone out of your pocket if you’re on the move! Sound Quality - The sound quality is top-notch right out of the box, but the Sound+ app gives the user the ability to customize sound settings based on preference. There are multiple presets available, and users can created their own pre-sets as an option. Quality sound as expected from Jabra. I messed around with the ANC setting and other features and found I liked setting the NC level to full ANC to block out everything around me so I can focus on conference calls. Phone Calls – As mentioned earlier, the built-in controls on each earbud allows the user to operate a phone hands-free if desired. Phone call controls are also well displayed in the main area of the Sound+ app when on a call. Sound quality of calls was very good on my end, but a couple people mentioned I sounded a bit tinny on their end. Battery Life – I fully charged the earbuds when they arrived and after multiple days of use, they never dipped below 70% charged. The charge level is easy to see in the Sound+ app and with the indicator light on the carry case. As I use them for conference calls, it’s easy to pop them into the case and set them on the included charging pad, so I have not worried about battery life at all. Jabra claims 7 hours on the earbuds and up to 28 hours total including the charging case. The included Qi-certified charging pad is a great addition as it’s very low profile taking up next to no room on my desk and looks fantastic…and it will charge any Qi compatible device. Pros: - Build and Sound Quality is Top-Notch - Amount of sound customization and functions with the Sound+ app - Earbud touch controls - control your music, meeting or call without ever touching your phone - Bluetooth Multipoint for simultaneous connection to two devices - ANC is customizable and better than expected for earbuds - Battery life and ease of charging is exceptional - Great Carry Case for traveling, storage and charging - Included Qi-certified charging pad Cons: - Had a few callers mention I sounded a bit “tinny” on their end of phone calls The Jabra Connect 5t Wireless Noise Canceling In-Ear Headphones are one of my new favorite devices and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for noise canceling earbuds to use for virtual meetings, conference calls or just rocking out to music while taking a walk. They are small in stature but packed with features and quality sound.

I have been in the market for some reliable earbuds to use for music and voice calls. I decided to try out the Jabra earbuds and was impressed with the quality and distance these earbuds have. The package comes with the earbuds, charging case and a nice wireless charger. It was very easy to setup and the software that comes with it makes it very customizable. The software provide great information of battery life of each earbud along with the charging case. I liked how it had multiple sized ear rubbers to fit those larger ears like mine. The buttons are large enough for big hands like myself to tap to change song tracks or call holds. I was also impressed with how clear my voice came across when speaking especially when there was noise around. The true test was talking on the earbuds with the windows down in the car. It passed very well with the person on the phone being able to hear without issue. At times I find myself walking around with the earbuds on while leaving the phone in my room. With the distance of these I never had an issue going downstairs being connected and heard clearly. One thing I do like to note is how to wear them properly. It may be just me as I have not worn these styles before but you need to "insert and twist upwards" to ensure the sensor properly detects it being in the ear. Otherwise the earbud shuts itself off after 10 seconds. I found this out while trying them and it was very annoying at first. It was not until I inserted them in this way that they work 100% of the time.

These Jabra Connect 5t earbuds are really nice. They're comfortable and have pretty good flat EQ. I haven't had them for a long time, but I think the sound quality is really good. I can't comment yet on the ANC, but the hear-though feature is good unless someone is whispering. I'll try to give an update with MS Teams usage later and other things once I get a chance.

The set works fantastic with teams. Clear voice on both ends. Would be great if the head set had the ability to pass through sound like some of the othe Jabra products do. Also the wireless charging works great and insures I have a full charge especially on those busy meeting days.
