Out of the box these earbuds are very stylish looking, they come with 3 different sized ear plugs (gels) (Large, Medium, Small), as well as a charging case and usb cable. In the manual it says you can also buy a wireless charging pad for them as well, which i will most likely be picking up at some point in the future. Pros The phone app to setup everything is pretty nice, and offers quite a bit of features. The Hybrid ANC (active Noise Cancellation) technology is actually pretty good, while activated i could barely hear anything outside of what i was listening to (its not 100% silent, but during somethings I would listen to, it was a close 98% noise cancellation). The buds have the ability to connect/sync with Google Asistant or Amazons' Alexa which is pretty convenient, especially with my ecosystem currently in the home. Spotify tap is a nice feature as well (allowing for a custom EQ, and song control [resume, play recommended song]) The unit boasts; up to 7 hours of battery life + 28 hours with the case, as well as 1 hour of playback per 10 minutes of charge, which is nice if i just want to grab and go. Includes a 2 year warranty The Audio quality is also very good, the bass in some songs was hitting like it should and everything sounded very nice. Cons The only thing i disliked about these earbuds, When you pull out the right earbud while listening to music, it causes the music to stop/pause. (i believe there is a metal sensor in the earbuds that can detect if they are in or not) when the music stopped I thought i could just tap the left ear bud to get the music going again as i would with the right earbud, but thats not how the buttons are setup (instead i had to press play again on my phone), The right earbud is the "only" controller for music, So keep that in mind if you remove one of the earbuds while listening to music take out the left one... Overall these earbuds are very nice, the sound is good, and feels immersive... I also really like the ANC features with the ability to turn it on and off at the press of a button. The fit and overall comfort of these buds feel pretty good as well. I would definitely recommend these buds to anyone looking to try something different.

This is a pretty good pair of multipoint earbuds. I've been keeping them paired to both my phone and my laptop, and I've overall had a good experience. Regarding the problems I've had with this headset, I've found that sometimes the left and right earbuds won't sync up properly. They can be off, by just a fraction of a second. I know that one of the computers I used them on had an improperly-installed wireless antenna, so that could be relevant, but I did want to mention it. I also think it worth noting that since the software to control the earbuds is only on Android and iOS, you can't really do things like adjusting the equalizer or ANC from your computer, which is *slightly* annoying. Those two issues aside, I've had a pretty great experience with these. The battery life is pretty decent, and will get me through at least four hours. The microphone array appears to be pretty great - I've been on quite a few calls on both Facebook Messenger and Discord, on both phone and computer, and the people I've been calling have reported that the sound quality from my end is good. Nobody's complained about that. The earbuds fit comfortably, and I was able to find a good set of tips in the package to fit my ears. They also don't make my ears itch, which is great. The sound quality is also pretty nice. On calls, I can hear everyone's voices okay (or at least, no worse than ever, depending on whether I'm calling that one friend who really needs a new mic), and when I'm listening to music the quality is pretty decent. They do not suffer from the "Oops, All Mids!" problem, and have pretty okay top end and bass considering that they're earbuds. The case is nice - I like that it works with wireless charging and USB-C, no micro USB connectors here. It's also easy to clean. Overall, I have to say I rather like them. They could probably use a firmware update or something to patch that issue with the desynced audio, but considering that I was using weird hardware and the desync is by less than a quarter of a second I'm willing to overlook that, particularly since everything else seems to be good. I would definitely recommend these.

These are nice earbuds that are comfortable. If you wear them for over 4 hours they do start to ache a little, but I did not notice that it ached until I took them out. They are noise cancelling which is always a nice bonus. They took about an hour to fully charge and lasted me over 8 hours. I did not keep track of the exact amount of time they lasted, but they were still going when I took them out after I was done with my 8 hour ACLS class online. If you are looking for sound with a lot of bass, this may not be the earbuds for you. It does not have a lot of bass when I was playing music, but the sound quality is still great. I did have some difficulty connecting them to my iPhone because the instructions were not very clear. You pretty much have to download the app to get more information on how to connect. If you don't want another app installed on your phone, well I'll tell you, you do have to hold down both earbuds until the light blinks blue so you can connect. I tried doing that before I downloaded the app, but it didn't seem to work for me until after I downloaded the app. I may have not held it for 5 seconds, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can try it and see if it works. The earbud case is nice and feels like decent quality. I like the earbuds overall and I would recommend them to others.

I received the Jabra Elite 5 ear buds from Best Buy for free in exchange for my honest opinion about the product. The sound is crisp and clear, with beautiful highs and good, solid bass. The 6mm speakers do very well to capture the immersion I expect from any headgear, whether that be headphones or earbuds. New to the Elite 5 is the 6-microphone call technology coupled with the Hybrid Active Noise Canceling (ANC). Together, most any sound can be completely blocked out with the push of a button. It works fantastically, easily filtering out the vacuum and other consistent sounds. Voices still come through faintly with soft music playing. Music with heavy instrumentation drowns out voices completely. A great, new functionality is the ability to use a single ear bud, either one, without needing the other. This allows the charging of one while continuing to use the other. Of course, that would limit the ease of using the buttons on whichever one is not being used. The buds themselves fit snugly into my outer ear and don't feel like they'll fall out. Three ear gel sizes come with product, allowing a snug fit to help with the ANC. The charging case comes with a USB-C connector for wired charging and is Qi-compatible for wireless charging. These will be used for many years to come.

The Jabra Elite 5 True Wireless Hybrid Active Noise Canceling in ear headphones are amazing. The sound quality and noise canceling they offer is incomparable. They fit nice and snug and feel very comfortable. I use them for everyday office work and even when mowing my property. The noise from the mower and trimmer is cut way down and I am able to hear my music as it was meant to be. Nothing bad from the Jabra Elite 5, they were very simple to connect to my cellphone and i was ready to hear my favorite music in minutes. The Sound+ app makes everything simple and easy to control. For the most part it becomes as a simple plug and play but wirelessly. The bass and voice quality if great nothing negative. When taking phone calls, it is very simple, and I have not had any complaint about people having trouble hearing me. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a new set, as I personally use them on a day-to-day basis from a simple office job to working outdoors with no issue or interference of any kind. Jabra has done it once again and built a quality product.

Multipoint & Hear-Through are solid improvements

Jabra - Elite 5 Coming from an earlier model of Jabre Elite, this v5 model solves some of the little issues that pop up from time to time on the earlier models. Connectivity: these Elite5 buds have the Bluetooth Multipoint, which lets me connect to laptop for multimedia (video, music, Vmeetings) and also stay connected to android phone at the same time. Switching back and forth is fast and simple to switch from laptop to phone when needed, and then back after completing a call. Battery and Charging: battery life continues to be several hours of solid use (full morning, full afternoon, full evening) and the buds are much improved about going from active Bluetooth to charging mode when putting the bud(s) in the case. Earlier models tended to “hang on” to the Bluetooth connection and sometimes would not reliably charge both buds. Sound Quality: I am not an audiophile so most mid-range and higher buds sound pretty good to me. My main uses are for movies and tv on laptop, and podcasts, audiobooks, and relaxation music on phone. May I suggest you check other reviews for the finer details and experiences with audio quality. ANC and Pass-Through: The noise cancelling is about “medium” on these buds – not as good as earphones (not surprising) and just as good as any other earbuds I have tried. Better than that on these buds is the “Hear-Through” where a click on the left bud will use the microphones to give a little boost to outside noise, and cut the audio feed at the same time. In other words you get an instant cut to the audio and a simultaneous ‘boost’ to outside noise. I actually prefer to use this setting instead of just turning the ANC off, which leaves the audio feed going – not as good to switch quickly from listening to laptop and talking to someone. Jabra App: The usefulness of the app has improved from earlier models, as should be expected. There are lots of pre-sets and customization options for the sound, click-push, and other defaults. The ANC and Hear-Through also have settings that can be personalized. Overall these are a good set of wireless buds with adequate ANC and the Multipoint makes these excellent for use when you have two devices going at the same time – such as working on laptop and cell.phone.

These buds seem like a step back from some of the better performing models. While they are still very good ear buds, they don't match the performance in sound quality or noise cancelling of other Jabra models. The one area where they seem to have improved is in fit and comfort. While the overall profile of the buds doesn't seem to have changed much, they do fit more securely in my ears and are less likely to be knocked loose with an accidental brush. They do work well at connecting to multiple devices at once. I tested these with connections to my phone and the streaming device for my tv. I could even leave my phone in another room and remain connected to it while I listened to content on the tv in my home gym. It was a bit ambiguous which device was being controlled by the ear bud buttons until I established which one I wanted to listen to. With both devices paused, pressing the play button on the buds started the music on my phone when I wanted to listen to the tv. But if the tv was already playing, then the buds would default to controlling the active device. The buds will automatically pause playback when one is removed from your ear, but unlike other models, playback does not automatically resume when you put the bud back in. You have to actively restart playback. So overall, really good design, but there are models with better sound quality and noise cancelling if that's primarily what you're after.

The Jabra Elite 5 are but one of a series of “Elite” branded wireless earbuds from Jabra. Sitting pretty much in the middle of the pack, the Elite 5 seems to be the perfect mix of features, sound and price. In the box, the earbuds come with three sets of eargels - the pre-installed mediums fit my ears well, holding the buds in comfortably and sealing out outside sounds, along with a small USB C charging cord. Charging the buds can be done with either USB C as well as Qi wireless charging and they did need to be charged upon opening them. The case and buds each have LED’s which show the charge status by solid and flashing red, yellow and green color. Another nice feature is the fast charge that will give you an hour of use with only 10 minutes of charge when the battery is low. I really like that they have Qi charging however, I did notice it takes a bit longer than USB C. A full charge is supposed to get seven hours run time with an additional 21 hours in the case. Pairing to multiple Apple devices was easy and as expected. They also offer quick pairing for Android devices as well as Windows PC’s. I don't have an Android device but when in pairing mode, my PC popped up the connect dialog for a one press connection. I was pleased with the sound from the Elite 5’s. Out of the box with no equalization, they have a nice warm rich tone which made me immediately think Bose. The app has a five-band equalizer which has several presets as well as the ability to create and save your own presets. For my liking, both treble and bass needed a bit of a boost. I found both acceptable if a bit muddy at times. ANC on the other hand was a game changer for both noise canceling as well as the Hear - Through. Both have a slider for strength and on my subway commute I could feel the train but couldn’t hear anything outside the music. Switching to Hear-Through, I could hear the train announcements and conversations of riders around me. I like that the left push button (yes, they are physical buttons, not touch sensitive) standard configuration switches between ANC, Hear Through and off. Phone calls through the buds were outstanding. I had no trouble being heard and the called party was crisp and clear. I also like that you can control the side-tone, just like the Jabra headsets in my office. You can also just use one bud at a time like bluetooth headsets of yesteryear. The Elite 5’s allow you to pair to two devices at the same time which I do with my iPad and office laptop. This works well, pausing my iPad for MS Teams calls. Overall, I really like the Jabra Elite 5 earbuds and the price point works for the features and sound. I recommend them.

I'm not a fan of in the ear headphones but needed to try them out to see if my opinion changed. Sadly it hasn't, but I wont let my bias affect the genuine impression of the review or the value of the product. The Jabra headphones have supreme sound quality and with the help of the companion app can be customized to your level of comfort. Phone calls are a bit spotty, even though my voice travels quite clear through the headphones, so does the wind. In extreme cases, the background noise would peak out my voice and no sound would come through according to the caller. I on the other hand can hear the caller clearly. Speaking of Hear-Through, the buttons on the headphones are customizable to complete functions like Noise Cancelling, Hear-Through and the media functions when listening to music. The Hear-Through feature is awesome, I can hear my surroundings in any mode. However if whatever I'm listening to is too loud, it drowns out the noise anyway. I haven't found the right ear size for me yet, they keep popping out of my ear. Maybe I'm not inserting them the right way, but whatever the reason, I'm scared to use these outside the house with risk of loss or damage. These are sturdy headphones.
