The Jabra Elite 65e headphones are a solid overall choice, but those who are serious about their music will find the sound quality lacking. The 65e is very comfortable to wear and easy to use. With built in controls for Siri and Google, it makes an excellent headset for calls. The comfortable neckband stays in place while you move around, with no rubbing sounds from contact with clothes. Outstanding battery life means you can use them all day, and the active noise cancellation works quite well. Sound quality on calls is extremely clear on both ends. The only weakness is in the audio playback. The dynamic range of music is stilted, giving it a bit of a hollow/muted sound. If music is your primary usage, you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, an excellent set of phones for calls and casual music listening.

    - Unbeatable inbound and outbound phone call quality in noisy or quiet conditions, much better than any other headset I've used (believe me, I've tried so many of them over the past 12 years and this is the only one that delivers excellent call quality, all others were utter garbage in this department) - Excellent ambient noise reduction / excellent active noise cancelation - Better than average sound quality for music - comfortable to wear for hours and stays in your ear, once you find the right sized ear tip for your ear - It can connect to two devices at once - construction is solid and materials appear durable Cons - Charges via terribly outdated Micro-USB instead of USB C - Charges very slowly - just okay battery life - design (not construction quality) is not intuitive or user friendly as, e.g LG headsets - Not very secure for jogging or very vigorous exercises unless you don't mind losing your precious headset - Pairing is not automatic and unintuitive Overall, if making phone calls is important to you then the performance of this headset is 10/10, but the design inferiority listed above still need to be addressed. I'm glad I got this headset as it's consistently excellent for making calls with very crisp and loud sound in every enviroment, every time, all the time and sounds even better than holding up the phone to my ear.

This headset is a good one. The sound is great, phone calls sound ok. The only downside is that the NC isn't as good as I expected when no music is playing. However, when u have music playing it blocks out almost all the noise.

Hello Fred - We are glad that you are happy with the sound and call quality of the Jabra Elite 65e, although we are sorry you are not completely satisfied with the Active Noise Cancellation when not listening to music. We encourage you to try out the different sized eargels and earwings to find a more secure fit, as this might help improve the noise cancellation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team: https://www.jabra.com/ServiceMenu/contact/ContactJabraSupport/ContactJabraSupportConsumer. While working from home I wear this all day for teleconferences. It's very comfortable for long term use, the ANC works well, and the battery life is solid (I spend many hours on calls each day). The microphone works well, people never have problems hearing me. The one minor downside is that I find the neckband a bit slippery, it'll easily slide down my back if I lean back in my chair. I have a 16-1/2" neck, the bendable arms aren't long enough to be able to tighten them to cinch in and stay in place.

I own a bunch of headphones and I can honestly say these are absolutely superb! Everything from the build quality, the sound quality and the call clarity are beautiful. The build is very nice while remaining lightweight. The ergonomics are excellent as well with a good set of ear pieces to customize your fit. They are lightweight enough to keep in your ear for a long time without issue. battery life so far has been excellent as well. The sound quality really is outstanding. I have always found there to be a clear difference between full size over the ear headphones and earbud style headphones. The sound on these is right up there with full size headphones. Beautiful clarity and a nice balance. The call audio quality is just as excellent and the controls are easy to use as well. These really short be on your short list if you are in the market for a new set of headphones.

Finally I am glad I found these. I was searching long time for neckband wireless earbud headsets with good sound and most imp. good call quality for my office conf calls. I tried Bose QC35 II but it picked up lot of background noise during calls. Then I tried sony c400 which was good but design and looks bad. I went on to underarmour sportflex it was good but lacked in clear call quality. Finally I found these which are great in call quality and also sound is good. This has good features like ANC and hearthough options. ANC does good job of suppressing surrounding sounds. Magnetic earbuds on detaching call is picked, but I have not find any control button to pick call yet. I would have loved more battery life (8 hours avg), but can manage with this. Fits good I ears as well and comes with carrying case. As I said just when I was losing hope of finding clear call quality neckband earbuds after trying so many, I found these by luck on my last visit to best buy, which was great.

I could be biased because I am still not used to the type of wireless headphones that rest on your ears. Seeing as how the other kind doesn't stay in my ears when I jog, I figured I would try these. The price is reasonable and the quality is good, both sound and design. The app is user-friendly, not complicated or confusing at all, and the preset sound options fit well with my workout. I can make calls without having to stop working out with the voice assistant. I don't know if I have small ears or something, but even with the replaceable ear gels, I find it hard to keep the buds in my ear. The neck rest saves me from having to pick them up off the ground and reduces the risk of breaking.

This product is great on all points but one. I love the app that allows you to adjust with an EQ, control external background sound, see battery power, create background sounds like songbirds/pink noise/rolling river plus other features. The sound is pretty good, but I had to remove a piece of the earbud gel so it fits in my ear better. I like the fact that I can watch a movie on my tablet and still answer my phone. It works with two devices at the same time. The only thing that I dislike is that the part that rest on the back of your neck. It seems to always slip down. It is difficult to keep them on your neck while moving around as I do at work or in the yard without constantly pushing them back up on your neck. If you can put up with that, I think I got a good bargain at $139 on sale.

The Jabra Elite 65e is yet another neckband style headset. I'ven't used a lot of Jabra products in the past few years, but I always remember their bluetooth headsets back in the day. The 65e is a solid headset in keeping with Jabra's reputation. Setup is quite easy. They enter pairing mode immediately and are easy to pair. The voice prompts are straight forward and not as grating as some other cheaper headsets. There was significant attention to detail on user experience here, and it shows. While the 65e boasts superior call quality, this feature has fallen far on my list of important features. I'ven't had any complaints with the few calls I've taken. It's pretty cool that they can vibrate as well as make a pretty subdued tone to let you know you've an incoming call. The experience is quite nice w/ calls. Where the 65e stands out to me is both audio quality and ANC. To get the best experience you need to ensure you've fitted the earbuds properly. The silicone inserts need to create a decent seal in your ears. The inserts that came out of the box installed were perfect to me, but there is a tray of other silicon pieces to ensure a great fit. This is essential to both sound quality and ANC working. The buds are held in place by the inner lobe area using the 'EarWings'. The manual goes through how to install and adjust for your needs. If properly sealed, the 'passive' noise cancellation does a decent job of keeping things quiet. The ANC when enabled really cuts down on the background hums. Compared to my other ANC headphones (over the ear), the noise cancelling is pretty good. Things get quite quiet. I'ven't used them on a flight yet, but my assumption is that they'd perform well in that situation (which is essentially what ANC was designed for). Sound quality is top notch. The bass is quiet sublime without stretching to the absurd. The mids and highs are clear, and don't suffer from any over extension. The sound stage is narrow, but such is life when the sound drivers are literally in your ear canal. I found the treble could approach a bit of harshness and higher volumes (at least for me), but using the Sound+ app from Jabra, you can use a global 5-band equalizer to tune sound to your preferences. The overall design of the headset is very premium. The materials are solid, and most of surface is a soft-touch plastic. The only downside for me is that the neckband can get a bit hot if it's sitting directly on skin. The right side has a multifunction button flanked by volume up and down. The left side has an 'assistant' button and ANC on/off button. One of the cooler features is the 'hearthrough' which mutes your music, and passes through microphone input to your ears. The idea is if you're listening to music, and someone needs to talk to you, you just hold the ANC button for 2 seconds and then you can carry on a conversation without ever removing your earbuds. In practice it's a bit odd for me, but it does function quite well. Another great usability feature is the magnets for the earbuds. While it keeps them tidy when not in your ears, it's also smart enough to pause your music when you click them together. Also if you're receiving a call (and feel the vibration), separating the buds will answer the call. This is really nifty. Overall, the Jabra 65e are a highly polished set of ANC earbuds with excellent sound quality. Its the sort of polish that you won't get from most $200 earbuds. If you're in the market for earbuds, and would like ANC to cut out some background noises/hums, try the 65e's - you won't be disappointed.

These were my first wireless noise-canceling in-ear headphones and for that reason, I didn't have any experience with a similar device. I tried not to compare with an over the year type to be true to the audience target this was meant for. One feature that I really like is the neckband. Although I do like the ones with no wires, I never feel comfortable exercising with them. No matter how they swear they wouldn't pop out of your ears, they do even if it's just once in a while. The Jabra Elite 65e is less likely to happen in my experience so far and I do exercise at least once a day. To me, what really matters is comfort and sound quality. Comfort was not bad but I couldn't stand using them for more than a couple of hours in my ears. This is a common problem for me and you may not experience it the way I do. As for sound quality, this will not disappoint many people, even audiophiles like me. Good base for this type of device. There were no statics with iPhone 7 Plus or iPad. Call quality, however, was a mixed experience. For me it was excellent but people at the other end complained about echo. I couldn't figure out the right settings - if any - to fix that. Noise cancellation cannot be compared with an over- or on-the-year device. It does work and it's good for a walk or run in the park but for complete isolation from the world outside and comfort, I always find myself going back to over-the-year headphones. The main issue so far is the app for customization. It could be a lot better but to be fair, I have the same problem with apps for other brands such as Sony. Maybe the issue I had with phone calls could be easily fixed with the app if it was better designed. I would give five stars for sound quality, a.k.a. music, three for phone calls, noise canceling and comfort, and two for the app. I may be mistaken but all but one of the issues above may be fixed with a software update, especially considering that these headphones have 3 mics. I would easily change my rating to five stars when those fixable issues are addressed.

    Not very good ANC

I bought it for an upcoming trip to Asia. I have good experience with Jabra Elite Sport (truly wireless). It has good design and setup was easy. The sound quality and call quality are very good. Ear tips (S, M, L) are not as comfortable as I like, but tolerable. I figure I'll grow into them. The main issue, the reason for me to buy this, was the ANC. It didn't seem to be very effective. I tested on the car where there is constant noise, the kind of noise that's normally reduced by ANC. It worked but not as dramatic as I thought. My wife has an old Bose QC 20 for me to compare. It was a noticeable difference!! I then thought maybe plugged-in vs bluetooth is the problem. I then bought a Bose QC 30 for comparison. Sound quality (both music and call) wise, the Jabra is better. To my ears, the QC 30 is better in ANC and comfort (very nice eartips). I returned the Jabra 65e. Sound quality during a flight is not as important to me. The goal really is to reduce background noise so I can hear whatever I want at a reasonable volume. With ANC on, I kept the volume at 30-40% percent. With ANC off, I'd have to increase the volume to 70-80%, not very good for the ears for a 10+ hours flight. Comfort is also another important thing for a long flight. No matter how good the sound is, if it's not comfortable, then it's basically useless. I think this Jabra is good for its price if it fits your ears. The sounds is excellent. To my ears, it's just not as good as Bose for ANC.

Hello Bluenycom. Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you like the overall fit and feel for your Elite 65e. The ANC is always depended on the right fit of your headset. Every ear shape is different. The Elite 65e comes with 3 different sized ear-gels and ear-wings. Often one has to try different size scenarios to achieve the ultimate fit for noise cancellation. Jabra
