I’ve always liked JabraConnect products but I’ve never thought of them as an earbud company. Always used their Bluetooth ear pieces but didn’t think of them for music per se. main function of this headset was to use for talking, which I do all day in my sales role. Secondary function was to use these for the gym. I wake Up in the morning use these at the gym for 90 mins streaming music. Then I go To work where I proceed to talk for hours on end. The battery lid is incredible. I don’t get any complaints from people regarding background noise. Sound is very good and the app provides unlimited adjustments. Very durable and long battery life. Worth the money.

Jabra Elite 65e – Exciting EQ Sound Customization

After two weeks of using the Jabra Elite 65e Wireless Neckband everyday, I feel confident in writing an evaluation focusing on its most significant features. I received this complimentary Jabra Elite 65e Neckband in exchange for an honest and informative review. Sound Quality: * Ultimately, the most important characteristic of any wireless earbuds is the sound quality. Coupled with the Jabra Sound App are numerous features, which give me not only control, but the opportunity to customize my listening enjoyment to my own personal preferences. I am referring to the on-board, Apps' Music Equalizer. This Jabra Sound App can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play for Free. It has allowed me to adjust and manipulate the various sound frequencies as I see fit. I am an 'old-school' audiophile, and I believe this is the most significant and FUN feature the Jabra Elite 65e offers. Other brands of earbuds, if they offer any user-adjustments at all, focus on the mid ranges, and, or, may give you a choice of EQ presets – Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Classical. But, the Jabra engineers knew only too well that the heart and soul of the musical sounds we hear focuses on the 60 Hz to 4 KHz - 7 KHz range. So, they based their Music EQ App predominantly in those ranges. This is very unique for any headphones or earbuds to have an on-board EQ, which allows you to increase or decrease the loudness of that particular frequency range. Back in the day when we had analog music, the 'Smile' was the most common pattern used in a 50 Hz to 16 KHz range EQ, and, still is today. Now, I prefer more richer bass, especially in the lighter bass range of 200 Hz – 800 Hz range. So, my 'Smile' gets warped here as I set the range, 250 Hz, at a higher level (see my attached photo). For me increasing this range brings out the low end of acoustic guitars, deeper notes from vocalists, piano, and adds 'oomph' for robust tones, which I enjoy so much. You do not have to use this Jabra Sound App EQ. You can enjoy your music 'flat' with no EQ enhancements. Most earbuds are designed for the mid ranges anyway. But, once you actually take the time to use this App EQ with your ears, and finely tune your listening preferences – you will be 'hooked'. This significant feature alone turns your Jabra Elite 65e Earbud's listening enjoyment into 'tasty' ear-candy. WooHoo! Call Clarity & Noise Cancellation: *Jabra Elite 65e uses 3-microphone call technology, which creates effective noise canceling insuring call clarity to a degree that’s only found in high-end, more expensive earbuds. Using three separate microphones elevates the Jabra Elite 65e into a upper-end class all of its own. If you receive and make lots of calls you will really appreciate this feature. You can adjust your audio for Jabra Default, Enhanced Treble, and Enhanced Bass. You can also adjust the Sidetone, which enables you to hear your own voice through the microphones. How cool is that? The calls I made through my digital assistant, Siri, were amazingly clear. The folks on the receiving end said I was very distinct and audible, and sounded very near to them. At this time only Siri can be enabled as my voice assistant. Amazon Alexa is coming soon. * Noise Cancellation is a two step process. First, it is very important to insure that Passive Noise Cancellation is in place with the proper fit of the correct size of EarGel and EarWings for your ears. There are three sizes of EarGel and EarWings from which to choose, small, medium, and large. A snug, but comfortable fit insures Passive Noise Cancellation. I used the large size EarGel and they are very efficient at blocking out most surrounding noise. Then, I was super amazed at the quality of Noise Cancellation using the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) control, which utilizes the three-microphones to effectively block ambient sound. There is a dedicated ANC / Hear Through button on the left side of the neckband to activate or deactivate the ANC, but you can also turn the ANC, ON or OFF, using the Jabra Sound App. I found that on my daily four mile walks it was better to allow surrounding noises by deactivating the ANC so I could be aware of auto traffic, etc. Comfort & Fit During Physical Activity: * The Jabra 65e is lightweight and comfortable to wear during most physical activities. What I really liked about the neckband is that it has a plastic body facing the back of my neck. Unlike other rubberized neckbands, which have irritated the back of my neck, this Jabra 65e is easy to wear while moving around and bouncing up and down. I would recommend this neckband for most physical activities, but not vigorous jogging or running. This is my own personal opinion, because neckbands, in general, have irritated my neck while I ran just wearing a T-Shirt. I have had to wear Polo-Styled shirts to prevent neck irritation. *While wearing these earbuds I walked four miles each day, exercised at my fitness center for an hour every other day, worked in my yard and garden, and, of course, did routine, daily, household chores. They hold up well to perspiration and clean easily. However, I must note that these earbuds are only rated, IP54, which is the lowest water protection rating. They are not submersible or waterproof, but will take perspiration and a small splash. I wore them twice on my early morning walks while it was raining - no problem. Other Jabra Elite 65e Features: * Handy Carrying Case - Included. * Three Sets of EarGels and EarWings - Included small, medium, and large. * Battery – up to 8 hours of use with the ANC ON. Up to 13 hours with ANC OFF and volume at 50%. Two hour charge time. Battery Indicator at top of the Jabra Sound App. Can charge using the included USB cord to your computer or using your smart phone charger. * Voice Guidance – You can turn this feature ON or OFF. * Phone Calls – You can make and receive exceptionally clear phone calls using your digital assistant. Additionally, you can end phone calls letting your earbud magnets mate together. * Two Year Warranty - Covers the lifespan of the device and dust and water damage. * Bluetooth – Easy and fast connection using Bluetooth 5.0. Can connect two devices at once. Two IOS. Two Android, or, one IOS and one Android. I connect with an I-Phone SE and my wife connects with a Samsung Galaxy. * Standby Time – Automatically shuts down after 15 minutes of B Bluetooth inactivity. * Free Jabra Sound App – Download from Apple or Google Play Stores. This is a 'must' for enhancing your listening enjoyment and streamlining your earbuds controls. * Vibration Neckband – When power is turned ON or OFF, and, or incoming phone calls. You can turn this feature OFF is desired. Recommendations: The sound quality, noise cancellation, and EQ ability to adjust and customize this Jabra Elite 65e to my own personal listening preferences is the most significant feature. YooHoo! Beforehand, I had to use a 3.5mm cable from my amp to my headphones to utilize an EQ for incredible sound. The adjustable voice clarity of phone calls is the second most outstanding feature. If you are busy and on the go, and make many phone calls - this one is for you. The two channel separation coupled with the nuances of gentle and prominent background sounds is spectacular. I love this Jabra Wireless Elite 65e Neckband. I highly recommend the purchase of this Jabra 65e for yourself, family member, friend, or that special graduate. You won't be disappointed.

I wasn't all that impressed with Jabra as a headphone maker however between this, and the 65t's, I'm a fan. The 65t are probably one of the best wireless earbuds out there in terms of sound quality and price. While I'm not that big a fan of neckband headphones like this, given these were the same line as the 65t's, I had to give them a shot. Not surprisingly, these are just as good as the 65t's and add noise cancellation feature to them. Sound wise, these are very good for pretty much any range of music. There's not a whole lot of bass with these but just good enough. Highs and mids are pretty spot on so no complaints there. In the box you get the usual assortment of goodies. This comes with a neoprene carrying case which is nice as well as some extra earbud tips. Battery wise, the website says you should get about 8 hours with noise cancelling on and 12 without. As far as fit/finish, these are pretty good all around. I don't like neckband headphones since some of the ones I've tried aren't very comfortable and it "feels" like you're wearing something around your neck. With these, don't really have that sensation and can barely tell they're on unless you start moving around. All in all, I'm quite pleased with these both from a functional and aesthetic perspective.

While working from home I wear this all day for teleconferences. It's very comfortable for long term use, the ANC works well, and the battery life is solid (I spend many hours on calls each day). The microphone works well, people never have problems hearing me. The one minor downside is that I find the neckband a bit slippery, it'll easily slide down my back if I lean back in my chair. I have a 16-1/2" neck, the bendable arms aren't long enough to be able to tighten them to cinch in and stay in place.

Overall - great fit in my ears and very comfortable. Others have complained about comfort - but I guess it's really personal preference! Even with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) turned on, I get just about 8 hours of run time and a quick 2 hour charge! These Jabra 65e's have "EarGel" ear pieces, helping to block out noise withing even being turned on and make them for comfortable for duration wearing! The snug fitting buds hold tight to my sweaty ears even during workouts - a definite plus. The con is I find myself taking one ear bud out when trying to talk to people. I commute on a public bus to avoid rush hour traffic, and these work just great for that! Block out all that unwanted bus and traffic noise. Great for listening to audio books! The neck halo is comfortable, but eventually I'll likely upgrade to true wireless earbuds and not have the wire draping around my neck. My friends tell me the call quality is good - and could be easily used in the car - just be careful as you may not hear other driving sounds that are important to you! I find myself NOT using the hands free features and talking with on the bus though - looks to much like I'm talking to myself and to easy for others to hear. Use the mobile app to tweak your listening experience a bit - not necessary but kind of cool. Unfortunately, they did not come with a bag, pouch or case of any sort. A bit of a miss in my opinion as many of us will take these on the go and just have throw them in the bag or backpack with the rest of your junk. I suppose the quality build and materials can take it, but would have been nice to include a case.

I’m really surprised by the great sound that come out of these guys. They are very comfortable in that you don’t jam the buds in your ear. They sit kind of like Bose in ear. The closest comparison to these are the Bose QC 30. The ANC is a little better than the Jabra’s but the sound quality ( especially the bass) is way better than the Qc’s. I also like the app that is available for the jabras that allow you to adjust the sound to your liking. For between 100 and 150 off the Bose I would get these all day long. I have owned the QC and am much happier with these.

I had to juggle... three stars or five... three or five... so I settled on four. Listen, the sound and battery life and everything else on these headphones are AWESOME! Absoiutely awesome! Sure, Bose or HK they aren't, but OMG the sound is beautiful, the highs and lows are there, you can adjust the headphones with your smart-app to change the frequency balances, the noise cancelling is superior, the hear through is gorgeous (noise cancelling but backwards - listen to your music and your wife at the same time)... but the biggest negative is the neckband keeps slipping backwards. I don't know how to keep it on my neck, and I have the neck of a linesman - nice and big, somewhere between 19 and 20" around.. These do not contour, they fit loose.. and they slip backwards all the time. One ear pod in, both ear pods in, pods magnetically clasped in front of you... the neckband slips back and off me way easy. Like, just sitting there. if they aren't attached to you or themselves, it'll slide down your back and off you so fast, its not funny. Have to keep it tucked in your shirt to hold it in place. I've had cheap neckband headphones that never fell off, and if it weren't for the sound quality of this unit this would have been returned long ago. So, thats the four. Five if they fixed the slipping issue, three if the sound was only meh.

I was looking for a pair of headphones with good quality sound and mic as I was going to use it for work phone calls that took up all of most days. Got them on sale for $129 and had a $75 gift card, so overall ended up being a good value. Great sound and mic. Design takes a little getting used to as the thicker neck band is intended to give a little more rigid form that keeps the mic line closer to your cheek. Kinda like an elderly person's classes cord you'd see holding their glasses, so its sometimes within your peripheral view. But because of that there have been no issues with the mic. The standard ear pieces fit exceptionally well (there are 3 different sizes I think) and never get loose or fall out. However, my biggest complaint (and this really goes for all in ear headphones), is my ears get sore after wearing them for hours. Also, I think they are a little slow to charge. But overall, the quality to use as mostly work mics was great. There's also a nice carrying bag included.

The name titanium black felt heavy and I was wary that it would weigh a lot on my neck. Well, that is not so. From the moment of unpckaging there’s this beautiful silicone body of the headphones which feels so nice on my neck. The headphones come with different ear gels, a charging wire and a nice zipper pouch to keep it safe. Voice clarity is the best I’ve ever had in a pair of headphones. I’m on the go a lot and many of my calls are taken by phone. Other headphones get complaints from my callers and these allowed me to accomplish my work. As you can see I’m at the gym and the noisy speaker didn’t affect my listening experience! The Jabra app is interesting and I hope it evolves to have more sound presets. Ecause three is just to limiting. You can tailor how you listen to music and your calls which is a big difference maker. I enjoy there being bass in my music but treble in my calls so I love that I can change that as I need it. I’m sort of nervous thag the charging port on the neck band doesn’t have a cover for when I’m not charging which means dirt or dust can fall in there. These are my work headphones so I’m glad the design is very luxe so that no one can question how much fun I’m having with my headphones. I keep asking people out of politeness to see if they can hear me okay and my feedback is that I sound very clear. So I’m enjoying my 65e’s quite a bit!

Got a pair for my wife a month ago. She absolutely loves them. Their just jam packed with features. I figured I'd out do her and picked up the Bose qc30, Returned them the next day. I picked up the jbl 150n, they were no comparison. Returned them. Ordered online the Sennheiser hd1 and 1more triple driver neck band. The reviews on these two were mostly 5* so I figured they would be awesome. To my dismay they could not compair either. They were returned and so I ended up coping my wife and picked up the 65e. Man they are awesome. The sound and music quality top notch, bass is crazy. The ANC is perfect. The call quality is ridiculously good. My wife works in the dialysis field and when on a phone call with her with those machines alarming in the background, they can be defining to the person on the other end of call. Now when I call her all I here is her sweet voice. Bravo on the NC 3 mic system Jabra. Jabra did a fantastic job with these. Keep up the great work Jabra.

I liked almost everything about the headphones. You can adjust the fit using the extra gels and earwings, I was able to get a good, comfortable fit. The mic worked well, and the headset sounded great. You get additional controls using your android or iPhone. A very nice headset. The only negative, which was a dealbreaker for me, was the noise cancellation. From what I have read, earbuds are generally not as effective as over-the-ear headphones for passive noise reduction, and I could tell that was the case with these. The active noise cancellation wasn't enough to make up for that. I bought the headphones as much for travel and noise cancellation as I did for its audio and mic performance. So...they went back to the store. I purchased an over-the-ear headset with active noise cancellation and that has far better noise reduction. If I only wanted the headset to counteract office noise and other mild noise reduction, I would have stuck with the Jabra, absolutely. That's why I gave it 4 stars. But for noise reduction on an airplane, which is where I would use it much of the time, I don't think any earbud type headset would cut it. The Jabra may have great noise reduction among earbuds, but I decided I needed more, and that's the only reason I didn't keep them. Everything else about them was great.

Without doubt this is the best headset for making calls with crystal clear quality while commuting or outside..these are excellent for everyday commuters.. I tried all types of Headset for checking call quality including Bose qc35, Sony, jbl but none comes even close enough, this is class apart.i took this in 2017 May, tried to upgrade with so called market leaders this thanks giving but was so much disappointed that I have to come back to this headset again. Apart from calls, sound quality is great, ANC is good but I don’t use it much so can’t comment. You have voice assistant for Siri, control buttons are great. Only con o can say is it’s neckband, and some might feel uncomfortable wearing it if not used to.. this will not be good for gym use.

This product is great on all points but one. I love the app that allows you to adjust with an EQ, control external background sound, see battery power, create background sounds like songbirds/pink noise/rolling river plus other features. The sound is pretty good, but I had to remove a piece of the earbud gel so it fits in my ear better. I like the fact that I can watch a movie on my tablet and still answer my phone. It works with two devices at the same time. The only thing that I dislike is that the part that rest on the back of your neck. It seems to always slip down. It is difficult to keep them on your neck while moving around as I do at work or in the yard without constantly pushing them back up on your neck. If you can put up with that, I think I got a good bargain at $139 on sale.

Overall it’s a really good headset. The sound is good though I wish the max output was a bit louder. One of the issues I had was that the earpiece doesn’t fit into my ear well but that could just be me. I had to remove part of the rubber casing for to to fit well. And if I turn too quickly it tends to fall off even though the magnet is supposed to help keep it secured around your neck. But it charges fast and answers my calls when I separate the earpieces.

I like the feel and fit of the 65e. I have small ears and so far I can wear them comfortably during my shift. The ANC works decently even in a noisy data center environment. I wish that the battery life would last much longer. With the ANC on, I am getting roughly 6 hours or less. I would like something between 8-10 hours. Otherwise, I would recommend the 65e for those who are looking for a good BT Wireless Headset and works in a noisy environment.

I love these headphones. I have been using them for about a month and have no complaints. The sound quality is excellent. The battery life also is excellent. The only reason I did not give them a 5 rating is because the noise cancellation is good, but not great. I use them during workouts in a noisy gym. These are great, except for the egg-shaped rubber seals that go into your ears. I bought the Jabra Elite 25e and was able to replace the painful, horrible, saucer-shaped ear seals with generic round ones that are more comfortable, but it stopped connecting to my phone on the second day, so back it went. I got these to replace those with, and they also come with those HORRIBLE saucer shaped ear rubbers. WHO HAS SAUCER SHAPED EAR HOLES? The problem with these though, is that the ear seals are PROPRIETARY and you can't replace them with some that are EAR SHAPED. I hate to send them back, but back they must go. The search is still on for a quality pair of bluetooth headphones that actually DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO COMFORTABLY!
