Hello Lakers808 - Thank you for your feedback regarding the Jabra Elite 65e. The Elite 65e uses Active Noise Cancellation to block out background noise from the speakers so that you can concentrate on the audio you are listening to. Perfect flexible headset with great quality

Finally i am glad i found these. I was searching long time for neckband wireless earbud headsets with good sound and most imp. good call quality for my office conf calls. I tried Bose QC35 II but it picked up lot of background noise during calls. Then i tried sony c400 which was good but design and looks bad. i went on to underarmour sportflex it was good but lacked in clear call quality. Finally i found these which are great in call quality and also sound is good. This has good features like ANC and hearthough options. ANC does good job of suppressing surrounding sounds. Magnetic earbuds on detaching call is picked, but i have not find any control button to pick call yet. I would have loved more battery life (8 hours avg), but can manage with this. Fits good i ears as well and comes with carrying case. As i said just when i was losing hope of finding clear call quality neckband earbuds after trying so many, i found these by luck on my last visit to best buy, which was great.

Good audio but totally useless noise cancelling

The earbuds are comfortable, have a good premium feel, and the build seems solid. The audio quality is good and the voice is clear, but the active noise cancelling is useless and does nothing to filter out any ambient noise. The app is basic, allowing you to switch between three mode and has an equalizer and options for audio cues and vibration. Overall I was satisfied with the audio performance but the ineffectiveness of the noise cancelling was a huge letdown making the asking price very hard to accept. Pro: -Audio was balanced -Build quality is good Con: -Noise cancelling does nothing -The audio cues is hard to tell apart -Tiny buttons The earpieces are comfortable and light. The soft rubber wings doesn’t put any pressure on my ear and it stays in just fine. The neck band is solid and is heavy enough with a slight curve so it doesn’t slide around or fall off. The buttons on each side are a little squishy and are somewhat small. I have to feel around to make sure I’m pressing the right buttons. The audio quality is good enough for me. The sound was balanced enough for casual listening. I don’t like earbuds that try to emphasize the bass by muffling the rest of the sound so I was satisfied with these. The vocals came in clear and crisp. For the active noise cancelling, I did not have the same great experience that other users have reported so maybe I got a defective one, but for me the ANC is just terrible. It’s so ineffective that there’s practically no difference between it being on or off. The only slight difference is that the audio is a bit louder. I can still hear all the ambient sound around me just as clear, even the low hum like the ac or fan still comes through. I would go as far as to say that these are the worst noise cancelling earbuds I’ve had, especially at this premium price. As for the app, it’s pretty basic. You can select between your general default, commute, and relaxing. The general setting lets you use the equalizer, and lets you adjust some setting for audio cues, vibrations, and your prefered noise cancelling mode. The option for commute lets some ambient sound in while the relax option is supposed to block out all ambient sounds. My main annoyance is with the audio cues. You can set it to have either vocal or audio cues indicating when the earbuds power on/off and when the ANC is on/ambient/off, but it doesn’t work consistently between the three modes. Vocal cues only seems to work in the General setting. When using the audio beeps, it’s hard to tell which mode the ANC is in, especially since there’s very difference in the audio. So unless I was sent a defective pair, these earbuds are not worth the price. Even though the audio was quite good, the “profession grade ANC” is an absolute failure. A hard pass.

Absolutely love these - they sound great, stay in my ears while running/working out, and have great battery life. I have enjoyed these quite a bit, and they rank #1 so far on my list of headphones. One of my favorite features is that when you put the earbuds back in your ear, music starts playing again (just like a flashy competitior's product). Highly recommended.

The reason I got these is because of Alexa being built in, but I am absolutely amazed at the sound coming from these little earbuds. The noise cancelling is an added plus and works quite well. They are very comfortable and I can sit and listen to my music, turn off the lights, check my thermostat, run my robo-vacuum, etc. without hardly missing a beat. Love them!

Jabra - Elite 65e Wireless Noise-Canceling are great BT headphones. Excellent all round great performance and they are certainly well built. They have a nice construction that holds well in the modern era. The problem with these headphones come in when you are trying to fit them in the ear. They are not comfortable to some users and this theory was tested with me and my girlfriend who did not enjoy the Jabra but I had better times with it. First off they are easy to pair with your phone or tablet, They also are lightweight enough to swing around on your neck all day. They lack Bass but the clear sound and tone to the audio were good enough for me to enjoy these. Stylish and subtle these headphones are nice which doesn't draw too much attention. The Active Noise cancellation is good and blocks out enough sound in the city. I've used these headphones on most of my phones and they worked out perfectly. The battery did hold up well in my experience with a full day worth of streaming music but they rapidly charge up. I wished they used USB C but that is not here. Also making great phone calls with a clear mic between me and the caller. Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant for voice-activated control worked fine. My girlfriend didn't enjoy trying these because she said they felt uncomfortable and kept falling out no matter what earbuds tips we used. If I'm being truthful here they didn't hold up that well in my ears either until I got the hang of having them in. The ends are magnetic but do not hold together well around her neck either. It's strange to say but they are great headphones and they are nice to use but with them falling out a lot I'm not sure I'm going to use them as much as I like. They are held back by the tiniest issue which could be the shortcomings of these.

If you’re looking for the best earphones for the gym, these might not be for you. If you’re looking for completely wire free, also (obviously) not for you. If you’re like me and need something for the office that not only sounds great but has good call quality as well, Jabra’s most recent offering may be exactly what you’re looking for. the good: sound quality - Wow. I am blown away by the quality of sound that I’m seeing in Jabra products recently (the 65t sound great as well, for wire-free ear buds). Full spectrum is represented well here, with nice low end extension and crisp (but not fatiguing) highs. Really well done, and fun to listen to. These have quickly become my daily drivers because of music and call quality. multiple device connectivity - can connect to 2 devices at the same time. This is so convenient during the work day. I connect to both my laptop and my phone, and switching works quite well. call quality - This is what comes to mind when I think Jabra (though I have begun to think “audio quality” as well. I use these for multiple calls for work through the day, and those on the other end of the line tell me they sound great. ANC - Passive I’ve seen before…all in ears are passively isolating to a certain degree. Active noise cancelling?? I’m not sure if they cancel on par with something like an over ear QC35 from Bose (which are probably tops here) but still pretty effective. I’ll definitely be trying these on my next flight. comfort / fit - I have trouble with lots of in ears fitting properly, and the shape of these, along with the wings, make for a really secure fit. Very comfortable to use all day for me. battery life - So far, no issues using these all day during work. case - For this neck band style of in ear, an include soft case is a nice touch. it’s enough to keep them in good shape if you just toss them in your bag at the end of the day. app - Jabra’s mobile app has some nice features (ANC control, equalizer), but overall could probably use a little work. It’s probably the weakest part of the entire package in my opinion, but in no way is it especially bad. I’d really like to see the ability to control connected devices here (Bose app has this feature). the bad: none for me overall: For me, these are an absolute home run. I never imagined that my go to pair of headphones for daily drivers would Jabra (over, say, Bose, JBL, Sony, B&W). I need 3 things in my daily use - 1. obviously music quality is paramount 2. phone call quality for work and 3. at least enough battery life to get through the day. This headset is superb for all 3 without a doubt. 5 stars, highly recommended for those with similar needs.

    Good Sound, bad interface

I really wanted to love these headphones, but the way they connect and function just won't let me. On the Good Side: Sound is GREAT. ANC works well, fits my ear well also. The So-So: Microphone isn't all that awesome. I have 2 different Plantronics single-ear models that have significantly better microphone performance than these did. Skype calls were a big need for me, and I was kind of disappointed here. Also, the battery only seems to last 6-7 hours if you use ANC, not the 13 hours shown. Lastly, the range and connectivity is mediocre at best. There are many pauses/stuttering audio even at 5-10 ft away. The Bad: The app/service that runs on your phone when using this product is bad. There aren't enough features to justify needing it over using buttons on the headset. A service runs the whole time it's paired to your phone, and that service eats a lot of battery. When I've connected to 2 devices at the same time, typically the media players on both devices stop working. Out of all the BT devices I've owned, this one does the worst job of managing multiple connections. The only option I've had with this is to make sure I completely disable Bluetooth on any device I'm not using right at that moment when turning the Jabra on. Overall, I'm let down by this headset. It just doesn't stack up to the other Jabra products I own, and ultimately I returned mine.

headband format, noise cancelling, liveable flaws

I'm not totally sure what to think of the headband/neckband style of headphones, or neckbuds as I've seen them referred to. They're definitely made for activities and they definitely get in the way of said activities if not implemented correctly. This latest offer from Jabra steps it up in a number of ways. The headband for this pair is a little more sculptured to fit the back of the neck and sit comfortably on your clavicle. This keeps them from flopping around as much as some others. Active noise canceling is out of this world, probably due to the use of 3 microphones internally to drive the noise canceling. They also use these 3 microphones to give you a "boosted ear" mode which is kind of cool, but I'm not sure what you'd use it for unless you're hunting big game. The active NC seems to get better and better with every pair of headphones I put on, everyone is trying to match Bose's capabilities. Jabra is right up there with Bose and Sony for the amount of presence that you DO NOT feel when the active noise canceling is on. Battery life goes down quite a bit from 13 hours to 8 when you use the noise canceling, which is less than stellar. Also, Jabra has insisted on including another semi-useless app that has the ability to change the sound profiles and make sound adjustments. Now to the loss of a star. These kinds of headphones are BEGGING to be used on an airplane. Or in a vehicle, but the noise canceling is a feature that many seek out for flying. Why then has Jabra omitted a hardwire plugin for these headphones? These phones are sweat resistant, which is appropriate for activities but not water resistant like some of their competitors at this price range. Unfortunately, the ~2 bills price range is littered with headphones doing active noise canceling and I can't say this is my first choice. If you have to have a neckband/neckbuds then you'll like these, otherwise, score yourself more features at the same price elsewhere.

I’ve used neckband head phones for years, I had many pairs of LG tone’s. And prior to my Jabras I had some Sony WIC-400s. The Jabra beats these and my LG tones in every category except battery life. I use these all day everyday. 12-15 hours a day 5-6 days a week. They typically have to be charged at least once during the day. The sound is superior to my Sony’s and my LG’s, I will say the Sony’s would get louder but lacked noise canceling. I don’t typically work in a loud environment but when I do the noise canceling is handy, but it does deplete the battery quicker. The buds are magnetic so they stick to each other when not in use, which I didn't think would be nice, but after having a pair with magnetic ends I can’t imagine being without it. The ear “hooks”? If that’s what you call them fit nicely in my ears and it comes with multiple sizes and shapes so it’s almost guaranteed to fit snuggly. My biggest complaint, and probably the only reason it isn’t a 10/10, is the silicon buds that go in your ear come off relatively easy. Far to easy in my opinion. I have lost many sets of them. And actually has to buy a whole new set, which was more difficult to find than I would have thought. Took almost 2 weeks to get. Other than that they are a fantastic headphone, I like the neckband style of headphones due to the fact that I can take the earbud out and not have to worry about losing it. Will buy again. When in the market for some top quality noice canceling I will look at Jabra before even considering any other top brands.

I own a bunch of headphones and I can honestly say these are absolutely superb! Everything from the build quality, the sound quality and the call clarity are beautiful. The build is very nice while remaining lightweight. The ergonomics are excellent as well with a good set of ear pieces to customize your fit. They are lightweight enough to keep in your ear for a long time without issue. battery life so far has been excellent as well. The sound quality really is outstanding. I have always found there to be a clear difference between full size over the ear headphones and earbud style headphones. The sound on these is right up there with full size headphones. Beautiful clarity and a nice balance. The call audio quality is just as excellent and the controls are easy to use as well. These really short be on your short list if you are in the market for a new set of headphones.

The Jabra, Elite 65e Headphones were amazing. Push 1 button to easily sync with phone - even my lousy Blackberry! Sound was crystal clear and balanced. The "necklace" was so lightweight that I didn't realize I had it sitting on my neck. The earbuds were extremely comfortable as well and they stayed in your ear! In my opinion, the only negative the headphones have is that the "buttons" on both wires were hard to see; it would have been nice if they were a different color to make them more distinguishable. Great item!

I bought the Jabra not only for the good reviews but the price was lowered too. I had no problems in getting setup. Only thing i had to get use to was the feelings for the controls buttons on the neck area to make adjustments to the volumes etc. And it is lightweight around the neck.

I purchased the Elite 65e in hopes of finding a good all around set that would work well on my commute, on daily Google Hangouts/Meets, and on the occasional plane trip (to replace my aging Sony over-the-ear noise cancelers). I tried them with an iPhone 7 and a couple of MacBooks. The Good: - Nice rich basey sound for music - Very good passive noise isolation due to earbud fit - Helpful voice and tone assistance - Effective "hear through" mode - Good companion app for changing equalizer signatures, ANC/Hear-Through on-off and various other settings. Also includes pink noise and ocean wave tracks. - When not in use, earbuds click together with magnets and auto power down, making it easy to keep them in reach for next use - Nice quality build and premium feel, including carrying case The Disappointing: - Call mic quality was not good at all in anything but a quiet environment, and thus not effective for most of my call scenarios. This was especially disappointing given the reviews and marketing claiming superior call quality. I tried with both the phone and the MacBooks with same result. - Frequent dropouts on busy NYC streets. - Neckband, although attractive and a nice fit, started to feel heavy on my neck after wearing more than 30-60 minutes. Defeats the desired convenience of wearing them all day so they would be in easy reach. - ANC not very effective, either blocking noise from being heard or improving call quality for other party. I really wanted to like the 65e with high hopes they would meet all my needs, but in the end they fell short on too many fronts.
