The ANC and Hearthrough features are also well-received. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues and found the case design a bit challenging to open. At last a set of earbuds that work for me on all levels. They sound great with music and podcast. They stay in my ear when jogging. The call quality is good enough and it is easy the adjust the sound to fit the programming with the included phone app. Last but not least, they stay connected to my phone without dropouts or distortion. Definitely recommended.

[Pro: Headphones stays in place during activity.]
I never once had an issue with the headphones falling out while lifting or running. The earbuds stayed in comfortably while I did a number of strenuous activities.
[Pro: Awesome battery life]
Battery life is top tier. I was very pleased with how much battery life I had after significant usage.
[Pro: App is intuitive in design and execution.]
Using the Jabra App to setup and make adjustments was pretty simple. From the app, I can use default preset modes which were very distinct in sound, or I could customize the EQ settings to my taste.
[Pro: Good noise cancellation, but even better ambient/HearThrough mode]
The noise cancellation is good, but not great. The ANC blocks out sound well enough for me to focus on my routines. Surprisingly, the HearThrough captures external sound well and allows me to have a better sense of my surroundings. HearThrough is my favorite mode out of the 2 options.
[Con: Random disconnections]
Although I’m sure this will be addressed in a firmware update, I did notice a few random disconnections when I used the headphones. The interruptions weren’t tied to any specific events, but I did notice 2 within the span of 4 hours.
[Con: Awkward placement of charging port]
Most wireless headphone cases are designed with the charging port in the back, but Jabra seemed to have been placed in the front. Although wireless charging is supported, the port is in an inconvenient spot when it’s time to remove earbuds.
[Con: Lackluster call quality]
Call quality is not a high priority because these headphones are intended primarily for workout purposes. Nevertheless, it would be nicer if call quality didn’t sound flat when a call comes through.
[Con: Pressing physical buttons can put slight pressure on ear]
Because the Elite 7 Active uses physical buttons, there’s always risk of pushing the earbuds further in (causing slight discomfort) when performing an action. I prefer touch buttons to reduce the risk. However, this might not be an issue if you don’t find yourself constantly toggling through different actions.
Overall, the headphones will work well for the fitness enthusiast. They won’t replace all your of earbuds, but they work well for the purposes of physical activity.

I've owned three other pairs of wireless headphones. DO NOT buy these to save the $30 from more established models. The positive is the sound quality. Very impressive. That's where the good times end.
The headphones and case will not charge properly. Almost every time I pick these up, the left headphone is at 100%, the right headphone is at 19%, charging case is at 100%. And those were sitting overnight. And this happens constantly. Also, you have to physically take the headphones out of the case even to see how much battery % is remaining from the app.
I rarely leave reviews, but my frustration with these led me to warn others. For this kind of money, there are much better options. Whenever I open these up, I don't know if they will be charged. Maddening.

Great for Active Workers - Has a Mute button!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I use my earbuds when working from home, while commuting and while working out. Nothing is more annoying than not having a mute function built into the earbuds. With these Jabra earbuds I can finally just tap the left earbud and mute my microphone if the dog barks or the kids start screaming or if the background noise is bothering others on the call. Yes, I can do this with my phone but often my phone is sitting in my pocket or on my desk and getting to the phone and unlocking it every time I want to mute and unmute is royal pain. If you are an active worker or live/work in an active environment these Jabra Elite 7 Earbuds are definitely something you should consider. The overall sound quality is better than most and the Jabra Sound + app gives you total control of the earbuds.
Performance: For me these earbuds have a nice balance for music. They produce clear and crisp mids and highs while providing an adequate bass response for earbuds. Using the Jabra Sound + app you can adjust the equalizer to meet your personal taste. Voice call quality was good but slightly low on volume. No matter where I was everyone I talked to said I sounded good. The earbuds have Active Noise Cancellation and Hear Through capabilities. I found that the noise cancellation worked but wasn’t totally isolating. If I used the largest ear tips I could get better noise isolation but that was at the cost of more discomfort. I have an air filter in the room where I work and with it running on medium the ANC would reduce the motor sound by about 70%. I haven’t used these on a plane yet but I would guess that it would reduce the engine drone to a soft background hum. For me this isn’t that big of an issue because it does lessen the environmental noise to an acceptable level. The Hear Through capability worked as expected. You can easily select between ANC and Hear Through by using the earbud button. I was able to Bluetooth pair with my phone, ipad and laptop without any issues. The Jabra Sound + app is one of the best I have used and the documentation Jabra provides via the app is top notch.
Fit and Function: The ear buds are thick but have a low profile so they reside mostly in your ear without looking unsightly. Jabra has covered the earbuds with a silicone rubber cover that is supposed to help keep the earbud stationary in your ear. This works pretty well but I found that the rubber coating also causes more of a rubbing sensation and thumping sound when I jog which can be quite annoying. This is not an issue when working out in the gym or walking around. The Jabra Sound + app has an interesting feature named My Fit that actually does a test to see if your earbuds are properly fitted. Using this feature it helps you decide which ear tip to use and how well the earbuds are installed in your ear. Also in the app the My Controls section lets you fully configure the button functionality for both the right and left earbud for Media, Incoming Calls and Active Calls. The earbuds have mechanical buttons on them which means you physically have to push to engage the button. I found that the buttons in these earbuds were engaged without much pressure so I didn’t feel like I was poking myself every time I used them. You can choose your preferred voice assistant via the Jabra Sound + app and then access the voice assistant with a single push on the earbud. The earbuds have auto pause capability when one of the earbuds are removed. They can also be used independently if you only want to use a single earbud. They are IP57 rated so they will handle sweat and moisture. The battery life is up to 8 hours per charge and 30 hours when combined with the case. The case has a USB-C charging port but also can be charged using a wireless charger. There is a colored led on the case to show the battery level but you can also use the Jabra Sound + app to check the levels.

Oh, how I wanted to love these in-ears...
The fit is fantastic and very comfortable in my ears. I've been using them for several days now and haven't had to even think about charging them, so it's safe to say the battery life is a champ.
The sound is full - it's not missing much low-end, which is quite the feat in headphones this small. The app that goes along with these in-ears plays a big part in that; I've been able to tweak the EQ settings as I desire, and most configurations sound great.
Another great thing about the app is how it helps you set up the ANC (active noise cancellation). The process is simple and I've appreciated the results. My work has taken me remote twice in the last few days, and I've been able to sit in a busy coffee shop and the world around me has been completely drawn out.
So...why 3 stars instead of 5? The case.
This case does not have any sort of lip, notch, or groove to help get it open. As someone who always has very short fingernails, this makes opening the case a chore. It often takes me multiple seconds of fumbling to get it open, and that frustration piles up throughout the day. The case's lid is also somewhat flimsy, and I'm worried that eventually it will crack or snap as I try to get it open.

Hello ZachG- Thanks for your review of the Jabra Elite 7 Active; we appreciate your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoy the fit, battery life, and audio quality of the earbuds! However, we regret that you find the Jabra Elite 7 Active charging case difficult to open and flimsy. We do not expect the charging case of the Elite 7 Active to break while opening the case. I've had these for 2 years now and they still work pretty well. Only recently, I've noticed that some people can't hear me properly when I'm on a call.
Unlike most other earbuds I've tried, these don't fall out of my ears easily or hurt my ears after during usage. The sound quality, microphone, and battery life are great too. Also, they are very durable because I've dropped them many times and there's no scratches or quality changes.

Very comfortable to wear for long period is time. They stay in my ear really well. The active noise cancellation is the star of these earbuds. If I’m wearing these with the active mouse cancellation active you cannot hear anything around you unless it’s extremely loud. I work in a very loud factory that requires hearing protection at all times and the ANC is still capable of blocking out most of the factory sounds and I’m able to clearly hear my music. Wore these for 10 hours straight while driving to our vacation destination. The only one that died was the one I was changing songs. The other one was still over 20% battery life.

Pros
I've had these for about a year and have loved them every day since purchase. They have never once slipped out which was original concern of mine. The material is extremely grippy and holds completely still even on long runs. They have never had connectivity issues, always immediately connect to any device and the ability to connect to multiple devices is incredibly nice. The battery life has exceeded anything I've ever needed. Literally have only once had them warn me about a low battery after nearly a full day of active use. The ANC is really good and I even put them in and turn on ANC just to focus in my busy office. I've even slept in a house while a party was going on by wearing them with ANC before.
Cons
The hear-through mode could be better, sounds are still pretty muffled and I definitely prefer taking them out when I need to hear things around me. Furthermore, a sudden sharp sound of any sort (think a fork hitting a plate) will send a huge spike in the sound which has made rip them out a few times as I wince in pain. Lastly, I wish the case had a bit more battery. I have to charge it ~twice a week. Which isn't terrible but would much rather it be once a week.
Overall, I came to write this review after a whole year because I'm genuinely impressed by this product and had been really disappointed by some other earbuds in the past (jaybirds, pixel buds).

Sound is great. Noise cancelling is great. They stay is my ears, even when running. The only issue they have is they will skip on occasion. Sound will stop and start. It doesn't happen all the time, but I have had the same issue with other ear buds. 98 percent of the time, they work flawlessly. I have a feeling the issue stems from being in environments where a lot of other blue tooth signals are transmitting. The only time this issue happens is at the gym. Solid product overall. Would buy them again.

I don't like things in my ear, so I was concerned when I went to get these buds. They are actually comfortable and stay in my ear while jogging (slowly, I am old). My only negative is I usually walk at a rec center that has basketball being played below me. I thought the ANC would reduce the noise level, but it didn't. However when I was home by the stove exhaust fan, it did reduce that noise a good amount. Price was good. Fell somewhere in middle. Music sound is very good and the app is very good as well

I love the product. The ANC, noise cancelling feature is exceptional. The hear-through option is practical and helpful when needed. They can Bluetooth to my Smart TV when my partner is working and they don’t slip off when I toss and turn in the sofa. They stay put when I go for a run and sweat too. I have bought this same one more than once.
Had a terrible experience with the Bestbuy salesperson, though. I didn’t know it at the time but I bought the warranty after the sales rep confirmed the earbuds were covered if it suffers damage caused by my pet.
When it dreadfully happened, I returned to Bestbuy Customer Service and was told I was wrong. The buds were not covered.
Maybe I’ll buy them again in the future but not sure where yet.

Being an owner of previous Jabra products I was excited to test out the new Elite 7 Active in-ear headphones.
Unboxing showed a quality product, well packaged, ergonomic design, very pleased. Fortunately in the day and age of companies eliminating an instruction card they include a convenient one-page quick start guide that proved helpful.
Getting started couldn’t be easier, put in your ear, and the guided assistant voice instructs you to pair with Bluetooth phone. Check. Next download the app.
I’d actually started that step first and was mildly frustrated seeing so many different Jabra apps in the App Store. Looking back at quick start guide and the answer were right there, as Step #2. Ok, my mistake. Just remember to get the Jabra Sound + app, that’s all you need.
The app imho is the star of the show. It’s very well implemented and convenient to setup the buds. I did have a problem getting the left but to stay in, prob odd shaped ear canals. This required me to swap the ear gel, which was not as simple as hoped. Using the largest on left and default medium on right I had what I felt was a decent seal.
Next up in the app walkthrough was an ear test to insure proper fit. Here is plays a stereo tone, and showed my left was still not good despite being pushed in preventing air exchange. Several attempts to pass this stage for me.
The slick calibration mode plays a series of tones at different frequencies through each ear bud. Being mid-50s aged, and having attended 300+ rock concerts over the past 30+ years I was disappointed to find how poor my hearing is, based on several seconds of silence between the few that I could actually hear. I suggest you do this in an ultra quiet environment, part of my problem may have been TV on in the other room. Regardless I’d suggest to Jabra to limit the amount of time for the user to respond, I accidentally skipped this after probably 30 seconds, and had to restart.
The end result though from initial listen, was it did heighten miss and upper frequencies that my ears are devoid of, so there was more clarity noticed on my sonic profile.
ANC was a bit hit or miss, there is a slider to adjust and I honestly could not tell a difference between Hear Through mode and ANC upon initial listen. Subsequent usage it did start working.
After initial setup 2nd or 3rd use I was identified of a firmware update. I was impatient and used them while it performed this, so it took a little longer than had I dedicated time for said update, so that setup bug is likely fixed.
There is an additional mode that’s icing on the cake. Soundscapes offers sound masking (pink noise, white noise, fan, waterfall, diving), as well as a sounds of nature mode (ocean waves, rainy day, songbirds, storm, babbling brook), with ANC on it’s better than I estimated, though not as good as others I’ve tested.
While I enjoy the sound, and feature set for sure, my primary complaint is two-fold, and both tied to my device of choice. Being an iPhone user these paired quickly, Voice Assistant Siri worked fine, answering calls was a breeze, … but the fit for my ears never felt as snug as reference AirPods, and there was more of a delay between phone and buds.
Normal music listening was not noticeable at all, but longer YouTube videos seemed to lose synch with audio trailing video, and playing a SongPop speed-based song guessing game I seemed to perform much worse than usual, which I blame a tiny tiny bit of additional latency.
Pros
+ Decent build
+ Sound quality
+ ANC as a feature
+ magnetic charger
+ Pleasant aesthetics
+ Fully functional iOS App
+ 3 size (S,M,L) ear gel inclusion
Cons
-cumbersome ear gel swap
-app ear test takes far too long
-lacks AirPod Spatial Audio feature
-fit for my left ear would not calibrate
-slight audio delay between phone and bud
Conclusion
There’s really a lot to like here, the ear buds are decent quietly and well made, the app is excellent, one of the better implementation that I’ve seen, and better than average sound quality. I’m picky when it comes to these, so please disregard my comments with a grain of salt. While I’d likely recommend to most ppl, they’re just not for me considering minor caveats.

Honestly ive had nothing but problems with jabra products. I bought the jabra elite 8 active and the 10 and ended up returning them. Im on my 3rd pair of the 7 elite actives and i would say this is my last try with jabra. I love the sound of these and the battery life. I also like to point out that i use them for work and i work exposed to the element so a high IP rating is important to me. Another reason why i bought jabra. I had a pair of jaybird vista 2 and they were great except for the anc which it was kinda acceptable almost mediocre. But its time to replace them because after 2 years of sweat, rain, dirt and sun the battery is shut. So once i try this new jabra elite 7 active for a little while ill ad to my review. As log as they do what they are supposed to i recomend this product. The anc is good if you work with loud equipment. The IP rating is good and the sound and the app interface is easy to use.

Great active all arounder

Summary:
Great all around buds for an active individual. The active noise cancelling (ANC) is worthless.
Pros:
- Compact design, stay in ear due to texture, light and a small charging case too
- Long battery life and case charges quickly
- Very nice sound
- Clicky buttons easy to use even when running or sweaty
- Lots of customization through the app
- Multi-point pairing
- Great passive noise cancelling due to snug fit
Cons:
- The ANC stops <5% of noise, it does almost nothing when vacuuming or driving etc
- The case is a bit fragile, particularly the hinge
- Loose connection, however this is very rare
Comparison to Jaybird Vista 2:
These are much better in almost everyway to the the Vista 2. The Vista 2 have better waterproofing, secure fit due to wing tips, slight better audio and sound in my opinion. Vista 2 also have worthless ANC. The Vista 2 does block wind noise allowing use of pass through sound when running.
Review:
I changed the settings to toggle between passthrough audio (for use when home so I can hear if my wife is trying to talk to me) and off (for running, gym, or when when I just want quite. I don't use ANC, it literally does nothing. ANC even let's in a little wind noise when running. Pass through let's in a lot of wind noise so I never use it for running. These stay in your ear great due to grippy texture, but are easy to take in and out. They snap into place in the case every time with no effort. The controls are easy to use, intuitive, and almost 100% customizable. The audio is good and volume is loud enough for a noisy gym. The Google assistant functionality is pretty good, but not perfect. Overall these are the best true wireless Bluetooth earbuds I've ever owned. Would have given 5 stars if they weren't marketed as having ANC, because they don't, and the wind noise wasn't so bad when running that I ever use the hear through. These are a great all around earbuds for those who want something for casual listening and exercising, but can't afford two sets of ear buds.

Overall these sound great. I have relatively small ears and have a hard time finding comfortable earbuds, these fit very well and i have worn them comfortably for 6hrs straight. I bought them mainly because they have multy point bluetooth which after the firmware upgrade works great with my Sony walkman and Samsung Note. The only reason i don't give 5 stars is the ANC i works but not that great. I will try reprogramming the ANC and see if it improves but these have become one of my daily use buds.

The grippy material keeps them from falling out during workouts and you can shower with them. Jabra's case is USB-C charged and thinner/sleeker than last year's model but bulkier than other popular brands. The inside of the case is lined with the grippy material making it feel premium.
Sound quality is ok and call quality is middle of the road. The waterproofing, small size, and material are the top reasons to choose these earbuds over other brands. Battery life is an impressive 8 hours but I have yet to be able to drain them.
