Exceptionally good headphones! This is my third model from Jabra. I had 65t, 75t and now 7 Pro. I can compare it to previous models and can say these headphones are really good ones.
Sound quality is better than 75t, fits same as previous ones. Call quality better. I do miss volume control, but it is not a deal breaker for me.

Loved these amazing ear buds! The sound quality was fantastic. Also the adjustable active noise cancellation made these even more awesome! They were super comfortable to wear. They didn’t hurt my ears after wearing for hours, unlike my previous brands of headphones. I received this product as a discount for my review.

Good Noise Cancellation, Wonderful Hand Feeling!

I've received and have been using the Jabra Elite 7 Pro - Titanium Black for a few days. Nice packaging box, lovely earbuds case, wonderful earbuds! I really love the color of Titanium Black, as well as the hand feeling.
The noise cancellation shocked me a lot that I didn't expect it was so wonderful! The voice is clear, and I almost heard nothing from the surroundings!
The Bluetooth is very easy to connect to phones with different systems, as well as my Surface laptop.
Meanwhile, the earbuds fit my ears well, I wore them when I was running and almost feel nothing weird and uncomfortable.
Besides, the Jabra Sound+ APP is easy to use, you can customize your Jabra Elite 7 Pro very easily.

Not Much Better Than Cheaper Earbuds

I had high hopes for these, I figured if paying about $200, that these would provide an excellent listening experience, but they did not prove better than my other brand of earbuds and headphones that are bluetooth. I expected a very rich sound, but my other ones are richer. I look for the sound quality mainly, not so much other features but if you look for custom-ability and personalization, these may be for you. The plus is these have very good materials, nothing is cheap-feeling. I particularly liked the case. I recommend using the app because it controls most of the earbuds. The battery is good. I had trouble connecting them to my smart phone, and it kept repeating a message to look for Jabra on my bluetooth list and select it. I recommend them if you don't mind paying the extra money for earbud sound just as good as cheaper ones, and like to use an app and customize these to your liking. Otherwise, I don't recommend them.

FIT:
Obviously, this varies greatly from person to person as we all have different ear shapes. Their previous smallest earbuds were the Jabra 75T and these are supposed to be 16% smaller. Which appear accurate (see picture). I find these to be incredibly comfortable and usually forget they are in my ears and must admit out of all the wireless earbuds I own these are probably the second most comfortable only being beaten by the AirPods Pro.
BUILD QUALITY/CASE:
Overall build quality feels great. The case and earbuds feel like a premium product. The buttons on the device itself feel great to press with mild pre/post travel with satisfying clicks that don’t make a lot of noise and only mildly transfer into the eardrums. I’ve found battery life to be fantastic and they last a long time. They report 8 hours with the buds and then an additional 30 hours with the case. This appears accurate from my non-scientific testing. When they get to about 20% they will tell you the battery is low. Then go a long time before telling you it is low again. As it gets to the 2 - 3% it increases the frequency. During each of these alerts I noticed some static and disconnection from each bud, which sorted itself out within a second or two. They also have fast charging where five minutes will net you an hour. Overall charge time is quick as well. It comes with IP57 rating. Which is amazing making them able to be submersed in water. So even the hardest workouts won’t dent these, and you can even use them in the shower or hot tub. It has Bluetooth 5.2 which is the newest standard. Jabra Sound+ App is fantastic with a bunch of customizability options. Albeit a bit less with these than the Jabra 75T. Onboard controls for the most part worked fantastic first try without any issues or lag. Especially Play/pause, skip forward, and skip backward. I had an issue when I had ANC, Hear Through, and Off selected. But going to just ANC and Hear Through I had no issues. Voice Assistant was the least consistent but worked most of the time.
I like this case A LOT. It’s very small and compact and easily fits into your pocket with a good coating so it isn’t too slippery. It is smaller than any of the others I have which include Sennheiser, AirPods, AirPods Pro, and Jabra Elite 75T. It has a USB C port on the front and supports Qi charging. With the top and bottom of the case being flush it can make it semi-difficult to open the case with one hand. The earbuds are held in magnetically and snap into place which feels good. The latch is also magnetic and feels good to open and close.
SOUND:
Again, this is quite subjective from person to person. But personally, I think they sound fantastic better than my Jabra 75T (by a good margin), AirPods, and AirPods Pro’s. Putting a number to it, an 8/10. I find the highs, mids, and lows to be right where they should be without one overbearing the other. But do have a slight lean to the bass without causing muddiness or congestion. They have great imaging where I can easily separate different instruments, vocals, and other nuanced sounds. When you are first setting them up in the Jabra+ software it will do a hearing test and then automatically adjust to the “best” settings for you which I think makes a big difference. You also have an EQ that you can adjust if you so wish. But I’ve found that they come in a lot louder than my other buds with the minimum sound being around 60 dB. I’m not sure if that is from the auto EQ or not. But you can easily go into the unhealthy range of volume if you have them set to >50% (measured on my iPhone 12 Pro through the “hearing app”). Which could also be inaccurate. I did not notice any difference with audio quality when ANC was on/off or with Hear Through on/off. Another negative is that these have HORRIFIC latency. The worst I’ve seen in a high-end product for a long time. To the point watching any type of media is unbearable as the lip sync is way off. It also eliminates them from gaming (which I never recommend anyways). This MAY be fixed/improved through firmware.
ANC and Hear Through:
These have fantastic Passive Noise Isolation (PNI). So, good that I thought I had ANC on but didn’t. But the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is only meh. As the difference of when it is on compared to off is minimal and highly situational. Where sometimes (if the noises or more low) it makes a big difference, but if more kids/highs not so much. To put numbers to the words I’d give the PNI a 7/10 and the ANC a 5/10. The ANC does go through a setup process to try and make it better, which works but for me was minimal. This MAY be improved in a future firmware update. The ANC and Hear Through is better on my Jabra 75T and much better on my Apple AirPods Pros.
Hear Through on these is average as well. I’m not a fan because I’ve been spoiled by the AirPods Pros. Even with Hear Through on things are muffled and quiet. You can hear conversations, but they aren’t super clear. Directional audio quality isn’t bad. But things come across as tinny. I also noticed some occasional static and disconnect when on this mode when certain sounds occurred.
MULTIPOINT:
As of writing this review, they have not added it. Supposedly it is coming in a future update. Personally, I rate products on what they have now over what may be coming. If the earbuds are powered on and connected to a device already, you need to disconnect them from that device, then by holding both earbuds buttons down it will go into pairing mode almost immediately (seriously it’s fast), and then you can connect to a new device. It is cumbersome. I don’t like it.
VOICE/CALL:
I did a comparison between a few different wireless earbuds and the quality of your voice comes out on top by a noticeable margin. At times they can sound fantastic and then others not so much. It was really inconsistent. What I did like is that my voice (when it was working right) sounded really good and very accurate and even had some low end. However, they pick up background noise like a boss. Where if you are typing or working or something similar it will get picked up as well which can distract whoever you are talking too. So, I’m on the fence. Again this may be fixed with firmware.
FIRMWARE:
The firmware for these is not where it needs to be. I think hardware wise these are fantastic, and I’d even argue are some of THE BEST you can find on the market. As they do so many things right with the small case, size of buds, microphones, battery life, drivers, etc. However, with the firmware being buggy the hardware isn’t operating like it should and leaves you with a subpar performance.
Some other firmware issues I experienced. Was when using Siri (by pressing the left bud twice) it would activate her, then the earbuds would automatically switch to Hear Through. But the Hear Through isn’t working correctly and is only about 50% there. There was also an instance where the voice activation became completely unresponsive and the Hear Through wasn’t activating.
There was a time where I tried to have the ability to select off, ANC, and Hear Through, and I could only get ANC and Off without any ANC. It wasn’t until I went inside the settings and reset them that it worked again. Since that time I haven’t had any issues.
Others have mentioned the two buds disconnecting from each other. I haven’t noticed this issue at all. When I pull them out of the case they almost immediately connect to my device. I’ve also been able to use just one earbud without any problems and if I pull out the other it immediately connects and syncs up. I was also able to put one back in the case without any issues and then pull it back out and have it sync back up again without any problems.
CONCLUSION:
Currently there are a lot of things they are getting right and a lot of things they are getting wrong. If they fix the firmware these will be fire. I can’t recommend a product on what COULD be, so I’d pass at this time. But if you are seeing reviews where they have added multipoint and other firmware issues are resolved I’d jump on them. As the hardware is exactly where it should be and is held back severely by incomplete firmware. As is I am giving them three stars (simply due to the firmware makes them average) but if they got the firmware where the 75T’s are then I’d charge it to a 5/5 and would place them in the #2 spot of the best earbuds on the market overtaking the Jabra 75T. Which is really a shame. As they have so much potential.

Hello SirGalahad- Thank you for writing a review for the newly released Jabra Elite 7 Pro. We regret to read that you are not completely satisfied with the call quality, but it is nice to learn that you are enjoying the audio quality. The challenges you have described in your review regarding background noise during calls are not expected. We hope you will contact the Jabra Support Team: https://bit.ly/3BNXN1f. We want to provide you with the best assistance. Our intention is still to add Multipoint to the 7-series. We are working to bring this feature into this more sleek and advanced form factor, and for this reason, we experience some delays. We plan to bring this update to the market very soon. Regarding the Left multi-function button, you must set up and personalize Active Noise Cancellation in Jabra Sound+ before you can activate it from your headset. When you are on a call, the following conditions apply. 1. ANC will stay on during a call. 2. HearThrough will turn off during a call, and then resume when the call is finished. 3. You can change the ANC and HearThrough settings in the Jabra Sound+ app. In Sound modes, you can choose the modes you want to cycle between when you press the Left button on your headset: 1. HearThrough & ANC 2. HearThrough & Off 3. HearThrough, ANC & Off Regardless, your feedback is truly valuable to us, and we have passed this information along to the Product Development Team. Thanks again for writing a review.

I love he sound quality of this product and this is coming from someone that has spidey senses. Easy to use and connected to my Alexa and my iPhone in a matter of minutes through their app and i did even switch it to my ipad at times so easy to get it to work. Only issue I have is taking phone calls on this device I haven’t gotten it down pat as it just lets me hear myself only and not the caller as loud it sounds like they are further away. That is my only issue with it but it could just be me. I dod get this product as a discounted rate in order to give an honest review and im so glad i have them. You can make noise machine to noise canceling so many options for the stereofile fan in all of us.

Let me tell you that if you had ADHD and noise is a problem with you then these are great with the noise canceling without even having music or anything playing. Then you have the passthrough option in order to hear things and it kinda amplifies the noise in a way where you might be able to focus.
The second feature that is something that I really enjoy is that you can tune the ear buds can be turned to your hearing. They have a hearing test that tune via the app. This makes sure that what you hear out of the ear buds are good.
The app even has a white noise part that can help you calm down

The Jabra Elite 7 Pro is one of Jabra’s latest ultra-compact premium active noise cancelling wireless earbuds. Touting the “most advanced and cutting-edge call technology yet” for better call quality and a compact design that fits well in the ear, let’s see if the Elite 7 Pro lives up to the claims.
In the Box:
- Earbuds
- Qi Wireless Charging/USB-C Charging Case
- Three Sets of Silicone Ear Gels (S, M, L)
- USB-C Cable
- Instruction Manual
Setup: EASY
These earbuds use the latest Bluetooth 5.2 technology and are extremely easy to pair like most devices these days. I highly recommend downloading the Sound+ app to use with these earbuds which we will touch on later. Once paired with your device, there may be a software update to do. Jabra claims “up to 15 minutes” on the app however mind took 21 minutes to complete. Be patient and follow the directions. As of this review the Multipoint feature is not available on these earbuds like other Jabra earbuds but it said to be come eventually. These do support single earbud use if you would only like to use one at a time.
Charging/Battery: GREAT
The charging case on these support Qi wireless charging which is great to see. This means you can place them on a wireless charging pad or the back of a phone that can reverse wireless charge to power the charging case. The case features a small LED light to show charging status/updating status as they earbuds need to be inside the case to update software. On the first 10% battery life, I got just under 1.5 hours of listening at 50-60% volume with ANC off. ANC really isn’t all that effective on these but I will touch on this later. Jabra claims up to 8 hours on a charge with an extra 30 hours of listening from the charging case. I believe this to be a minimum if you are not using ANC and/or listing at higher volumes based on my time with these. Love the small size of the case, however, the design/shape makes it comically hard to open for what it is.
Features/Controls: WEAK ANC
These earbuds feature ANC, wear sensor for ear detection, physical button controls on each earbud, IP57 rating, VPU bone conduction sensors, and hear through mode. I like the physical buttons as they can be fairly easy to control with gloves unlike touch controls. They do require pressing the bud into your ear more than touch controls however. The call quality is really good as there are four mics plus two VPU sensors. I was able to communicate over the phone very effectively without any problems. The hearthrough mode works well to hear your surroundings. Then we come to ANC…
The ANC on these earbuds are really ineffective in most situations. Given the premium price point of these earbuds, I expected much more. Once they are fitted in the ear it is actually hard to distinguish between “Off” and “ANC”. I have just been using the earbuds in the “Off” mode which I assume saves some battery life and have had no issues. You can still hear louder ambient sounds over music or media but since the overall seal in ear is good, it blocks much of your surrounding anyway. I wouldn’t buy these solely for the ANC capabilities because it isn’t even close to class leading for the price.
Comfort/Design: PRETTY GOOD
I am shocked to say but these earbuds fit really well in ear. Most comfortable ever? No. They are smaller than most which means they stick out very little. They take a second to get fitted but once “installed” they sit tight and don’t move. The tips may exhibit a small amount of pressure inside your ear but it isn’t uncomfortable and hopefully one of the sizes of gel tips works perfect for you. They are very light too.
Mobile App: A MUST
The Sound+ App on for android works well. This app really has many benefits. First you get an extra 1 year of warranty if you register the earbuds in app. Next the app allows for software updates which may add features down the road and just keep you at ease that you are getting the most from the earbuds over time. Finally, the app allows you to adjust EQ and ANC which is required for these earbuds. Since we already covered ANC there isn’t much to say but when it comes to EQ… adjustment is needed for the earbuds.
Sound Quality: TWEAKING EQ, A MUST
Out of the box I was really disappointed with the sound quality of these earbuds. They sounded extremely flat and the highs were really favored too much. Jabra provides a couple stock EQ’s to choose from which help a little but I ended up making a custom EQ which I have come to like the most. It really is necessary in my opinion because they don’t sound that great out of the box. After I adjusted the bass/low end up, kept the mids about the same, and turned the treble/highs down a little I was pretty impressed by the sound quality for the little 6mm drivers. They are no WF-1000XM4 but the bass is good after adjusting the EQ assuming they are fit into your ear correctly.
Here are my approx. EQ settings based on the Jabra’s 5 sliders:
- Bass - Increased 80%
- Increased 25%
- Mid-Range - Increased 0-10%
- Decreased 25%
- Treble - Decreased 15%
Pros:
- Charging Case Qi Compatible (Small too)
- Sound Quality AFTER EQ Adjustment
- Sound+ App
- Earbud Design (All Around Fit, Comfort, Style)
- Battery Life
- Good Mics
Cons:
- Weak ANC
- No Multipoint, Yet? (Multiple Device Connection)
Overall:
I think the Jabra Elite 7 Pro’s offer a fair value if you are not searching or in need of the best ANC in an earbud. Is anything about these earbuds class leading? Probably not but the attractive fit and design, good sound quality, battery life, and compelling warranty make these earbuds above average in the class of premium wireless earbuds. Once these run on sale or become discounted, I think the value proposition is very strong.

Jabra Elite 7 Pro is a true Wireless Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) Bluetooth 5.2 earbuds in the market that delivers most of the features that airpods delivers. With its amazing sound quality, better call clarity, selective hearting and intuitive app features this earbud is up for competition with its rivals. Let us deep dive into the setup, battery life, features, controls, mobile app, comfort and finally the recommendation if you need to purchase one or not.
What is in the box: Jabra Elite Pro True Wireless Buds in a charging case, three sets of silicone ear gels (S, M, L), USB-C Cable, Instruction Manual.
Setup/ Connection: Earbud uses the Bluetooth 5.2 technology and is extremely easy to connect to the iOS device as its advertised for Made for iPhone. I used the iPhone 13 pro max to pair. To get started, download Jabra Sound+ app and it will search the nearby device to get paired. One drawback compared to its previous model 75/85T is this model does not support multipoint Bluetooth mode and cannot connect to two devices at the same time. With the software firmware update, it is expected to be released sometime soon. But this model supports, mono mode, where single earbud can be used independently. This is great for extending battery life or for phone calls.
Charging & Battery: This model supports wireless Qi charging. Just place the charging case on the charging mat to start charging the case. LEDs on the case pulse green when charging and no light when fully charged both wireless/wired charging. Battery performance is good. Battery efficiency is advertised at 8 hours of playtime in each earbud and additional 30 hours of charge from the charging case. You can also fast charge for 5 minutes for a playback of up to 1 hour.
Features & Controls: This true wireless ANC model comes with wear detect sensor that will pause the music when one of the buds is taken out of ear and plays after inserting it. Also, it features dual connect where you can just use one earbud for phone calls or hearing music and have other one in charging case or to double your talk time. IP rating of IP57 allows you to use this during workout and less worry about getting damaged.
There are four microphones with advanced Voice Pick Up (VPU) sensor in each bud along with the Jabra MultiSensor Voice technology for clear call quality. VPU sensors use bone conduction technology to transmit voice and can cancel most wind and other unnecessary noise for the clear voice/call experience. With ANC on, it blocks most of the noise and the level of ANC can be adjusted to your preference using the slider on the mobile app. You can also use the hearthrough feature for selective hearing. With just a press you can cycle through ANC or hearthrough mode and can be configured on either earbud from the mobile app.
SIRI for IOS device and Alexa shall be set in app depending on your preference. I have configured my right bud for double tap for SIRI. Unlike touch buttons on most brands, Jabra 7Pro has large physical buttons and the button works flawlessly. Button controls include play/pause, next, previous track, answer/reject calls, volume up/down and mute.
LEDs: There are LEDs on each earbud and the charging case. Earbud status is green when it is in high battery, yellow on medium and red on low battery. Also, when it is pairing it flashes blue, and flashes red during resetting. Battery status when opening charging case is green for high battery, solid red on low and flashing red for critically low battery or when the buds are not charging. Charging case will flash green in high battery level when charging wirelessly on Qi charger or by USB-C cable. When fully charged, the LEDs on the charging case will turn off.
Comfort: Its extremely comfortable and fits well with the included three different silicone ear tips sizes. Make sure to select the right ear tip for good seal. For me, the included ear tip was a perfect fit and felt light and comfortable without inserting deep into the ear. The earbuds are lightweight measuring 5.4g each offering maximum comfort and wear.
Mobile App: Mobile App on iOS is very intuitive. If you need more controls or need customization, then you need to download the Jabra Sound+ App in Appstore or google playstore. Once downloaded, you can update the firmware over the air if available. There was a new firmware available for me once configured. To update, you need to have both earbuds in the charging case to establish Bluetooth connection the firmware update takes around 12+minutes and the light flashes purple when updating. Recommend keeping the mobile near the charging case during firmware update.
Battery life in percentage for each bud and charging case is shown near the top of the app. There are three sound mode options. Active Noise Cancellation(slider), HearThrough, off. A Slider bar appears for ANC where you can control how to hear surroundings. Below the sound mode option is the music equalizer with six music preset like Neutral, Speech, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Smooth, Energize and the ability to create a custom preset by clicking the + sign on the app. Lastly, Soundscape section to mask the noise around you is a welcoming feature to select different noise like Pink, white noise, ventilation fan, waterfall, diving and various sounds of nature (ocean waves, rainy day, songbirds, perfect storms, babbling brooks). Also, you can rearrange the homepage of the app by moving or removing the section by clicking the edit widget option.
For more settings, click the wheel icon on the top right of app home page where you can find the option for headset firmware updates, headset settings, personalization of headset, Voice assistant (ios default, Amazon Alexa), Find My Jabra, quick start guide, user manual.
Find my Jabra is similar to find my on iPhone where it displays the earbuds on the apple maps.
Pros: Clear calls everywhere, IP57 water/dust resistance, eight-hour battery on each earbud with 30 hours on charging case, Comfortable secure fit, Mono earbud option, Small and mighty durability, 2-year warranty.
Cons: Not great ANC compared to other leading brands, No Multipoint support.
Verdict: Overall, impressive set of earbuds that offers all notable features with excellent sound and call quality in small form factor compared to previous generation.

The Jabra Elite 7 Pro are a quality set of earbuds, but for the premium price - they have surprisingly weak Active Noise Cancellation. Most of the noise isolation actually comes from the seal created by the rubber tips. The level of ANC is adjustable within the Jabra Mobile App, but any setting less than Maximum simply isn’t worth using.
Also disappointing is the design which feels generic and uninspired. There is no special shape or ergonomic design - instead Jabra has gone with the generic jellybean shape that relies solely on the rubber tip to generate enough pressure to stay in place. Luckily, the single button on each earbud is easy to activate with a light touch that doesn’t push the earbuds uncomfortably into the ear canal. Controls are much easier to use than most other earbuds I have tested.
Call quality is better than average, although the ANC functionality doesn’t appear to successfully eliminate much background noise for the caller. The best feature, in my opinion, is the Hearthrough feature. When activated, it uses the microphones to enhance the sound coming from the environment. I am able to quickly activate the feature with a single button press and then have an effortless conversation without removing either earbud. Hearthrough is much more helpful than I ever expected and allows the earbuds to be used in any environment. When taking my dog on walks, or when riding my bike I have been using bone-conduction earphones so that I can still be aware of my surroundings, but this audio passthrough feature works even better as I can adjust the volume to have improved hearing when needed - improving safety and convenience.
Battery life is quite good, but without the Mobile App the headphones only toggle between ANC and Hearthrough - both which use extra power. Battery life could be improved further if only ANC was easier to turn off with the buttons on the earbuds. And because ANC isn’t very impressive, it doesn’t need to be used often.
I appreciate that the case charges with USB-C, but for the price - the case should have the ability to charge wirelessly. The case can also be difficult to open as it is perfectly smooth with no grove or texture along the seam where it opens.
My final disappointment is that the Elite 7 Pro is only able to connect to a single Bluetooth device at a time. The ability to connect to my laptop and my phone at the same time would be incredibly convenient and would have increased their usage (and their rating).
If the Elite 7 Pro was less expensive, I would have ranked it 4 stars - as they truly are good earbuds with balanced audio. But, at such a premium price point, they do little to stand out from the myriad of other Bluetooth earbuds. At this price, they should really feature wireless charging, be able to connect to multiple sources simultaneously, and have more polished and effective ANC.

Brand response from Jabra

Hello TheDuke- We appreciate your detailed review of the Jabra Elite 7 Pro, and we are thrilled to hear you particularly enjoy the device's call audio quality, battery life, and USB-C charging case, which does support wireless charging. We are sorry that you are less satisfied with the device's ANC, fit, and connectivity. We've designed the Elite 7 Pro with a so-called "closed design," which is a critical enabler in making the Elite 7 Pro our most discrete and comfortable earbuds yet – key purchase criteria among our users. Due to the closed design and excellent sealing of the Elite 7 Pro, however, the passive noise cancellation (PNC) is very high, making the perceived difference between turning ANC on and less obvious, especially for some users depends on the individual ear canal acoustics. However, when it comes to total noise cancelation (ANC + PNC), we are confident that the 7 Series will delight users and meet their needs for blocking out their surroundings on the go. We completely re-engineered the Jabra Elite 7 Pro's in-ear fit design and added frequency-dependent pressure relief vents for maximum comfort. We've also engineered a pioneering new EarGel™ design, varying the thickness of the outer gel for each size and crafting a more tapered, rounded tip, allowing us to deliver a fit that's anatomically optimized to fit your ear perfectly. In addition to the new fit design, we made the Jabra Elite 7 Pro 16% smaller than our Jabra Elite 75t, offering even more comfort when wearing the device for an extended time. Lastly, we plan to implement Multipoint connectivity to the Jabra Elite 7 Pro through a firmware update in early 2022. Our goal was to release this functionality when we first released the Elite 7 Pro, but we needed a bit more time to perfect the technology. We hope all this has convinced you to give the Jabra Elite 7 Pro another try. Feel free to contact us directly if there is anything else you want to discuss: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-7-pro/100-99172701-98/contact-support.

Unboxing and Setup
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro wireless earbuds with Multisensor Voice and adjustable ANC came in a easy to open box. Opening the front lid displays easy to follow steps. I inserted the earbuds and a voice told me to select the Jabra entry in my phone's Bluetooth setup. They instantly paired. I installed the Jabra Sound+ app to my iPhone which prompted me to name my earbuds. Then the app checked my fit and told me to try better fitting EarGels. I selected the Active Noise Cancellation settings and used the Personalize ANC to adjust it to my needs. I also set the HearThrough setting to allow some external noise to come through. My last step before use was to check for a firmware update via the gear icon in the Sound+ app. The download and installation of the update took a little over an hour.
Earbuds
The earbuds have a nice solid feel. There is a bright led light at the top of the push button on each earbud which can show seven different status conditions. The push button on each earbud is significantly large enough to easily press. The right earbud button controls playing/pausing of music, increasing volume, selecting next track, repeat current track, and selecting the previous track. The left earbud button controls the ANC/HearThrough toggle, Voice Assistant, and decreases volume. Both earbuds can be used to answer, end, mute, or reject a call. With the Sound+ app, the earbud button controls can be customized. If one earbud is left in the case the active earbud will switch to Mono mode.
There are three different sizes of EarGels provided for different ear sizes and best fit for ANC noise isolation. I found that the earbuds, though small, fit quite securely and did not come loose during movement or conversations. The music will pause when one of the earbuds is removed. Another nice feature is the earbuds will automatically turn on when removed from the case and will turn off when placed back into the case. The manual says there is 11 hours of battery without ANC in the earbuds and 9 hours with ANC on, and 42 hours in the case for recharging. The earbuds will recharge in the case when it is not plugged into a power source, then both the case and the earbuds will also recharge when plugged back into the provided USB cable. A full charge takes 2.5 hours. A fast charge of the earbuds in the case for 5 minutes will give 1.2 hours.
Charging Case
The case is solid and has a nice texture for easily gripping. An LED below the charging port on the front of the case shows the status of charge and status during firmware updates. Magnetic attraction pulls the earbuds into their sockets which is great for preventing the earbuds from falling out of the case - even if held upside down. The case is Qi-certified for use with the Jabra wireless charging pad, which will take 2.5 hours to fully charge the earbuds and case.
The Jabra Sound+ App
The app is very detailed and has options for control all aspects of the earbuds. Here are some of the aspects of the earbuds which can be controlled and configured:
• Viewing of battery levels of the case and the earbuds.
• Naming the earbuds.
• Adjusting the ANC levels.
• Adjusting the HearThrough.
• Music equalizer settings.
• Selection of Music presets.
• Soundscape settings.
• Positioning of the control widgets in the app.
• Firmware updates.
• Sidetone adjustment, for hearing your own voice on a call.
• Call equalizer settings.
• Sleep mode settings.
• Selection of the voice assistant language.
• Selection of iOS Siri or Amazon Alexa as the voice assistant.
• Registration.
• Find My Jabra earbuds.
• User guides, manuals and FAQ.
• Contacting Jabra Support.
• Technical specs along with serial numbers.
• Access the Jabra online store.
• Privacy policy and Legal disclaimer.
Music, Calls, and Sound
It is important to note that the Jabra earbuds are specifically designed for handling phone calls and using voice commands. The sound is excellent for phone calls. My contacts tell me how impressed they are with the quality and they couldn't tell that I was using a Bluetooth headset. The music is clear and crisp. The Bass response is amazing for the size. The Sound+ App provides a nice equalizer and some default settings for music playback. When a music preset is selected, the equalizer will match the selection. I also enjoy the Soundscape generator with a wide range of effects for helping me to focus when working and studying. Rainy day is my personal favorite.
Pros
• MultiSensor Voice mics and bone conduction sensor keeps calls and music clear even when in windy conditions.
• 20Hz to 20kHz music response.
• 80Hz to 8kHz calls response.
• Adjustable HearThrough settings for allowing external sounds to come through the earbuds.
• Active Noise Cancelling with multiple levels.
• Sidetone setting for allowing you to hear your own voice better when on a call.
• Removing an earbud will automatically pause music.
• One earbud can be used at a time and will switch to mono for music.
• The earbuds can be paired with 8 different devices, but only one active at a time.
• Voice Assistant can be Siri or Alexa.
• Multiple languages are available for voice guidance.
• Solid and quality feel of the earbuds and the charging case.
• Magnetic attraction of the earbuds to the case for snug storage and charging.
• A Soundscape generator for helping with focus during work and study, and masking of external noises.
• The Sound+ App is amazing and offers everything needed for the earbud settings.
• The case supports QI-wireless charging.
• Fast charging of the earbuds. 5 minutes = 1.2 hours of music playback.
• Adjustable sleep mode of 15 minutes up to never.
Cons
• Not sure how I feel about the USB connector on the front of the charging case. I think on the side would have been more convenient.
• I used to have the Jabra Elite 85t earbuds and could pair them with both my iPhone and iPad at the same time. However, the Elite 7 Pro can only pair with one device at a time.
Overall
I am very pleased with the Jabra Elite 7 Pro earbuds. They are perfect for anyone who does a lot of commuting and has to handle phone calls and voice control over their smartphone. The sound quality for voice and calls is excellent. The music playback quality is clear and crisp with good bass response. My primary focus for these earbuds will be for phone calls, listening to music, and online meetings while working.

Let's tart by mentioning that I used the Elite 65t and Elite 85t. I liked them both very much, and Elite 7 improves on them in every way.
While the Elite 65T made me really appreciate these earbuds, it lacked ANC and wireless charging. So when I got the Elite 85t, it did everything I wanted with great sound quality, but somehow it didn't fit as great as the older ones. They also stick too much for my ears.
A reason why these new earbuds are not called 95t or something similar, is because it's a departure from previous iterations:
Instead of adding more to what's already there, it's a redesign in many ways, and it's now doing more and better with less, so improve audio quality, improved noise cancelation and voice call quality within a much smaller package, and they fit a lot better than the previous model.
As for fit, they cradle within the ear: The stem is an angle slightly into the ear canal while the earbud rests within the earlobe without putting much pressure.
After using them for about a week, I can wear them all day.
Sound quality is great, with a very clean sound in the mids, decent bass that's not overwhelming and clear trebles.
Voice calls: GN Netcom / Jabra is world known for its headsets, so these are great for voice calls. As a distinguishing feature from the non-pro version, it has 'jawbone sensors' that are used to compensate background noise in noisy environments so the voice comes out clear without the external noises. I couldn't test this too well since I've been working from home. Hopefully will let me take more calls while on walks.
A new feature is that once can now use either earbud (in mono mode) to take voice calls. In previous models, the 'mono' mode only worked with the right earbud.
Another feature that's been great on Jabra earbuds is the sidetone. This is very configurable and allows certain amount of one's own voice to be heard through the earbuds.
Controls: Very intuitive. First of all, it has sensors so when one takes either earbud off, it can pause on the phone, and resume when back on.
There is a single physical button on each earbud (no fuzzy touch controls which I grew to detest in other earbuds). Click, double click or tiple click on right or left handle different controls. Holding left or right controls volume. Pressing both goes into pairing mode.
ANC and HearThrough: HearThrough is very good. These earbuds passively filter much of the background noise. I set HearThrough on most of the time so I can hear some of the ambient noise, and it does not distort music while playing. ANC is also very good and configurable.
Phone app: The App is required for initial setup, advanced settings, equalizer and to enable ANC. It's not required while using the earbuds, but it's useful while running on the background. It can also optionally (disabled by default) track where one last used the earbuds (It does not have constant tracking however). I've seen the app change over the years since my fist Jabra earbuds and it's now very polished and simple to use. The firmware on the earbuds gets updates occasionally, and that's done via the app. It also details battery level on each earbud and the case.
The first time using the app with a new earbud, it runs through a setup process that measures the audible range of each ear and ANC settings.
The case is relatively small, fits in the side pocket on jeans even. It can be charged via a wireless Qi charger or via USB-C. Outside is an eggshell finish that doesn't smudge too much. The inside has a rubberized coating that's also easy to wipe clean, since the molded cradles are better exposed than in previous designs. The clamshell is held by a magnet, and has a hidden light on the front by the charging port that changes color depending on the charge level (Green/yellow/red) and also purple during firmware updates.
Battery: I've been using them the whole week without recharging it. The battery on each earbud is rated to an astounding 8 hours, with 30 hours total with the case. They seem to charge fast also.
Connectivity: These support the latest and greatest Bluetooth 5.2 (5.2 improves battery and connectivity vs BT 5.0). Codecs: SBC and AAC. With current firmware, it connects to one device at a time. I'm mentioning this because previous models are able to connect to the phone and laptop simultaneously.
Durability: These are brand new but my previous earbuds took abuse daily and still look like new, so I expect the same from these.
Overall these are excellent, my new favorites, covers about everything I could want from earbuds.

I love earbuds and after reviewing the Jabra Elite 65T back in early 2018, no other earbuds have yet come close to how much I like those.
Now, in 2021 Jabra released a new set of earbuds but the Elite 7 Pro has bone conduction for speaking clarity, so I was excited to see how they do for call quality.
TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below.
Pros:
Fantastic Sound / Music
ANC / Hear through
Volume controls
Fit & comfort
Case - true clamshell with magnetic hold
USB-C Charging Case
Wireless Charging Case
Easy firmware updates
App sound control
Cons:
Microphone is very low when using it on calls
Meh:
Constant Notification (1) on the App making it seems like there's something to see, but there isn't
Mono earbud process
The deets:
Jabra’s Elite 65T is the standard for all earbuds that I review and thank God, the quality that I expected for the Elite 7 pro was there!
A wireless and USB-C charging case allowed the earbuds to be ready to use right out of the gate and the case itself was around50% charged so it didn’t need much time to be full itself. I tried both QI and USB-C charging - each worked as expected; I do like wireless charging and am glad they included this feature. Included were additional ear caps sizes, but I didn’t need them, so they stayed in the box. These earbuds stay in without issue, even when I purposefully swing my head around to loosen them; fantastic!
A magnetic case & magnet earbuds were different from the 65T and I dig the ease of opening the clamshell and earbud removal. After pairing with my phone’s native Bluetooth, the earbuds showed right up and were ready to be customized in the Sound+ App.
The Sound+ App has a great variety of customizations and a nose generator as well, called Soundscape. In messing around and trying the different offerings, I listened to the “Crowd” one and found myself just leaving it on for a bit when outside. Definitely a cool way to zone out. Enabling the Hear-Through mode is great for walks and to keep outside noise ‘in play’ when out and about - I can’t ever get 100% behind earbuds that don’t have this feature and I’m glad they kept it.
A firmware update was ready for these earbuds pretty much right away and the process was the same; download the update and put the earbuds in the case. A purple light flashes during the process so you know it’s working; I’ve never had an update go bad, so that’s another + in the column for Jabra.
From the brass highs of Lucretia Mac Evil, drums and guitar of Midlife Crisis and reggae bass of Wicked & Riled, these earbuds delivered. I think I can officially make my 65Ts my ‘car earbuds’ for when I have to run errands, if I forget these at home. Also, even without little dedicated volume buttons within the buttons, holding down the left or right button raises / lowers the volume so you don’t have to get out your phone.
Activating mono earbud mode (using just one earbud) requires the remaining earbud to be put in the case & music restarted, however reverting back to two earbuds doesn’t.
One of the things toted for this new model is the “Call Quality” as they’ve introduced some type of bone conduction. I tried it a few times and was told that I needed to speak up and then, I decided to make a number of voicemails to myself. Sure enough, my volume was super low. I went into Sound+ and saw a few more features were available but none of them increased my volume to the other side. This is too bad, I hear so many people audibly great on Apple’s AirPods, but it seems to be a hard thing to do for everyone else.
Would I recommend these? Absolutely - all of the Pros outweigh the Cons & Meh points.
