I purchased these to use for my job. I needed a comfortable headset that allowed me to wear while on the phone to keep my hands free for typing. They are indeed very comfortable. I find myself wearing them even after I am done on the phone. The sound is awesome too if you are looking for a headset for music too.

I ordered these with high hopes, but for my application (home office soft phone) it was a bit much. For functionality and sound quality, it was good.

These Jabra Evolve 65 Bluetooth Headphones are great for those that make a ton of calls. They are light weight and have great audio quality. They are super easy to use and have not only a charge cable that can be used to directly connect to any pc with a usb port, but also have a case and a Usb to Bluetooth dongle, so you can use them with any pc. Battery is specified to last 10 hours, I got almost 9 hours. I love how the microphone stores magnetically to the frame. I love how the pods swivel for easy storage. If your looking for some great on the ear headphones to listen to music or make calls these could be the ones you're looking for.

    Good sound, poor extra features

To get it out of the way early: the sound is good. We put up our headphones next to our usual standbys at home and the output is decidedly clearer with better separation between the high and low tones. Midtones are crisp, which is good because Jabra advertised the Evolve 65 as being useful for phone and Skype calls. Using it on a regular call over Bluetooth (we avoided testing with VoIP apps because they almost uniformly sound better than a typical call), the quality was very clear, both for the headset user and on the other end. Range is also excellent - I was able to leave my phone on the kitchen table and walk across the entire house and the person on the other end could still hear me fine. I appreciate that the headphones come with a USB cable that doubles for audio output with a computer, and that they shine a "busy light" when you're on a call. Overall, these two features position the headphones as business oriented, so that just makes the decidedly un-businesslike random orange stripes on the headphones baffle me more. If these are professional headphones, why does the busy light glow a sinister red, and the Bluetooth light alternate red before turning vivid blue? Combined with the orange stripe, these form a mishmash of colors that don't fit any professional palette, definitely not one I would expect to see used in an office. And that leads to the main thing that bothers me about these headphones. Obviously for true audiophiles, sound quality is everything. But the Jabra Evolve 65 falls into this weird midtier price and quality range where the headphones trade as much on their extra features as their audio, and the features as they arrive are really disappointing. The design of the headphones feels cheap. Orange stripe notwithstanding, the plastic construction is hollow and thin. The boom mic is advertised to have a magnetic slot to discreetly stow it along the headband, but this quickly loses its seamless appearance the second you elongate the headphones for fit, and worse, it doesn't actually stick at all! The moment you put the headphones on it instantly pops out of its slot and refuses to be put back in, making you look ridiculous - unless you were wearing it in the privacy of your office cubicle and nowhere else. The ear cushions are too small to actually cover anyone's ears, and this instantly tells you their claim of "passive noise cancellation" is really no cancellation. I was listening to John Legend's latest single and could easily hear my wife smugly remark "You look like you have an antenna sticking out of your head" from across the kitchen. The 10 hour battery life is on the low end of dedicated over-ear headphones available, which usually run about 20-40 hours. Finally, the active button on the side of the Jabra headphones are labeled "NFC" despite having no NFC functionality whatsoever, and I still am at a loss as to why this would be the case. I hope this review adequately explains why I struggle so much to recommend this product. No doubt these headphones sound good, but it's important to recognize that for $170 you expect a measure of good design with good sound, or excellent sound with poor design, and the Jabra Evolve 65 satisfies neither of these. I get that my criticisms might sound like nitpicks, but these are nitpicks advertised as features you would pay for but not actually be able to enjoy - which begs the question, why not look at a cheaper set that doesn't offer these but sounds equally good? The short battery life seals the deal as making this a pair of headphones I could only wear to get through the workday, charge when I clock out and not use again until I return to work. Don't get me wrong - my wife and I both own Jabra products, and we like them a lot. But for the money, it's hard to see the value in this one.

Hello MizuNoHane - We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with the audio quality and range of the Jabra Evolve 65. Sound is our expertise, so we are glad to hear it offers the sound levels you expect from a headset. We would also like to address a couple other concerns you have:
The Evolve 65 does support NFC, so as long as your phone supports this as well, you should be able to take advantage of it. If you are having trouble with this, please reach out to our technical support team so they can assist you: https://www.jabra.com/ServiceMenu/contact/ContactJabraSupport/ContactJabraSupportBusiness
Regarding the magnetization of the boom mic, you should be able to 'tuck in' the boom even when the headband is fully expanded. Please make sure the boom lines up properly with the magnetized area for it to stay securely.
Lastly, we appreciate your feedback regarding the style and design of the Evolve 65, and we will surely pass on your comments. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can help. Thank you for your very detailed review! Jabra

I do a lot of usability testing for work which requires to have a headset or microphone with a crisp quality of sound. This headset went above and beyond my expectations. Not only is it wireless and connected via Bluetooth, the setup is super easy and the headset has a high-quality fabric case that holds the dongle and the headset. The controls are all able to be adjusted via the headset itself and it requires no software or downloads of any kind! It completely plugs and plays which I find to be very hard to come by these days. Lastly, and most importantly, my clients and customers have even mentioned how crisp and high quality my voice is. I have had no issues with background noise as it is noise canceling. This is a definite buy if you are in need of a headset and want the personalization, quality and comfort that this provides.

These are great looking headsets, with nice options and good fit and finish. However, they are not at all comfortable on the head. If you plan to use these for work or long hours, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Over-ear headsets are your better option.

If you are limited to having a Bluetooth headset I suppose it would be ok. But it's almost as limiting as a corded headset. When I walk into the next room the signal fades quickly and both send and receive signals. Sound is clear when I'm in range but I guess I move around more than what Bluetooth technology can accommodate.

This headset is light weight and easy to install. I did experience some connection drop issues using the 370 Bluetooth USB dongle. The issue was resolved by using the USB ports on my laptop instead of the USB port on my docking station. Works perfectly after making that quick change.

    Not Best Choice for Music

My son was looking to try a set of on-ear headphones. Mom always calls up and he can't hear her with any of the over ear varities. While that problem has mostly been solved (he just ignores her now), the sound quality just isn't as good for listening to music. They suffice fine for those lengthy Fortnite sessions as they're lighter, and good enough quality for voice calls, just not the right solution if you're looking for something primarily for music listening.

    Top office headset

I've been using a very good USB headset at the office as well as my own BT phones for listening from my phone, and then I had the opportunity of using the Jabra Evolve 65. This is one of the most versatile headsets for using with softphones as well as cell phones. The headset is light and comfortable to wear all day. Battery lasts all day. The design doesn't completely block ambient noise when there is no audio playing so I can hear is someone is coming by. The primary distinguishing feature for me is that it can simultaneously connect to a computer (Windows 7 to 10 or macOS) as well as a mobile phone, wirelessly. Keep in mind that it doesn't mix the audio from both the phone and the computer. It connects to both simultaneously but the sound is from whichever device is active last, not both simultaneously. After installing the optional 'Jabra Direct' software on Windows, connected the headset with the USB cable and it provided the option to upgrade the firmware on the headset. After it was all set, the software recognizes the softphone installed, (Cisco Jabber in this case), but it also supports Skype for Business and several web conferencing solutions. This is optional but provides controls from the headset like volume, hangup, call transfer, mute, etc. On MacOS, which I use elsewhere, the software is 'Jabra Suite' that works similar as in Windows, it installs a preference pane, a menu item icon and a firmware updater app. It also detects installed softphone software like Bria and Skype, also supports IBM SameTime, Avaya one-X and Equinox. The headset can connect via USB directly, keeping it charged and will also recognize it as an USB Audio device (No wireless required), or it can be connected with the Jabra 370 wireless USB adapter, that is Bluetooth but only for the headset, and the PC recognizes it as another USB audio device. At the same time it can be paired via Bluetooth with a mobile phone, Apple iOS in my case, and there is no app to install for these. The center button on one of the headsets can control calls on the mobile phone, and it also has volume controls, but it doesn't have music controls (prev/next). The headset can be worn with the mic on either right or left side and will recognize how it's worn. It will also go on mic mute if the mic is placed on the center of the headset, which also has a light magnet to keep it in place. Another nice feature is that one of the headsets will light up with a red circle if on a call, so co-workers know when not to interrupt. The light can also be turned on or off manually holding both volume controls. Audio for calls is excellent, and mic works well, as expected from business headsets. For music, audio is rich and clear, but without much bass. It doesn't provide the rich sound of enclosed headsets but then again this is not an enclosed headset. After a while got used to the different tone, and music sounds very nice. I can now keep the same headset for phone calls from PC or mobile, PC videos and music from the phone, without cables. The headset also comes with a pouch which also keeps the USB cable and a holder for the USB adapter.

Works great with SKYPE, WebEx. GoToMeeting, etc. Easy to use controls built in the ear piece. Only thing is doesn't get loud enough for music listening. But then again they are more a business headset. Recommended.

I have two pairs of these headphones for work and home. They really do have multi uses. I like the Bluetooth feature so that I can pair with a computer and use it for skype and phone calls or to listen to music or watching movies without the wired connection. I can toggle between taking a phone call and listening to music without switching headsets. I like that they can be paired with multiple devices as I have it paired with my computer, smartphone and my tablet. The sound is crisp and clear.

    Fantastic Headset for the Office

I'm a picky person when it comes to headsets and audio. I've been trying to use a gaming headset at work, however I need to have the microphone on the right side, which my gaming headset can't support. Enter the Jabra Evolve 65, where the mic can rotate to be on either side! I've used this headset for over two weeks now and have only good things to say. From Skype for Business, to WebEx and Google Play Music, this headset does exactly what I need it to do. The form factor of "on the ear" isn't my cup of tea as I'd rather an "over the ear" configuration, however that doesn't detract from how good this headset it. A red light will show up when engaged on a call, whether or not YOUR coworkers will see that and leave you be, only you'll know -- however my coworkers ignore it every time. If they end up seeing the light and leaving you alone . you can also manually trigger the busy light, which could give you some serious concentration time. Quick volume adjustment and the ability to mute from the headset are a must and this headset has those features. I also started using this headset for streaming tunes and the audio is pretty good. I feel you lose music 'feel' with on-the-ear headphones, but the sound is good (given the intended purpose for these headphones). Not much for bass, but it'sn't tinny at all - so, I'm somewhat impressed. If you're looking for a solid headset for calls in the office, all while able to comfortably listen to music, get this one.
