Dear Customer,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with the solar panel charging.
We understand your frustration, especially when you're expecting a quicker charge time. Several factors can influence solar panel performance, such as weather conditions, panel positioning, or even the angle of the sun. We recommend ensuring the panel is positioned at an optimal angle for maximum sunlight exposure. If you're still encountering issues, we'd be happy to help troubleshoot further.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected] or contact us at +1-888-502-2236 (Weekdays 9AM–5PM PST). We want to ensure you're getting the best performance out of your device and will do everything we can to assist you.

I can be sure that my camping trips are now fully equipped by adding to my gear this solar generator.
Three basic elements:
1.- It’s portable (compact size) and with solar panels that can be folded for travel. In the back of your car with a total volume (inclusive of panels): of 10 in x 9 in x 13 in.
2.- It’s light, under 11 pounds, 14 including pannels and wires. I agree that this is not okay for backpacking camping but light enough for a weekend trip with your car. I also used it for a short trip to fly my drone and to charge batteries while I was flying.
3.- It’s solar. This means that no noise during functioning: charge or usage and powered by the sun (free power!).
As a first-time user, I downloaded the Jackery app and created my account. With the same process, I registered my product which serves to extend the guarantee period. This is obviously a first-time connection to your wireless network that will configure the connection between your generator and your phone. After that, in the camping spot, the connection is via Bluetooth. The app is free in the Play Store and quite fast to download. Not impressive for added functionality, similar basic info (% of remaining power, input power received, and output power) can be found in the generator screen but is more comfortable to have it on your hand. Despite also being a source of publicity from the manufacturer (also called: “information about other products”), I recommend downloading it because of its simple display of information.
With 300 w power, I obtained what I intended, I was charging my phone and tablet once a day, and I was powering the air mattresses and some small camping LED lights during the night. From a power perspective, after receiving the generator it was charged in the box at 40% and I tested that with a 35w LED light that stayed on for the entire night (7 hrs). Once empty, for the first trip I fully charged the unit at home from the wall AC outlet and it took me a couple of hours (2hrs 3 min) from 0 to 100%. Once in the camping, I did not have much sun during the weekend, only a few hours and with some clouds so the 40w solar panels only recharged the generator in around 15%. With all in and out, I returned after two days with more than 50% battery on it.
I understand with some additional tests at home, that charging it with the panels requires some attention to the details. The exact position and exposure to the sun have a big impact on your recharging time. I observed that the recharging speed can be different if you are looking for the perfect exposure to the sun, and that means full exposure of all panels and angle of inclination (in my experience is better for some incline that flat on the floor).
One small complaint. If you read the instructions (yes, I did it), this is defined by the manufacturer as an “indoor use only” (manual pg 11). I think that this means that you should keep it inside the tent and for that reason they could consider that is ok to have all electrical outlets exposed. I think that inside a tent, still counts as being a piece of outdoor equipment and I would appreciate having electrical ports protected. I imagine that is decided in the benefit of weight but I hope that is not affecting the years of service. I appreciate however that the 3-year standard warranty can be extended to 5 (2 more) after registering your product, this should be an indicator that the manufacturer trusts its product.
Final note, this is a 300w generator, which means that the number of devices and the power that you will be able to obtain, in the best case scenario and fully charge, is exactly that. The power, the size of the generator, and the solar panels are designed for exactly that specification. For other types of usage or a different type of camping, going to glamping, perhaps you could consider other bigger models. As they say, each tool has its purpose.

Charged this battery fully. It’s 3am and the power is out. Went to plug in the aquarium and the battery is dead. This means I have to keep these plugged in at all times if i want to use them. These are expensive and its crazy to me these dont hold a charge.

Dear customer, we're sorry to hear about your experience. One possible reason the battery didn’t provide power to your aquarium is that some low-power devices may not be recognized by the power station. If the power consumption of your aquarium equipment (such as water pumps or heaters) is too low, the unit might not detect it and therefore may not output power. To troubleshoot, we recommend trying to connect an additional device with slightly higher power consumption (such as a small lamp above 10W) along with your aquarium equipment to see if the power station starts supplying power. If the issue persists, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible so we can assist you in resolving it. We truly appreciate your feedback and are here to help (Customer Service: [email protected] / +1-888-502-2236 Weekdays 9AM to 5PM PST). Warm regards, Jackery Support Team

So, I haven't had a chance to take this handy little unit out into the field yet, but I can tell from playing around in the back yard that it is going to be a great addition to the not-so-rugged camping setup as well as my tailgating setup for football season. The package comes with the generator itself, the solar panel, a wall plug for standard charging, and the cable you need to hook up the solar panel. As expected, charging from the wall is significantly faster than charging solar, but when the wall is no option, the solar will provide some decent power. It will definitely soak up enough power to keep the generator battery full while charging a phone. The unit itself has on/off switches for each connection method as well as a screen to show how much time it has left based on the power you are using. I tested it out with a TV and a Fire stick and my phone's hotspot for tailgating and it said it would last for just over 3 hours. I didn't run it down the entire time, but with solar helping supplement the power this should be more than enough to run a TV for a tailgate and watch your rival's game before your team plays. If you're going camping and want to keep your bluetooth speaker and phone charged up, this will last you several days for sure even without the solar panel. Great as a backup generator for bad weather if you need to run a few reptile enclosure heating units as well (I have a few snakes and other critters that need heat!)

This is a fantastic little portable power station. It's light, efficient, and offers several methods for charging the unit. The screen is bright, intuitive, and very easy to read.
This unit originally arrived at a bad time, as we were having overcast days. It meant trying to charge it with the solar panel would be mostly futile. The solar panel seems well made, although I do have some concerns over the material. I mean, they need to make it thin, which seems to carry a slightly different composition, or possibly materials, from any other solar panel I've held or had the chance to examine. By comparison, this panel has a rough material coating the solar cells. Like beads of glass, likely a plastic-based component, that form a texture similar to rough gravel. It's far from the typical smooth glass-encapsulated panels I've seen on ordinary garden trinkets, such as solar lights or residential rooftops. By contrast, those same trinkets seem to charge on the cloudiest days. This device, on the other hand, charges, if you can call it that, between 0W and 1W according to the display on the station. In what I would consider good sunlight, I did manage to get a charge of about 20W according to the display. I don't really know if the ratings on paper factor in resitances, environmental, and other factors.
There's a companion app you can use with the station. It allows for remote control of the inputs, granular tuning of the display timeout, and a standby shutdown timer. While I do enjoy the app, I do feel that the WiFi functionality is somewhat redundant to my needs. The first is that I can control the inputs from my phone while sitting in the back yard, with the station being in the front yard. I normally wouldn't have that option using Bluetooth; I just don't see the benefits to it. The initial connection seems to require a connection to a remote server. Then afterwards, you can remotely control it from within your LAN network. This works for a camper who carries a networking device on their adventures for interconnecting devices. The second, adding networking functionality, creates a new attack vector for your network. In an offline network, this situation is mitigated, but with an always connected network, this could be a different story. I will say that I don't know how quickly Jackery resolves security vulnerabilities in either their app, firmware, or services.
I like that you can go up to as much as the Solar Saga 100W if you need a higher input. But for solar charging, they include a DC to USB C adaptor. The embedded flash light has an ON and SOS mode. In on-state, this is extremely overkill for me. I can't see myself walking around with this spotlight to shine deep into a dark path. For context, this has a roughly 25' range. It makes me believe a flood lamp would have been much more useful for everyday use. In SOS mode, I can see why you would want something with range. A candle may not be bright enough to be seen by people who may be able to help you.
Overall, I really love this thing. It's lightweight, versitile, and very useful. Despite my few personal issues with it—solar, solar adaptor, remote app control, and flash light—I don't believe you can go wrong with it. Especially if you just want to keep phones and laptops charged while on a trip. The solar panel makes it usable while camping or on your adventures.
This is worth 5-stars.

Great when power goes out

This is a great addition to a home if you lose power, or even if you just go out to the park, beach etc. all day. It has 2 USB-C, 1 USB-A and an outlet plug. Plus, it does have a light and a car plug. It is not all that big in size, but it packs a huge punch for what it can charge and do.
My reason for 4 stars though. First is that the solar panel does not have any kind of support for it to allow you to angel it. There is no carry bag/case. It would have been nice to see this come with a case that it all stores in. They did give you a case to put the charging cords in. But would have been nice to store everything together.
The solar panel cord plugs into one of the USB-C ports so if you charge it with that, you lose a port that you can use. The cord has a round plug and then an adaptor that goes into the USB-C port. Not sure why they could not just make a spot that would use the round plug to charge.
I would have also like to have seen this automatically pick up when you plug something in to charge. I would like to not have to turn it on and then you also have to turn on the outlets as well. So, if you are going to use the plug, you have to turn the unit on, and then turn on the plug. Granted you can turn on both sides. But for me, it would have been nice to maybe just turn on the unit, and then it autodetect if I plug something into the USB-C, or plug or whatever spot etc.
Overall, though, I love the color, at least the orange.
It charges but if you plug directly into the USB ports, it does not fast charge.

Reliable Power On-the-Go

It charges from 5% or lower to full in just 2 hours using wall power, which is impressive. The solar charging is slower, as expected, but still effective. Overall, it's a handy and reliable device. My first unit from the store was faulty, but after exchanging it, the new one has worked flawlessly. It's performing exactly as advertised, and the companion app is great for monitoring solar input. Though I live in a sunny area, I find myself using wall charging more due to convenience. However, if I were outdoors for longer stretches, the solar panels would certainly get the job done.
