    Convenient Kettlebell that's super cool

I have been using the Kettlebell for over a week now and really enjoy using it. It has actually made me work out even more. Let me explain how: So right out of the box you can plug in the dock, place all of the weights on the dock, then dock the Kettlebell. It only takes a few hours to fully charge, but while it's charging you can go ahead and turn on to setup. You download the app and find the unit. It will connect and then you are ready to go. As far as app setup goes this unit connected better/easier than almost all other smart devices I currently own. It found the bell with no issues and synced with no issues. The app is very user friendly and it even lets you sync your Fitbit device for a full fitness integration. You can sync your Fitbit wearable and smart scale to monitor pretty much everything. It takes a little while to sync when you open the app but it does work well. The bell itself is sturdy and feels very nice and high quality. You dock the bell and hit an up or down button to raise and lower the weight amount. Then it automatically adjusts the weight and beeps when done. It is very easy and I love using different weight settings, I start off low and finish heavy. It is very easy to use and very convenient. Overall I enjoy using this and I actually grab it now more than any other weight or workout hand tool. I highly recommend if you want to add some tech and fun to your workout.

Overall, I really like this thing! It solves problems, works well, has great tracking and looks cool! Unboxing: I kinda felt sorry for the mailman having to deliver essentially a set of weights. The unboxing belt the kettle bell housing, the base, a micro USB cable with plug, and a series of five weights. There is a small instruction manual as well. Use that to put it together to ensure you put the weights in the right order. After putting it together and plugging it in, it charges right away. Download the app to get full use out of it. App: The app might not be the best looking app out there but it is functional and works well with this device. It also ties into Fitbit and to Apple health but only one at a time, you can not do both. Use the app to pair your phone to the kettle bell. You can have up to nine users and you have to ensure the correct person is selected before you use it. It is not 100% clear if you don’t read the info but essentially, P1 is person 1, P2 is person 2, etc. Use: It works great! Select a weight starting at 12 lbs to 42 lbs in six lb increments. It takes about 3-4 seconds to set it up and the number will become steady on the display, then work out! The battery never fully drained in my use so it should last through most workouts. After checking my app, it all reflected number of reps and sets. This was somewhat inaccurate and I think form will affect this a lot. The sets count if you put it back in its dock to switch weight or if you put it on the floor to rest. I wouldn’t rely on it for 100% accurate workout tracking but it gets you in the ballpark if that’s good enough for you. App integration: I was a little disappointed that Fitbit integration is lacking as a Fitbit user myself. The device will pull all your data from Fitbit including steps for overall health tracking. It does not appear to write to Fitbit though so your workouts never make it to the Fitbit app. After checking Fitbit’s website, I never say mention of the JaxJox being supported so I don’t think there is any easy way to feed the info into Fitbit. As a result I switch the “activity tracker” over to Apple health. I really didn’t need to put steps into the JaxJox app bu tit appears to sync over to Apple health as the write permission are there. If you are an Apple watch user, this kettle bell might be better integrated for you that Fitbit. Quality: I am not 100% sure of the build materials as the website didn’t have much mention of it. It felt like a lower density metal or high quality plastic to me though. I don’t have any complaints about the quality though as it feels premium and durable. The base feels like it can take some abuse. The weights jiggle a little bit when they are inside the kettle bell but I never once felt any issues with it not being fully secure inside the device and was never worried about a weight falling out. There were also never any errors in selecting the weights as it caught the correct value each time. Summary: Great job to Jaxjox for a well built and very useful device. This is great if you have limited space and would like a single device to help with workouts. I would love some better Fitbit integration but I take away no stars for that.

I mainly wanted a kettlebell in order to rehab my shotty shoulders. I have messed up rotator cuffs from when I used to do boxing and TKD (tore up knees too). A friend, who's an ex-pro power lifter, suggested I use a kettlebell. I didn't want to take up extra space since I already have dumbbells, barbells, etc so this seems the perfect device to fulfill my need for a kettlebell and not cramp up my workout area too much. The base weight is 12 lbs so this might be a bit much for some rotator cuff work - light weight high reps for that weak spot - but for others it's perfect. I can increase the weight in 6lb increments up to 42 lbs (but that's gonna be long ways out right now, lol). My regular work out is a power lifting program and I used Wednesdays as my rotator cuff day. I pulled out my iPad Pro, downloaded the Jaxjox app and proceeded to pair...failed. Toggled location & BT on and off...failed. Reboot, try again...failed. I spend my entire 1hr workout time fiddling with an app that wouldn't connect. I then grabbed my android phone and tested. Passed. Only problem is that currently the android version is a buggy mess on my S10+. Too many lock ups and crashed twice. From what I saw on the app, it only lets you set goals for total reps, not reps per set of a specific exercise. It's mostly useless in my opinion. There are dedicated fitness apps that work far better anyways. Now I don't need a fancy app to actually work out; gravity doesn't care about technology. The Jaxjox Kettlebell is fine as a "dumb" device and IMO better suited as a dumb device until they smarten up the app to allow it to be used as a real workout tracker instead of just a total movement tracker. I love the fact that I can use the space of a single kettlebell to house 6 different kettlebells. One thing you need to keep an eye on is the battery level. All the weight swapping is done via a battery powered motor in the base.

Who needs a smart kettlebell? Everyone. I do not claim to be a gym rat but I do have a home gym to keep in shape. I have been in the market for a kettlebell for some time and after some research and me being a tech geek, the jaxjox kettlebell was the perfect fit. First off, the box is heavy which should be no surprise so I recommend lifting with caution. This can not be any easier to use. Simply hit the left or right button to select your desired weight and wait for the display to confirm the kettlebell is set to the desired weight. I must admit, I wasn't familiar with too many kettlebell exercises but this is where the beauty of the app comes in. The app provides a number of videos from 10 minute core and leg workout to a 45 minute full body workout. Kettlebell workout are much different then dumbbell workouts but after a few workouts I feel very comfy using this. In fact I am using this almost exclusively at this point and feel as if my workouts have been much more productive. Overall this is currently the best piece of equipment in my home gym and I think may be the same for anyone else who is in the market for a kettlebell.

This smart kettlebell is unlike anytime else on the market. Possibly it’s best feature is that you do not need a bunch of different waited kettlebells since it has 6 in one. I was extremely impressed by how fast it could change weight. Although I have not had any issues with it I still have not completely become comfortable with knowing a wight will not fall out. But there is no reason to believe one would. I love how simple the entire set up is. There is only two buttons and a small screen on the base which shows how much weight is selected. One button increases weight and the other decreases. Possibly what sweetens the deal of this kettlebell is it’s companion app. It has many different workouts included in the app. But it can also connect to other smart devices to measure trends in your fitness level and progression. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is serious about fitness and prefers to do some at home workouts.

    A Kettlebell of Another Kind

Earlier this year, my husband bought me a treadmill, so that I might resume my workout regime at home, rather than continuing to pay for a gym membership. When I saw this kettlebell, I was immediately interested, as I’d wanted to supplement my exercise routine with weights, for even more results. Although I have used traditional kettlebells in the past, this JAXJOX KettlebellConnect adjustable smart kettlebell, was a whole ‘nother animal. I must admit, simply the look of it was intimidating, even though it wasn’t that much different than what I was already familiar with. So, to begin, you will need to download the JAXJOX App. Pairing the kettlebell with my mobile phone through bluetooth, proved to be a bit tricky at first, but I got it worked out after a couple of tries. From there, the rest of the setup was simple enough. After inputting all your personal stats, and setting your fitness goals, I’d recommend taking a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the rest of the features in the app, and of course, with the kettlebell itself. I really like that you can set it up for the device to be used with multiple users, each person having their own profile, with their progress and activity data kept track of in the app itself. There are digital controls on the base unit which the kettlebell rests in, that are explained in the User’s Guide. They are pretty straightforward, though. Thankfully that instruction booklet is included with the device. All too often, I’ve been frustrated by the lack of any type of printed information being included with other electronics I’ve acquired, as of late. Apps are fine. But sometimes it’s better, at least for me, to just be able to read about the device and it’s features beforehand. The handle is made of a matte-like textured metal, which gives me confidence that even with sweaty hands, I won’t lose my grip. It’s just the right size for me to be able to grip it with both hands, but I question whether people with larger hands, will be able to comfortably hold the kettlebell by the handle with two hands. In the app, you will find a library of workout videos, which is helpful to have available to accompany the kettlebell. However, I really wish they had been arranged, or rather, categorized into different levels, such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. That would have been much more helpful, to me. Using the JAXJOX kettlebell was actually quite fun. I liked trying out some new types of exercises to go along with it, following the instructor’s guidance and directions, while adjusting the program myself, in order to fit my current fitness and skill level. The cost may seem a tad bit pricey, but not any more expensive than a set of traditional weights available from the same company as was my treadmill. You are paying for a piece of exercise technology, with digital controls, and it is a well-made device. I’ve little doubt this JAXJOX KettlebellConnect adjustable smart kettlebell, will provide the user with many years of reliable performance.

Smart Kettlebell that'll get you motiviated

My initial impressions of the Jaxjox KettlebellConnect Smart Kettlebell is that i like the design and functionality of the kettlebell itself. The overall look and aesthetics are nice and space saving. Taking it out of the nicely packed box there is the weights, kettlebell shell, instructions and a wall plug. At first glance the kettlebell shell looks a bit plasticky, but this is not your traditional kettlebell so I understand the choice of design materials. To get started you have to stack up the the five weight plates that are included. Each one is 6lbs. Plug in the the Kettlebell Connect and let it charge. Download the app and get it paired with your smartphone. Here is where I ran into my first issue, I really dislike when I get a new device and it has a hard time pairing. I fiddled with this for about 20 minutes before I could get it to pair. Looked at my bluetooth settings and I could not find anything to connect to, then I saw something labled KB-12345 after I connected to that then the app recognized my device. I was looking for something maybe called Jaxjox, lol but I guess KB stands for kettlebell. With that out of the way I proceed to try my first workout, they have a ton of videos from the app that you can use to workout which I though was a very nice addition. I did run into another issue after my first workout I did not see any data sync over to my app. I got a little frustrated because I'm probably like most people I want to see instant data from my workout. I just figured it was my first workout and it probably needs to gather more data or give it time to sync. I put the kettlebell down for 15 minutes checked the app and then I finally saw my progress. The next day I did another workout and again after I finished my workout I set it down then came back to check and my progress was saved, maybe not as fast as I would like but its there. The only other issue I have is the app itself I don't know how accurate it is at keeping track of my data like, reps, sets , time. I did a workout today and it said I did 238 reps and 22 sets, I know that is incorrect. There are also other goals you can manage like weight, does that mean how much weight you want to lose, how much weight you are lifting average, and it also has an average power rating, the app does not explain these things clearly. The graph in the app is also hard to read. I know these may sound like a lot of issues but its primarily the app I have issues with and these things can be fixed. The Kettlebell Connect is still a solid piece of equipment that I and the wife enjoy using, but the purpose of the price tag is it being smart and comes with a lot of features. So with that being said hopefully they can update the app to give users a more friendlier experience. I would still recommend it because it fits my needs as I don't like having tons of exercise equipment and I enjoy the latest tech. Lets just get that app fixed.

I've had a few wrist injuries and gave up using free weights. I use cable machines for the most part and thought I wouldn't go back. I've been looking at kettle bells for a few months and didn't know what weight to get. Buying a few different ones seemed like it would be hard to store and it would get pricey after a while. Then the JaxJox came along. I opened the box and set up was straightforward. I figured out the numbered weights and plugged it in to charge. I downloaded the app to my Google Pixel and tried to add the kettle bell. It took a few tries to get the app to see the unit, but then it did and added it to the menu. I spent about an hour trying to get it to sync. I did a few reps with the kettle bell, but I couldn't get the app to sync. I checked WiFi, Bluetooth, and my network, but everything looked great. It just wouldn't sync my results. I messaged JaxJox and first thing Monday morning I got a reply. A few messages back and forth and it was discovered that my Pixel has the newest version of Android that isn't available to other Android phones. This version allows apps to update location all the time, never or only when the app is running. I've chosen the latter on every app I have and that's what caused the unit to not sync. Once I fixed permissions, all the reps I did over the weekend testing the unit sync'd up and tada...results. I must say that the response of the manufacturer was great and hopefully now that they are aware of my issue, they may be able to update the app so I can change the setting back in the future. The kettle bell is pretty stout and heavy, but nice and compact. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of room. Using it is easy. The changing of weight (6 lbs at a time) can be a tad clunky, but hey, it's wireless and I don't have to do it. All I have to do is wait a bit. The buttons on the front of the unit seem pretty...well cheap. They don't have a great response and they look as if they are ready to fall off into the base, so I use them pretty gingerly. Fixing or upgrading the control buttons would be high on my list of suggestions for the unit. Overall though, once you get the app set up (should be easy for other Android users if they aren't using Google phones) and the unit sync's you should enjoy the product. The kettle bell allows up to 9 different users to track their stats with the app. The kettle bell can be set as low as 12lbs and up to 42lbs in 6lb increments. For someone that likes using a free weight but doesn't want a bunch of dumbells and/or kettle bells lying around, this unit would fit your need. I'd recommend it to anyone with that type of need. If you like kettle bells, I'd say check it out first. To me the handle seems quite big (round), which works for me, but seems larger than cast units I've seen in sporting goods stores. Maybe it's just me so that's why I say put your hands on a display before purchasing one.

The box is very heavy which is not a surprise for a item that is over 42lbs. This is a good looking piece of home gym equipment. It is a space saver as it can be set anywhere between 12-42 lbs. kind of like having 6 different kettlebells in one. The app is easy to use and provides free guided workout routines. it also tracks the workouts that you have done. This is great as you fine tune your fitness.

This was a gamble for me having never used or owned a kettle bell before. It comes with several different weights with which the bell can auto select with the nice lcd screen. It's very easy to use little tech knowledge needed here. The weights feel very secure once selected and in use. It comes with a short micro usb cable and wall adapter for charging. Theres also a handy app you can download that will try to keep track of your movement while using it but I didn't find it to be very accurate, your results might vary. I thought this was a nice starting piece of equipment for my home gym without going all out for a complete gym experience. Overall happy with this purchase and if this sounds like something you want to add you won't be disappointed with this one.

It has a variety of weights which give you a myriad of different exercises and workout routines. You don’t feel limited in what you can do. The weights range from 12-42lbs which can be adjusted at the base of the housing for the kettle bell. It is very well made very durable solid piece of equipment. Doesn’t feel cheap at all And what makes it all better is when used with the app you can see just how much you are progressing and even challenge yourself when your body gets accumulated to the routine you at currently on. It’s been a great addition to my workout. I am very impressed with this kettlebell.

I’ve been building my home gym for a little while now so that it’s more convenient for my CrossFit workouts. With the cost of kettlebells being a bit high this was the perfect addition. The extreme convenience of the JaxJox smart kettlebell that has variable weight adjustments from 12-42lbs (in 6lb increments) I couldn’t go wrong. After a week of of use the price was well worth it. I was able to quickly change weight to vary my workout and the compact size made it easy to store. I will be buying another one in the near future, so that I’ll have dual kettlebells. One of the best additions to my home gym.

This has to be the first time I can say I was excited about working out. This device is amazing. The construction is very solid and the data it collects is very helpful. It is like 6 kettlebells in one. The battery lasts several. So you can have many workouts on a single charge. The companion app could use some tweaking but not a deal-breaker. If you are a beginner or even a gym freak it works well for every fitness level in between. I love the simple press button add weight design. The app has great info about your workout and it guides you through workouts. get a jump on that new years resolution now

A Well Designed Device With Terrible App Support

This is being advertised as a "smart" kettlebell and as kettlebell "connect" - and while it is a very well designed multi-weight kettlebell electronic device, the application support that would make it smart or connectable fails completely. The device consists of a simple kettlebell-shaped shell with five weights that nestle inside - the shell and weights fit on a simple charged base with buttons and a display that allow you to select weights from 12 to 42 pounds (though not in 1 pound increments). Once you set your desired weight, the kettlebell shell attaches to enough of the nestled weights to form a kettlebell with the desired weight. The electronic kettlebell is attractive and compact and gives you economy of space. But the supporting application is a failure in every sense of the word. I was unable to install the application successfully on Android or on iOS (in fact, the failure was different on each operating system and my experiences were mirrored in the ratings for the applications). How can a "smart" device start out so stupidly? Everything about this device should be five-star - they really got things right with the physical and electrical design and production. The application failure (yes: outright failure) tarnishes an otherwise perfect product. So, ignoring the words "smart" or "connect" and just focusing on the electronically-adjustable-kettlebell part of the package, this is an amazing product. I just don't know how it is possible to go to market with an application that is wholly inoperable over two operating systems. But the kettlebell system is amazing. I recommend this enthusiastically with a crazy stern warning about the supporting application - what a ridiculous shame.

This Kettle Bell system is great. My only complaint is that I wish the screen could have an always-on mode so that I could always see what weight the kettle bell was set to. Other than that, this is an excellent, space-saving, workout solution. With a kettle bell, and a good workout regimen, a kettle bell and your body are all you need to stay in great shape!

I didn’t know a kettlebell could be cool and exciting until I got the JAXJOX Kettlebell Connect.
