    Better than beats

Usually on sale this item gives you a great sound quality for the price. The built is quite good and very stylish compared to the beats who look like walkie headphones. They are sweat proof and water proof. They only last about 8 hrs but that is plenty for an hour of workout at the gym, running or just casual use. Great built, great price (usually on sale, something beats never do) and great sound best of all. My only criticism would be the fact that they only last about 8 hrs I believe the beats last for 12. Other than that this headphones are great for anyone looking for wireless, customizable and great sound (with the app) and beautiful headphones.

Headphones easy to pair sound is good. Doesn't have a lot of bass to them. The app has a lot of preset to control the way they sound. If you want a lot of bass get Bose sound sport.

The sound quality is great only with the Jaybird app the preset setting w/o the app sucked big time for me the Jaybird app allowed me to customize everything to my liking. I do hate the battery pack it comes with w/o it you cannot charge the battery that's fixed on the wire that's the only downside so don't lose the battery pack, I leave it connected to the charger to prevent me from losing it, kinda of a waste for me since it would serve as a good backup in case i need a quick charge the risk of me dropping it in the gym and losing it is to high that would require for me to probably purchase a new set of buds.

Best wireless earbuds for the price

These headphones are fantastic quality. The sound is great overall, and the capability to customize the sound through the app works flawlessly. They are comfortable for workouts and daily use, but I recommend trying the “comply” tips. The rubber ones just don’t work well for me. Battery is good enough for my usage, but needs to be recharged every couple of days based on my usage of 2 hours a day.

    NOT RECOMMENDED FOR INTENSE EXERCISE

Pros: Very good sound quality for wireless earbuds. Great Fit inside Ear. These are a great choice for casual walking or any other non-intense activities. Cons: NOT recommended for intense exercise – if you sweat into the earbuds they will FAIL. I returned 2 pairs within 3 weeks due to failure thru exercising. Battery life is also a bit of misnomer, in order to have the high side of the battery life you have to attach the charging dock to the port, this adds even more “offset” weight to the right side. And if you lose the dock you can’t recharge the earbuds.

    Good Sound, Good Battery Life

The sound is decent out-of-the-box but it's best to experiment with the ear appliances. Once I found the best fit it improved the audio. The app also helps equalize for those who prefer more bass or treble. I prefer a "flat" sound that avoids artifacts from manipulation but I was pretty impressed with the flexibility. I wish the battery were more than four hours but the additional battery pack, while a little clunky, allows to listen while charging. Turns out it's overall more convenient even though it *feels* like a compromise.

    Incredible Bang for the Buck

I currently use wired Monster Gold Turbine ear buds which I love. Wanting to also have a wireless option, I decided that for the price I couldn’t go wrong with F5 Special Edition and picked up a pair ( for $49 they seemed like a good deal no matter what). Well for $49 this is an incredible steal. Out of the box I was not impressed with the sound and thought that for the price they were OK. Then I downloaded the app, which allowed me to customize the sound shape and they now sound as good as any pair I tested (including the Bose and 3x the price). For the special edition price you only get 3 pairs and of silicone ear tips (which fits most needs), otherwise the same product that lists for $149 (and I have a ton of tips from my Monster buds that are interchangeable). Battery life is good and can last a cross country flight (I did have to use the small battery pack about 2/3s across). I still use my Monsters for long use, but my new F5’s are my new go to. If you don’t mind the small effort to download the app and customize your sound (there are also customized that other users have shared that you can download.....I’ve put up about a half a dozen myself) you cannot go wrong with this purchase.

The Jaybird freedom F5 are great for someone looking for a secure fit in ear with multiple sizes for different size ears. The sound quality is good not the best i have heard but good. They are very lightweight you will forget they are there, battery life is also very good about 4 hours more then enough time between charging.

First, the good - sound quality was fine. 2 things make me give it 3 stars though. The snap on battery extender/recharger has to be used to get the 8 hours advertised. Second, the awkward weight pull of the controller & battery is really obvious & bothered me quite a bit. Bottom line: there are plenty of ~$25 BT earphones this season, which makes it hard for me to recommend this set.

    Satisfied So Far

I got these after Thanksgiving as part of the doorbuster deals, so I’m very happy with the price and performance so far. It’s very easy to set up with your phone. They’re lightweight enough so they don’t interfere with working out and the battery life seems very true to what they advertise (again, at least after a few uses anyway). My only minor comment is that the wings on the earpieces start to dig in to my ear cartilage a little bit after the one hour mark.

I got these on sale for $49.99 on Black Friday 2017. What a deal. These sound amazing, feel great, and the Jaybird app is awesome. They sound better than my $300 Beats. I'm very impressed. The only complaint is the range of the Bluetooth but who really walks away from their phone?

This is by far the most comfortable earpiece I’ve tried. If you’d like to go outside and be active while listening to music, do try this Jaybird Freedom. If jaybird can produce one with a bit longer battery life, I’d buy another one ina heart beat.!! It has gotten me through roughly 4 hours of playing music, and with a charging pack attached, I get 6-8 hours. I want one that can play about 6 hours without a charge pack.

First off all the pluses, I am amazed about the sound quality and My sound app's capability. It looks stylish too. Now the problems I felt are the battery life which is just over 2 hrs and I Dint like the design of bulky controller and if you need on the go charging, you will end up wearing a dead weight in your neck, which will be irritating.

Was looking for a headset to fit in my helmet and this seemed like a good fit, and it was the best option available. I liked how it fit but the only thing that i didnt like was that the battery is only 4 hours. The packaging is somewhat miss leading saying it can do 8 hours but only with the battery pack it comes with. The headset has plenty fitting for all types of ear sizes so it should work for everyone.

Good, but not as good as the X3's

I got these on sale as backup for my X3's and overall they're good. Sound: The sound on all the Jaybird stuff I've had is fantastic and this one is no exception. No distortion at high volumes and full rich tone. I'm no audiophile, but I'm pickier than most and they're awesome. Fit: This is where they fall down a little bit. The controls contain the battery so it's heavy and it bothers me UNLESS I wear them over the ear and with the ear fins. With a little trial and error, you'll get a good fit. I also don't like the round wire (X3's have a flat wire and it's great) as it twists and stays twisted too easily. You can work it back to not, but if I had paid full retail for this, I'd be upset. Battery/Connection: The battery is average (4hrs-ish) and the signal stability is ok. I don't lose signal unless I have the phone on the opposite side of my body which is normal for me. I don't think it's normal for most people, but I figured I should just throw it out there. If anyone has any other questions, feel free to comment and ask. Actual reviews are the best source for making purchase decisions.

Pros: - Great sound - Fit well (without the behind the head clip) - Controls work great - Can be around 15 to 20 feet away from my Samsung phone before my bluetooth connection gets spotty. Cons: - Ear 'gummies' are much more flexible than other in-ear headphones I have had and they periodically stay in my ear when I pull out the headphones. (This may just be me but it is truly annoying).
