These ear buds are lite and fit my ears well...out of the box they sound a little low...but when you use the app and use the earbud buttons as volume control they get much, much louder...and when you use the app's EQ and use some of the setting people post they sound amazing...only one negative they are out of sync when watching videos

      Hi dsulvett,

We just actually came out with an update that should improve the overall connection and improve your experience. Please just head to the link below and that will massively improve your connection.

      https://www.jaybirdsport.com/en-us/updates.html

For the bass and volume, 2 things you need to do is use the Jaybird app to customize the EQ and switch the controls in the app settings to volume controls, this will allow you to raise the volume on the RUN itself even further!
Try these things and if you run into any further issues please reach out to us directly at Jaybirdlistens@jaybirdsport.com and we will get to the bottom what is causing the issue.

So to start things off I remember when I bought this and they were good until they stopped staying in my ear and started to lose connection from one ear to another, then the volume would go all the way to almost unheard. Was ok for a bit but had to return them

My only complaint is they are not loud enough. I've had other jaybird headphones and there's a significant difference in the volume.

I was skeptical about going completely untethered, but these earbuds really stay in, even when I'm sweating like coal shoveler on a steamboat in July. I sweat profusely during my workouts, which would make you think I'm a solid rock by now, but that is not the case, but you're here about Jaybirds, not my failing fitness goals. The Jaybird Runs work great, and realistically up to about 5 1/2 hours nonstop. That's 5 albums, or 1/25 of an audio Stephen King novel! The charger gets them bak up to 100% from 0% in about 45-60 minutes. My only gripe is that you can only choose either volume or play/pause function for the buttons. PRO: Look like a pudgy cyborg in the gym. CON: Reaching into your pocket to change the volume.

Pairing on my phone goes on and off. I have to use my phone for volume and it is low. When there is loud noise, it goes through and I cannot hear well. Other ear buds (cheaper) have better volume. Comfort is good. Don't last long on. I only used them maybe twice a day for less than 30 min. after the 2nd day they were dead. Not a great buy for the cost.

I did not have very much issues withr the left ear cutting out. I just couldn't find a comfortable fit with the supplied ear pieces. Also, music was loud but netflix on my galaxy s7 was so quiet I couldn't hear it plus video was noticeably delayed. I returned them and got the jaybird X3, way happier!

Sound quality is great. Fits very snug blocking out all ambient noise. Lack of volume control is inconvenient and pressing buttons on the side can be painful after awhile. Requires firmware update out of the box or unit will have constant Bluetooth connection issues.

I wanted to try these for myself after reading the reviews here. The complaint of the left earbud dropping connection wasn't at all a problem for me. I only experienced it a few times out of 3 hours of use, and it was more like the volume dropped and came back quickly not a complete cut so it wasn't distracting when it happened since I was more focused on my run/workout. Overall I am pleased with these earbuds and they stay in place quite well.

I was a little reluctant in buying the total wireless earbuds after reading some of the negative reviews, but went them anyways and couldn't be happier. I chose Jaybird because I had the Bluebud X and they were great and lasted 4 years with heavy usage. these new one work great, they auto connect as soon as I take them out of the case and have used them in the gym, road cycling and even at freeway speeds on my Harley. The only thing I don't like is that the volume control is strictly through your phone, and the Bluetooth in not strong enough for me to wear a full face helmet on the motorcycle. Other than that I really like them, good sound quality, comfortable fit and the fast charge is nice when on the go and using them for extended periods of time.

Used the product on a few 10k runs. Easy set up, good app interface and I really like the equalizer feature. The fit is great compared to many other headsets I've used. The sound is not up to my standards and at times not loud enough to make the music for my runs more engaging. Would recommend it to any who does not need high-def sound but wants a small flexible bluetooth headset.

Great sound and fit - Poor control for running

    Posted

Great sound and fit. But, you have to choose the button functions between two separate settings, which is the dumbest thing for a runner. Either you choose volume options or play/pause/answer/siri call options. You cannot control volume and play/pause in the same setting. Yes... under the play/pause you also get Siri which you can instruct for adjusting volume up and down...but every tried talking clearly while running??? 1 star because the whole idea for these is to use them for running.

Great headphones! True wireless so you stay focused on your run. Even after getting sweaty they don't fall out. Great bluetooth connection, dropped a star because they do have moments were the song goes in and out. Would recommend for those who enjoy running and don't like wired distractions. Read the instructions on volume control as it is not defaulted out of the box.

    Disappointed

So after owning a pair of Jaybird freedoms I was surprised by the sound quality. So later I had decided to upgrade to a better version the Jaybird runs. Now for being $100 dollars more the sound quality goes down horribly. There's static in the the highs and mids and the volume of the headphone is horrible. I have them the benefit of the doubt and went and exchanged them for a second pair and I still have the same problem at this point it's embarrassing to have to go to the store twice for the same product. DO NOT BUY

Totally wireless earbuds are fairly new, with that being said, I will start with my Pro's. The design of the charging case is great. It is small, sleek and well designed. The buds are fairly comfortable and lock into your ears pretty well. The sound is pretty good and the Jaybird App allows for complete customization of the sound profile. Phone calls are clear and are broadcast out of the right earbud. The cons are, Bluetooth is not that good, they don't get loud enough and the buds cut out too often.

I got the Jaybird Run to use as a backup pair since I'm always forgetting to take my Apple Airpods to work with me or I leave them at work and forget to take them home. Using the Jaybird app allows me to customize the sound to my liking for any particular type of music I'm listening to. The earbuds come with 4 different sizes of ear tips and fins to keep the buds securely in my ears. The charging case is a little large to carry in my pocket but connects to my computer using the included Micro-USB cable and charges the ear buds pretty quickly. My only complaint about the unit is I can't crank the volume up quite as loud as I would like. That's not a problem if I'm just sitting or walking but I usually like to listen to something while mowing the lawn or using my snowblower and it just doesn't go loud enough for my taste. Other than that I'm enjoying them very much.

Jaybird rushed this product in my opinion. The connection is poor and the volume is really low. Full volume on runs are about 50% of other headphones. Returning them immediately. Long time Jaybird fan. Have owned ever headphone they have made. These are disappointing.

I recently returned my Jabra elite 65t due to one earpiece having issues when turning on the noise canceling feature. I picked up the Jaybird run earbuds since they were on sale for a good price. I took them home and charged them up, paired them, downloaded the app to update the firmware. I tried them on and these earbuds are just as loud as the X3's which are practically the loudest earbuds ever. I used the app to cater the sound to my likings. A lot of bass soft mids and soft highs. I put on some thumping house music and voila! a smile on my face. The sound isolation is pretty good. I can't hear the tv in the other room playing "Solo" the star wars movie. I bought some comply foam tips to replace the silicon versions that came with the earbuds. The comply tips are a much better fit, more isolation, and a better sound environment compared to the silicon tips. These have a louder volume level than the Elite 65t's and are more rugged. The 65t's seem too delicate. I was not happy with the defect and the overall volume of the 65t's. I'll stick with the Jaybirds. I have the X3's and now I have the Jaybird Runs. Both are keepers.

I'm a Jaybird and I personally own a pair of the Jaybird X3 and I love them. After I saw the Jaybird RUN wireless headphones come out I figured that I would give them a try. However, I find myself to be extremely disappointed. I opened the case and put in the Jaybird RUN headphones only to find that the audio quality was about half that of the X3 and the volume was about half as well. There is no way to change the volume on the earbuds themselves, you must use your phone only. Even after turning the headphones to maximum volume I found the sound production to be very weak. Even on my custom sound setting the bass was very low and the mids were soft. The highs seemed to be lacking as well. The only thing that I found to be overall pleasing was the fit of the earbuds. They feel cheaply made in the hand and I'm not a fan of the glossy finish, I would much rather a more sleep matte design. Coming in at around $180 I would not recommend buying the Jaybird RUN. For $80 cheaper I would go with the X3. The X3 produce a much crisper sound with great bass and can easily be customized to your liking. The fit of the X3 earbuds are extremely snug and comfy. The only issues I've found with the X3 earbuds would be that the ear tips easily fall off the earbuds themselves if you are not careful. I find this to happen to me sometimes when I take them out of my ear or often when I take them out of the carrying case. However, this is an easy fix as you can just order replacement tips off of Amazon for fairly cheap. The only other negative part about the X3 would be the wire tends to shift to the right after a period of time which pulls on the left earbud due to the in-line volume rocker. However, this was never really a problem for me as it is an easy fix to just over compensate by moving the wire more towards your left shoulder or by utilizing the wire clips that are included with the package. The X3 earbuds are extremely rugged. I've ran with them through the hail, sleet, snow, rain, mud, dropped them a ton of times, had them pulled off my neck while lifting, playing basketball, fighting, dunked in a pool... They have been through a lot and they are still perfectly fine. They are very appealing as well with the rubberized matte finish. The volume rocker as well utilizes very tactile buttons with a nice click which I'm a fan of. Overall, the Jaybird RUN headphones are not worth the money... I'm not even sure that I would spend $40 on them. But, if you are looking for a good pair of wireless headphones especially if your extremely active and in the elements I advise looking into the Jaybird X3. They are about $100 as of right now but I've seen deals on them as low as $80. In my opinion this is a very fair price, they are good quality earbuds.
