I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Connection between the two ear buds is garbage. Won't stay connected between each other.

If you're looking to upgrade from the Jaybird Run 1st Gen to these, don't waste your time. They're very much the same exact in terms of design and connection flaws. I'm disappointed that Jaybird didn't take the time to improve it's connection given they've had since 2017 to fix it. They simply waterproofed it, slapped a new price tag and called it a day. Nonetheless, if it's your first Jaybird product honestly it's decent for a true wireless experience. Better design than Bose or Airpods, but working with the slow connection speeds is a drawback. With Bose as soon as you pop open the case it connects instantly. This one takes at least 5 seconds.

    Great Sound/Horrible Connection

Ok...so as far as sound quality go this head set is on point with the high end Bluetooth earbuds and the apps customizable equalizer is great, but the overall experience has been lack luster to say the least. Once I really started using these on a day to day basis I noticed that the left earbud would loose connection to the right earbud quite often, especially if I was moving around. Then (on my Note9) if I left them in the charger for a day or two with no use, I would have to re-sync them with the phone. On my iPhone (XS Max) the app wont sync to them at all, the phone will connect to them, and I can listen to the music, but I have no customization of the units. Also battery is only meah, maybe 2 hours of steady listening off of a full charge.

After reading some reviews on the performance of three connection and sound quality, I was a little skeptical. After a few weeks of owning these I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. Since receiving these earbuds, I've only had 1 VERY brief connection interruption and it only lasted a few seconds and has not happened since. The comfort of the earbuds is also surprisingly positive and after 3 weeks of using these at the gym for an average of 2 hours each session, no discomfort has materialized. During run days, no issues with the earbuds falling out thoughi do recommend experimenting with the different tips and fins to find the right fit. I've also used these to watch movies on my phone and so far, no syncing issues as some have reported in other reviews. Overall, I am quite happy with this product and would certainly recommend.

These headphones have serious BT connectivity issues. I see the issue especially when they are connected to another device and I try to switch to a different device. Example. They were connected to laptop and I go to work out and try connecting with my phone. No go. I have to go in and turnoff BT on laptop for my phone to pick em up. When they finally do connect the left headphone doesn't work. I wanted to like em. I am typically a Bose guy and I guess I should have stuck with old faithful.

      Hi EZDOESIT,

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing connectivity issues with your Jaybird Run XT buds. Just send us an email at Jaybirdlistens@Jaybirdsport.com and we will get you taken care of.

Here are the Factory Reset instructions that might help resolve this problem:

      To soft reset your earbuds:

-Place your right earbud into the charge case and close the lid.
-Open the charge case and remove your earbud.

      To hard reset your earbuds:

-Turn off your right earbud by pressing the right multifunction button for 3 seconds.
-With your right earbud off, press and hold the right multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green.
-Double press the right multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset.
-When you hard reset your earbuds, you will lose any saved presets and any saved devices on the paired list. You’ll need to forget Jaybird RUN in your phone's Bluetooth device list, repair your earbuds to your Bluetooth device, See How do I pair my Jaybird RUN earbuds? and reselect your favorite preset from the Jaybird app.

You can also try re-establishing connection between the left and right earbud using the steps found on this link:

    Disappointed

I bought these earbuds with the hope that they would outperform the Apple Airpods, but unfortunately they didn't. I don't normally waste time writing reviews but I feel that my experience would add some value to another potential customer as they are reviewing options. I honestly think the sound quality is pretty good, the comfort (once you pick the right wing & rubber) is pretty awesome, and the voice recognition is pretty incredible too through Siri and on a regular phone call. I have an iPhone, and for the first time ever, Siri can hear me clearly with no error in voice recognition. My disappointment is in the connectivity of the earbuds. Very often, I experience the audio jumping from one earbud to the other, and back and forth. For example, I can hear a song from both earbuds, then all of the sudden, I can only hear on the left earbud, then only the right earbud, then back to only the left earbud, then back to the right earbud. This happens every now and then, and it doesn't create the best experience. I have tried resetting the earbuds multiple times, troubleshooting it in other ways, and nothing seems to help. I was hoping this product would be better than the Apple Airpods, especially with the Run XT being MORE expensive than the Airpods by ~$20. It seems like with the airpods, you can hear a phone call through both earbuds, whereas the Run XT you will hear only from the right earbud.

So I got to try the original Jaybird Run. After some significant struggles, they finally worked for me. I really enjoyed them and they are my go to workout earbuds. The originals had some flaws but I thought they were a good start to the product line. They were true wireless buds. They were extremely comfortable. The sound quality was nothing especially amazing but they were great for true wireless buds. Some things that I thought could and would improve in the next iteration. They did have some connectivity problems. They sometimes cut out. The left would not connect with the right. The audio lag was annoying if you wanted to watch a video. The battery life was not spectacular but 3-4 hours was decent. When I got these, I was really excited. I had hoped that they had fixed the issues. Nope. The only difference that I can find is that these are more waterproofed and have different colors. Same design. Same sound. Same battery life. Same connectivity issues. Same audio lag. If you have the first generation Run, there really isn't any reason to upgrade. In fact, given the price drop of the first gen, that's probably a better buy given the lack of new features.

No different than the last version

To start off I had high hopes for this version. I am a heavy sweater and counted on the water-proof factor of these. I owned the first Jaybird Runs and if it were not for having the Geek Squad plan, I would never get another pair because I had to return the first generation 3 times. These suffer from exactly the same connectivity issues as the first generation. About 45 minutes into my run Run XT's automatically power off (has happened on multiple runs). This was only slightly better than the first series that did it after 30 minutes. I keep my IPhone X right in front of me and from time to time the left ear will stop working. Also, the XT's don't come with the little pouch that that the first series did (and they are more expensive). The only nice thing I can say is that they are most comfortable and have the best sound quality (when they work and stay on) than any workout earpods/headphones I have used. I am a frequent runner having done 13 half marathons, 1 full marathon and multiple smaller distance races last year alone. I need a set of reliable music listening devices. I would save your money and if you are stuck on getting a Jaybird brand item, buy the first generation RUN. They are basically the same and now and now about $30 cheaper (and you get the protective pouch). The customer service that Jaybird also offers is extremely poor. They are unhelpful and unfriendly, again the need for the Geek Squad plan.
