These are great running ear buds. Some people complain about sound quality, if you have that issue change the ear tips to a different size or style. They do stay in my ears well but some times they feel like they're gonna fall out so I adjust them and they're fine.

These headphones stay in place when running and are great to workout! The really do charge fast. The only negative comments are that in order to skip song you have to really push earplug into your ear and when incoming calls happen, only the right ear device works. Sometimes there is disconnecting issues so you have to place them in box and connect them again. Overall, they are good, stay put headphones for working out.

Great Workout Buds with only a few Compromises

Pros: * Subtle improvements on the already-great Jaybird Run. @@@@@ Now fully waterproof. @@@@@ Still sounds and fits great! Cons: * Still no audio-pass through. @@@@@ Case can still pop open accidentally and discharge buds. I reviewed the prior Jaybird Run true wireless earbuds and really enjoyed them. They sounded great and had a solid fit but with a few small complaints; most notably that they didn't have audio pass-through and the case can accidentally pop open and discharge the buds in transit (in a bag, pocket, etc.). These Jaybird Run XT's are basically the same as the prior Run's but are now fully sweat and waterproof. The fit and sound are the same which is still great. The case is still easy to accidentally pop open. They still don't have audio-pass through so you have to take at least one out to hear anything other than your music. The regular Run's that I previously reviewed occasionally would disconnect from the phone or from each other. I don't know if they changed anything in the guts of the buds, but in over 10 hours of use at the gym, the Run XT's maintained a nearly 100% solid connection to the phone and each other. So either Jaybird improved the connectivity or the firmware just improved. Overall, the prior Run's were a solid 4/5 stars. The new Run XT's include improvements and I enjoyed using them, but they aren't yet a full 5/5 for me. I've just had too many times where I get to the gym and the case had popped open and the buds were dead. Sure, a 5 minute charge adds an hour of playback (almost enough time for the gym), but that doesn't make up for a poor case design. There are now a lot of different choices in the True Wireless category and with each is a tradeoff in the various specs. Some balance toward small size, some toward great sound or long battery life. While these Run XT's also include compromises, they are still highly recommended - especially for their intended purpose of use while exercising.

Earbuds sound great and stay in the the ear well when working out. If it had a volume control on the earbud I would have given it a 5 star.

I had to try out the different ear pieces included, but after finding the right fit for my ears these headphones are perfect for running. The Jaybird app lets you customize the sound, and I'd highly recommend trying that out. They sound much better after customization

I'm a tech challenged 48 yr old father of 4 that just relied on my kids hand me down head sets, just to mow grass and ride my bike around, last set handed down was power beats that wouldn't stay charged and were always falling out when I mowed and was hard to hear music while mowing! I bought my Jaybird Run XT Sports, got home made sure they were fully charged while I looked over instructions, put them in turned them on they connected immediately, fit snug and comfortable, started mowing and couldn't hear the tractor AT ALL! Never felt loose and sound quality in my opinion was perfect and even better once I opened the app and adjusted equalizer to my preference. Very Impressed so far!!

A great update to the previous RUN

The new Jaybird RUN XTs are a great addition to the Jaybird lineup. They are extremely similar to the previous RUN model but with the added benefit of waterproofing. I own the previous model and I never had any issues while using them during workouts, but it's a nice peace-of-mind feeling to know you're really covered during high intensity activities. I'm not sure if they are ready for swimming as I haven't tested them for that. I particularly like the new monotone matte finish. . they are more subtle that the last ones. The new model also has more button customization options from with the Jaybird App. At first, I noticed that the button controls had been changed and I was no longer able to adjust the volume with a simple click...it bugged me. But after diving deeper into the updated app, I found the option to adjust the buttons and and now the button controls are back to where I like them. Glad they made that an option but they really should be a bit more clear that this is a new feature and not a permanent revision somewhere. They seem a touch lighter now as well. From first glance, the earbud size remains relatively close to the previous model. They are still secure and quite comfortable to wear after selecting the right fit sleeves. The sound seems very similar to the previous model as well. It's still nice and powerful and fully customizable with the ability to create your own equalizer settings via the App. Battery life remains strong and I haven't had any issues so far. Overall, I really like them and think they are a great successor to the previous RUN model.

    Good Comfort and Sound

The new Jaybird RUN XT's are nearly there in terms of all around true wireless headphones that perform well in every category. They have a solid low profile design, sound good, easily portable and rechargeable, and connect right away to your smart phone. There are still a few things that could be better with the new Jaybird Run's. The Bluetooth connection is good most of the time but when I'm wearing them outside and my phone in an armband or pocket the connection will sometimes drop for a second in the left ear piece. I'm also not a fan of the buttons on the side which take a bit of pressure to click in order to control your music. The battery life at 4 hours doesn't bother me because I always carry around my charging case and put the headphones in there when I'm done with them so they are always at full charge. The fit and comfort is good too. Not once was I scared that they were going to fall out whether I was on a run or playing basketball and my ears did not get fatigued. These headphones like most of jaybird products connect to the jaybird app which allows you to create your own sound profile. That is really a nice treat with these headphones because the stock sound is just okay but tweeking it to your liking make them good headphones. In terms of true wireless headphones I wouldn't go with any other pair. These are now IPX7 water resistant certified and can withstand the amount of sweat I produce which is a lot during a workout. I like that they do not stick out of the ear too much and are comfortable to wear. There are still some things to improve on but overall I really enjoy the Jaybird Run XT's.

After reading some reviews on the performance of three connection and sound quality, I was a little skeptical. After a few weeks of owning these I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. Since receiving these earbuds, I've only had 1 VERY brief connection interruption and it only lasted a few seconds and has not happened since. The comfort of the earbuds is also surprisingly positive and after 3 weeks of using these at the gym for an average of 2 hours each session, no discomfort has materialized. During run days, no issues with the earbuds falling out thoughi do recommend experimenting with the different tips and fins to find the right fit. I've also used these to watch movies on my phone and so far, no syncing issues as some have reported in other reviews. Overall, I am quite happy with this product and would certainly recommend.

same problem with all silicone earbuds. once I start sweating they fall out. before I went running I tried all combinations of the fitting pieces. found what fit best and went running. a few minutes in they were falling out. had to keep readjusting them. everything except this seemed great. if you'ren't running or moving around alot I'd recommend these but if you're a runner I'd stay away if you dont want to keep adjusting these during your run.

My daily go-to earbuds used to be the powerbeats 3, but recently the earhooks broke off and the bluetooth signal kept cutting out. I decided to upgrade to truly wireless earbuds and being a previous owner of the jaybird X2s, these were a no brainer. They came charged up right out of the box and the pairing process was quick and simple. The jaybird app let me tune the sound signature to my liking and these things sound amazing. So far I have not had any bluetooth connection problems with these things. They fit really snug in my ear for when im running or working out and they are also water and sweat proof. One con that I have experienced so far is that the buttons are harder to press so I find myself jamming the earbuds into my ear when I try to use the play/pause button. While this is very uncomfortable it isnt a huge issue and I recommend these to anybody who wants to make the transition to fully wireless earbuds and wants great sound quality, a secure fit, and water resistance.

I've been a Jaybird fan since the Blue Buds right on up to the X4's. Always getting better and better and blowing away the competition. Was excited to try the Run and then the Run XT's. I've tried pretty much every True wireless brand out there and the Run XT are quite good. Better quality sound than all in the price range except Bose's. But I prefer the in ear isolation of the Jaybird's. The Bose sounded a bit better but don't seal out the outside sound. Only negative about them is no on bud volume control. Have to control it on phone. Ultimately I went with the Sennheiser Momentum but those are almost twice the price of the Jaybird Run XT. Unsurpassed sound but above many consumers budget. Worth every penny for me though!!!
