After having owned my Jaybirds for several months now I am very pleased with them. The sounds is really good, especially with the accompanying app, battery life is great, and calls are really good for me and the person I'm speaking with.
The only negative I have experienced is that the fit could be better. They get loose at times and I have to re seat them. Other than that I am glad I bought them.

Okay so I just want people to feel the struggle a little. So I've been a fan of jaybirds since the x3s were hot stuff. So I bought the jaybird vistas as a no brainer I did run into a couple of problems with them but best buy was so great and had no problem helping me. The first pair I had gotten had this exposed looking wire thing on the left earbud I'll post a pic so you guys could see. I went to best buy explained to them that it was like that when I opened them and they exchanged them for me. So I come back home with my new pair its been 5 days and the right earbud stopped working thought it was not charged because I forgot to put it back in case. Charged it and it still didn't work... now I was upset swearing logitech off for good. Thought maybe I had to reconnect to bluetooth now that it made it worse and now it wasn't even showing up in my blue tooth settings. I did a soft reset and a factory reset and nothing I called jaybirds and the system kept giving me that horrible sound when the number is discounted. Went to best buy they told me to just get a different brand I kinda agreed with them but at the same time I've had jaybirds for 5 years now.. I couldn't do it I just exchanged them for a new pair of vistas and no problems with these. Love them and wouldn't change a thing.

Customized Sound, Comfort, & Feature-Packed App

Reviewing these Jaybird Vista Wireless Sport Headphones has been an adventure in discovering the multitude of ways to enjoy them. Having reviewed several of these wireless, sport ear buds before, the Jaybird Vista is now my favorite. I have to lead off with the sound quality of these sport ear buds because at the end of the day, it is the most important feature. It is why we choose any pair of ear buds in the first place. Jaybird Vista sound emanates from the 6mm milled drivers in each ear bud. Coupled with the Custom EQ control in the Jaybird App, and, the sound quality settings are endless. After several weeks of daily use this is the most interesting feature of these ear buds IMHO.
So, why do I think these are my favorite sport ear buds ever?
* Sound – Jaybird gives me the ability to customize my listening preferences through its Jaybird App. The App is available through Google Play or the Apple App Store. I can customize my own personal sound preferences using the EQ, or, use any number of EQ furnished Presets. I can also 'Save' and name any of my own customized EQ settings. I can even add a genre selection of music that I prefer. How cool is that? At first I was a little disappointed that SBC Codec was used instead of any of the newer, High Resolution Audio Codecs, like aptX, LDAC and AAC. However, having the ability to customize the sound quality to my own personal preferences almost boundlessly and save them for my own music genres outweigh the use of any HRA Codecs. Stereo Channel separation is clear, detailed, and full bodied.
* Fit and Comfort – Next to sound quality these are also important features. On my daily runs these ear buds are so lightweight and easy to wear. They do not stress any part of my ears. Each ear bud body is marked clearly R or L. Out of the box I had my doubts because of their small size and wing tips. However, they fit securely enough for me to run and work out. Since I have one ear a little bigger then the other I use the Number Two tip in my Left ear and the Number Three tip in my Right. This combination fits me perfectly. WooHoo! Jaybird furnishes three pairs of eargels (small, medium, and large). The last few weeks we have had lots of rain. I have had no issues with the Jaybird ear buds in the rain because they have an IPX7 waterproof rating. Cleaning the eargels is pretty easy too. I clean my eargels every second day by removing the ear tip and washing with antibacterial hand soap, then, rinse in warm water and dry.
* Jaybird App - The Jaybird App is downloadable and Free. It is compatible with Apple devices running iOS 11 and above and Android 6.0 and above. The folks at Logitech did an outstanding job in the design and numerous features of this App. It is feature-packed and very comprehensive. Especially, when it comes to customizing my sound quality choices. This App also allows me to enable or disable Voice Prompts. It can find my ear buds if I misplaced or lost them through the 'Find Your Buds' feature. I can see the present status of my battery charge and my connected devices. I can choose music to play from shared 'Playlists' (Sign-Up is required). I can also set the 'Auto-Shutoff' time through this App (15 or 60 minutes or always ON). This App will also inform me when there is a firmware update. I expect future updates will introduce new ideas in listening quality features. In my opinion Logitech, Jaybird Vista is the industry Leader in App development and features.
* Playtime and Battery – Because of my set volume levels I approach nearly 4 hours of continued use with these ear buds. However, there is another 10 hours of charge in the case when it is fully charged (8 hours they way I use them). The case takes a little over 3 hours to fully charge, and the buds approximately 2 hours to fully charge. When the case is charging with the included type “C” charging cable, it pulses White. When fully charged the LED is solid White. When I place both ear buds in the charging case they automatically turn OFF and begin to charge. They are magnetically held in place inside the charging case. When I take the ear buds out of the charging case they automatically turn ON.
* Phone Calls – I use Siri with one-touch of either ear bud to call a phone number for me. One-touch also allows me to answer a phone call. The sound is crystal clear according to the folks I have called. It is also noteworthy to mention that you can customize a single or double-touch press function using the Jaybird App.
* Pairing Versatility – The Jaybird Vista Eargels can pair to any Bluetooth devices, cell phone, tablet, laptop, smart watch, etc. I was able to pair these buds within a minute to my Apple cell. I just received a Samsung Smart Watch as a Birthday gift and am looking forward to pair my watch and ear buds. All I have to do is download some music playlists to my watch and I can then leave my cell at home. YooHoo!
* Convenience – I travel a lot and really appreciate the hard-backed, charging case. There is a handy, dandy loop built-in to the case, which will allow simple attachment to a key chain, purse, or, whatever you may wish to attach it too. It conveniently protects my ear buds and charges too. Whoopie Doo!
* Shortcomings – None.
* Conclusion – The Logitech folks, who designed these Jaybird Vista Wireless Sport Headphones have hit a home-run. They are the best-fitting, most comfortable, App-driven, sport, ear buds with the highest quality of customizable sound enjoyment I have ever experienced. I highly recommend these Jaybird Vista Eargels to anyone, who really appreciates outstanding audio reproduction while going through daily, physical activities. They can actually enhance the quality of your workout, and inspire musical inspiration to achieve your goals. They are super even if you don't work out. There are several family members on my Christmas List, who will find these under their 'tree' this year. Ho, Ho, Ho!

The Jaybird brand has always been a brand that could be trusted in my opinion. I have all the other earphones Brands out there as I review them on my site. From Sony,E8, Sennheiser, master and Dynamics, etc, etc. and while all of them specialize in their own specific area more than others, the Jaybirds Vista’s are the first pair to have the smallest footprint and yet still maintain a powerful punch in all areas. Their tinny fit into your ears disappears and yet even their case is so small and inviting to keep with you. Then once you get into that amazing community that they have inside their app and start customizing and testIng other peoples EQ settings, another world opens up for you. You basically can make these sound like you want them to and this is where they differ from all other brands. That community is so diverse and strong that you can find so many settings even a music suggestions built into Spotify. In fact I think they are the only earphone who has a app that is partnering with Spotify. That should tell you something in and of itself. Then, that battery life. Love the fact that you have 6 hours on the earphones and 10 on the case. They also have one of, if not the fastest reconnection on the market all while being sweat proof, water proof, dirt proof, and even stepped-on proof. They call it ”Earthproof” and no other earphone out there has that claim. Small, powerful, and durable...need there be anymore to say than that?

These are hands down the best ear buds that I have ever tested out, Period end of story.
I love everything about these little gems. The sound is flawless and beautifully clear. The ergonomic design is wonderful and pleasing to the ear’s and head's comfort. I personally do not like the way one of the other major producer of wireless earbuds look while hanging in people’s ears (think hard and you will guess which company I am referring to). These look more like a musician’s onstage inner earbuds, sleek and stylish. They are so light yet so well thought out, I forget that I have them in my ear canals all the time. The battery last long enough for me to consider them a premium product. But most importantly for me, is that I am always searching for "That" perfect workout earbuds or headphones and low and behold, I FOUND them. I have used them while doing manual labor, working out, and or doing cardio like running and they will not fall out of my ear, are waterproof, and again are super soft and hardly noticeable. For me these are exactly what I have wanted in a pair of earbuds, they hit on all marks.
Only con, was the initial setup did take a bit but, I followed the instructions and downloaded the app to update the firmware and I have had zero issues since. Every device I have paired them with has worked perfectly.

These little earbuds are convenient and easy to use. The Jaybird app is full of extra features that make these earbuds an amazing tool. Call quality is decent and overall these are ALMOST everything I'd want in earbuds. If you want a loud and hard hitting earbuds then these will leave you wanting... I've contacted Jaybird and they admit these earbuds are designed to reach a certain level of volume as a standard. Unfortunately I expect headphones for gym use to be LOUD. If you dont need obnoxiously loud earbuds then these will probably be the best thing you could buy for the a sports bud.

I’ve had these for less than a year and the charging case broke already (see photo). The ear bud also continually falls out of my left ear - very frustrating. They don’t pair as well with my iPhone as the Beats do either. The sound is good but I would not buy them again.

Tl;dr: Light weight, decent sounding buds designed for intense workouts in all weather conditions. Strong competitor against Airpods matching Apple’s size with better sound, battery life, and build quality. USB-C charging.
Full review:
True Wireless earbuds are the essence of compromise. They have to be small, but sturdy. They must have long life, but decent sound. They must be easy to control, but fit in your pocket. They should block out external noise, but provide a good microphone for phone calls. Jaybird has managed to find the sweet spot for nearly all of these issues.
Sound:
The overall sound is very decent with only a slight bass emphasis. Compared with other sets, including my favorite wired buds from 1More, there’s generally a lack of definition. However, the BT sets I’ve liked better cost more and don’t have the water proof engineering that these do. Compared to Apple’s Airpods, these have a much more defined mid range. The best comparison would be to concert speakers which are often strong across all frequencies, but can’t deliver them simultaneously.
Isolation:
The earbuds provide excellent isolation from the outside world which increases the perceived bass and overall definition. It performs equally well at both low and high volumes. Since these are designed for fitness/workouts, you can be assured of setting aside the rest of the world when you set out on your own path.
Microphone/Calls:
In a quiet place, the mic does a nice job of picking up your voice. It connected quickly to my phone for calls and for music. When you’re outside or in a noisy environment, your callers will certainly be able to tell. If this is your primary purpose, just buy Airpods. For occasional use, the better earphone sound quality and overall build quality make up for the poor noise reduction.
Comfort:
These are the most comfortable true wireless ear buds that I’ve worn. I used them comfortably all day long, blocking out the noise from my office with a bunch of sales folks. They come with 3 different sets of fit wings, though I only used the ‘Medium’ size. They never felt close coming out. When I did want to remove them, they came out quickly and easily. They easily snap into the case with a small magnet. Another magnet keeps the case closed.
Battery Life:
The case charges quickly from a USB-C output. The earbuds charge quickly as well. You can use either ear bud independently of the other for virtually continuous sound. In 3 hours with the buds on, they only drained to 60% (based on the app). On that basis, they should easily last for the 6 hours claimed on the box.
Build/Water:
The buds are incredibly light, as is the case. So much so that I often don’t notice when they’re in my pocket. They’re also barely noticeable in my ears. The control buttons on each ear are responsive with minimal pressure. There’s one button for bud which allows you to control them with light gloves on. Controls can be used for pause, skip track, and volume. They can also be configured to use Siri or Google Assistant. They’re advertised as being waterproof, but after drowning my last pair of true wireless ear buds, I’m not tempting fate.

I love that I can train and have no wires getting in the way. I had the one with a wire between the buds which was good these are much better. Even those would come out sometimes. The charging case is great. It’s large enough I don’t loose them in my gym bag.
The audio is the best part about these buds. I get clear base and high treble response.
I also love that I can swim in them.

This is Jaybird’s premier totally wireless headphones. Actually they’re earbuds.
Has IPX7 waterproof rating and a compact, low profile case which makes it easy to carry and charge the earbuds Really love the magnets inside the case. Makes it easy to be sure the earbuds are properly inserted for charging.
I would be careful not to lose the charging case with the earbuds in them tho. See my photo of case with carrying cord.
There’s six hours of audio on a full charge, plus ten more in charging case. A five minute quick charge gets an hour of playtime. Independent bud use extends total power to 32 hours.
Three sizes of interchangeable ear gels included for a secure, ultra comfortable fit that feels weightless in your ears.
Use the Jaybird app for infinite EQ control.
There’s crystal clear, zero lag stereo sound and reliable connection that pairs easily with your phone.
Sound quality as good as a $300 stereo gaming, over the head, earphones IMHO.
Tested on my Pixel 3XL, Acer R11 Chromebook and Win 10 laptop with no issues.
Received a suspected spam call on phone and used call screening. When call ended music resumed so I know this feature works.
Did lose sound on right bud but performed a factory reset and sound came back.
These earbuds produce high quality sound features and are very comfortable for long periods of time so I highly recommend them.

The android app set up the pairing with the phone easily, and using the app to connect them the first time resulted in a firmware update downloading and installing from the app. The app also allows adjusting the sound with presets, it may take some experimenting to find what appeals to your own ear, and it may vary by the kind of content you listen to most.
When I first checked the sound on music, i was unsure about the quality, but it turned out the source material was the quality issue. I found more dynamic full sound content and was impressed.
The portable carrying case has a USB-C port for charging, and note that the pairing button is inside the case. I like, as with some other Jaybird true wireless earbuds, that I can charge the case even while I am wearing/using the earbuds, and later charge the buds in my pocket inside the case. The case itself is small and the earbuds fit the case easy. Battery life is excellent, I used them quite a while the first day of testing (putting them in the charging case in pocket in between) and it's held up strong for hours. It's convenient that in the notification area on my android phone, I was able to see the battery level for each earbud. Also when I first put them on, a voice announces the battery level which I always find important for all Bluetooth headphones, without that I put them on and have no idea how close to empty I am.
While testing, to see how well they held I used these earbuds while doing a 15 minute run/walk on the treadmill and they stayed in the full time without seeming to come loose, and during that time they provided a good sound quality as I streamed live tv (which made the treadmill time go quicker too).

Perfect for running!

Runners- this review is for you! I am beyond pleased with my Jaybird Vista headphones. When my Jaybird Freedom headphones died, I was interested in investing in a pair of true wireless headphones for long distance running. I run half and full marathons, so my “needs” list for a pair of headphones included secure fit, comfort for long periods of time, decent battery life, and ability to hear ambient sound when running outdoors. The Jaybird Vista meets these expectations and more! Here’s my experience with the Jaybird Vista:
Secure fit- Fantastic! The earbuds come with 3 sizes of ear gels. I really appreciate how the tip and the fin are attached, compared to my Jaybird Freedom’s where the tips started falling off when I took them out of my ear and I would lose them! It took to me a little while to realize exactly how the headphones are supposed to fit in my ear (I used the tutorials on the Jaybird app, which were somewhat helpful). I guess I have a pretty small ear “cavity”, so I need the 1 size ear gel and I have to shove them in a little. However, once they are in, they don’t move! The longest I’ve ran with them in is 10 miles and I never had to adjust the earbud the entire time.
Comfort- Great! Like I said, I’ve ran 10 miles with my Jaybird Vista and I never felt any major ear fatigue. I did notice the first time I wore the left ear bud, my ear was a little sore, but that has since resolved the more times I’ve worn them. I would assume if you’ve never had true wireless headphones that your ears may need time to adjust to the different fit. I am also a student, so I look forward to trying out these headphones for studying in the future and hopefully they continue to remain comfortable for long period of studying, but I haven’t had the opportunity to test that yet.
Battery life- So far, so good! The longest amount of time I have used my headphones to date is 1 hour 35 minutes and they worked great during that time. My marathon time was around 4 hours and 30 minutes, so these headphones should theoretically have enough battery life for an average marathoner, which is a really exciting feature!
Ability to hear ambient sound when running outdoors- This was super important to me. As a female runner, I need to be aware of my surroundings. I researched other headphones that had “hear through” options, but was turned off by all the other features they included that I personally felt were unnecessary, like heart rate monitor, etc. I will admit, these headphones are very noise cancelling (which is great for the gym or the library). The way around this for outdoor running, however, is to only wear one earbud at a time. I wasn’t sure how thrilled I was about only wearing one earbud for my runs, but it hasn’t been an issue so far and I feel like I still am motivated by my music while being able to sufficiently hear ambient noise with only one earbud in.
Other comments- These headphones had a lot of really attractive features for runners. I love that they’re waterproof because I sweat a lot, although I haven’t actually tested dropping them in water. I wanted decent sound quality from my headphones, although sound wasn’t a major factor for me. I think the sound quality definitely meets my expectations and the Jaybird app allows you to tailor the sound specs to your preferences, which is pretty cool! Buttons for controlling your music are fairly “clicky”. I guess the only time I’ve noticed any true discomfort with the earbuds is when I’m clicking the button to use the controls, but they’re relatively easy to press and I don’t feel like they dig into your ear any further when you press them. I like that you can adjust what you want a specific control to do on the Jaybird app. I currently have changed the setting when you hold down the button on the right bud to increase volume and the left bud to decrease volume. My one compliant with these headphones is that this is not super accurate for changing to a specific volume and it’s easy to go too high or too low. Also, this doesn’t work if you’re only running with one bud in. No complaints about Bluetooth connectivity: the earbuds pair almost instantly once you take them out of the case, no dropped connection to note yet, and they seem to have excellent Bluetooth range. I also love that the headphones automatically turn off when you put them back in the case. You also have the option to change the settings on the Jaybird app for when they automatically turn off outside of the case. The case is really small and seems sturdy. I haven’t had to charge it for over a week while using the earbuds daily. The earbuds magnetically click into the case and the case magnetically closes, so everything seems very secure. Things I’m interested in testing come this winter are battery life in cold climates (I live in ND and my Jaybird Freedoms would often die quickly in the cold) and comfort while wearing a hat or headband.
Overall, the Jaybird Vista are everything I want in a true wireless running headphone. Thank you Jaybird!

Long lasting, truly wireless

Truly wireless, small profile, decent audio quality and long battery life, uncommon to get all of that is truly wireless earbuds. Most I have tried usually last maybe a couple hours or if they did last longer had a cylinder sticking out of your ear. The Jaybird Vista is simple to connect with one button on the case and standard Bluetooth connection. Sound quality by default is pretty decent, but I found it best when I installed the Jaybird app and used the equalizer. After using the “Discover more presets” option I was able to find exactly the sound I was looking for. Surprisingly low bass and range for such small earbuds.
I used these for several hours this weekend while doing some strenuous yard work and with all the sweat and activity they stayed in place. One thing that may be of concern for some out exercising is that these provide a decent amount of passive noise isolation. Meaning with music playing, you aren’t going to hear much of your surroundings. So, for me this weekend they actually acted as noise protection from the lawn equipment.
The only interaction these earbuds have is a single button that by default you click once for play/pause or call answer, twice for skip or ignore call or long hold for power off. However, you can change the clicks to be the voice assistant of your phone or some other custom commands for Spotify. I found the pressure needed to press the buttons a little excessive as they push the earbud into your ear a bit more. The only thing that would make them better is a touch sensitive button.
You can use the earbuds individually if you want to extend your battery life even more. For instance, when you get the 20% audio warning, take one out and throw it in the case till you run the other one dead, then swap out and keep going. With about 6 hours on a single full charge you can make these last more than a day with one at a time.
