Before my purchase, I read a few reviews to help me make my decision on these wireless headphones. First off let me say that these headphones are nothing short of AMAZING. Now i'm not an audiophile person, but, compared to my bose wired headset, these just blow them out of the water, when it comes to clarity, bass and treble tones. Another great feature with these is the app that can be downloaded via playstore or apple, to fine tune your sound experience and save the settings as well! In the past i used to have a set of the earlier jaybird headphones and you needed a dongle to transmit the signal, they wern't as prestine as these in sound or fit. But, now that i have these, bose just became my gaming headset, and will do fine for the use (as they're falling apart at the connections due to the rubber coating breaking down only after 3 years of use, normal wear and tear i suppose). I also liked the fact when these are turned on and inserted into your ears, it tells you the battery percent and notify you when they're linked to your device(s). A definite upstep from what i've had in the past. The app isn't perfect when it comes to refreshing your battery percentage (life), but i'm sure jaybird will present a fix somewhere down the line. The charging port is a little finicky at first, but understand, micro b usb plugs do wear out over time in devices, i accept the contact approach gladly, just be sure to use the elastic string around your micro b cable (so you don't lose it, otherwise you won't have a way to charge your battery). The ear tips it comes with are both silicone and foam, and the lub tips to secure in the inner rim ear area, come in different sizes as well, will make for a comfortable fit. Just read the quick start guide to make sure you're doing it right. Overall, I'm back with jaybird audio, and if you're looking for headphones that CAN compete with beats and sol, look no further, these DO AND WILL DELIVER!! Go grab a set, you will NOT be disappointed.

I often use these for running and working out and so far, they have been perfect for me. Maybe not as much bass as I would have liked, but I can look past that. I appreciate the fact that they are wireless headphones and how you can tighten them with the clips that come with the headphones. I always use the sport fit along with those clips to ensure they don't move around at any point during my run. I also use the fins and those also help to keep them from falling out. I used to use Skull Candy's wireless earbud headphones, but the band would always move around and would cause my headphones to fall out of my ears. That got irritating after awhile and decided to go with these after doing some research. They aren't horribly expensive, but they aren't super cheap either. They are definitely worth the investment though and so far I've had no issues with them not connecting or the battery faltering at all. I highly suggest these for sure!!! Stop your search here!

    (Almost) Perfect Wireless Earbuds

I've gone through many reviews and spent countless hours (exaggerated a bit) watching youtubers review this product along with many other competitor products such as the Beats X, Apple Airpods, Samsung Icon X etc. and in the end I chose the Jaybird X3 because the pros for the X3 outweighs the cons by a very large margin. Reminder that nothing is perfect but within the Wireless earbuds department, there is nothing closer to perfect than the X3. Pro: Battery life is always an issue with these wireless earbuds but with the X3, I've never really had to worry about batterylife as the X3 does as they say it would (8 hours). On a weekly basis, I'd really only have to charge it, maybe twice. I use it everytime I commute to work and I commute by using public transportation. It takes about 30 minutes to and 30 minutes from (totaling at 1 hour) and I work at least 5 days a week and usually by the end of the work week I would be left with 20% left. No problem. Just plug it in and your earbuds should be full in about an hour. A good addition is that everytime you turn it on, it tells you the current batterylife before connecting to any devices. The X3 also tells you when you have 20% left even if you are in the middle of streaming or lost with the music. Another plus. Water Resistant is always a plus. I come from a city/state that is known for it's sudden change in weather. One day it can be bright, sunny and clear. Next day, rain, thunderstorm and or snow. I've never had to worry about getting my X3 wet as they would work just fine in any natural occurrences. Idk about natural disasters, I'm not willing to put my X3 or myself up to the test. Connection works like a breeze. Connecting it for the first time is as simple as turning the X3 on, and connecting it to a bluetooth ENabled device. Everyother time after that, as long as the bluetooth on your device is on, the X3 will automatically connect when turned on. And it only automatically connects to devices that it has connected to before. Smart! Meh/Can improve on The wires are unnoticable but that is really only when it isn't in use and is dangling around your neck. I've had times that I forgot that it was even there and threw tantrums about losing something worth $130. But then when I realize that it is around my neck, I am once again reminded of how glad I am, that the X3 is wireless but wired to keep them from being lost, unlike the Airpods or Icon X. The negative is that moving your head around is limited to how long the wire is. There are times when I had to tilt my head or even turn my whole body to look at something: to avoid pulling the earbuds out of my ears. And then turn back to have to adjust the wires everytime so that one side isn't to tight and the other isn't too loose. But every now and then, when in use, I do in fact forget that the wires are there, until I have to turn my head... Might just be my specific product but within the first few hours of unpacking it for the first time, one side of the earbud fell off so I had to go looking for it. This is why I try to avoid in-ear earbuds as the tip can fall off and get lost without you noticing or come off and get lodged into your ear (never happened to me but one can never be too cautious). Just don't like having stuff jammed into my ear. Plus side is that the X3 comes with wingtips so you can adjust how far the tip of the earbud goes into your ear without worrying that it will fall out of your ear as the wingtips will keep the earbuds in place. Sound does drop for a split second every now and then, when you cover the mic piece but it's not a big deal to me. Just something to note. Can be improved on. Cons The charging port is not standard and requires a unique plug in. Lose that, your X3 is worthless unless you find the plug in or get a new one. This is the main deal breaker and perhaps the only reason that I refrain from calling the X3 perfect. I've had many occasions in which I had to rummage through my bag, drawer, bed, clothing, just to find it. I would not have gotten the X3 if they didn't balance it out with it's great battery life. Something to take note, Jaybird. Main deal breaker for most Idk Not a sound expert/audiophile so long as I can listen to music for a long time, then I don't care about quality Summary The X3 is a bang for it's buck. Cheaper than most models. Long batterylife. Water resistant. Smooth connection. With most smartphone makers moving towards the idea of (truly) wireless, #RIP #Headphone #Jack #(Sorry to all the Jacks out there); the X3 is a 100% must have wireless earbud (only if you are careful not to lose the plug-in like I do every now and then). This is a win.

I'm going to make this short and sweet. First off.. I very RARELY give out perfect scores.. but if something deserves it, I absolutely WILL.. I've been using the Jaybird headphones for almost 2 years now starting with the F5 Freedom.. I'll just run down a shortlist of what I think about these new (for me) X3's * Jaybirds are the FIRST headphones I ever got that doesn't break from my heavy sweating. I really really sweat alot!! I am 6'4'' with alot of energy and I run for about 3-4 miles 4 times a week. * These headphones are in my opinion 100% customizable. The most comfy way for me to wear them are actually none of the styles listed by Jaybird.. but I still give them the kodos because the product gives me the option to figure out whatever works best for me. *The sound quality on the F5 Freedoms was good... but these x3's are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! and I am an Audio Engineer and Music Producer, so I know exactly what I am listening for and listening to. Sound quality is Phenomenal.. Plus the app gives you FULL 100% CUSTOMIZATION!! Which is amazing in itself! especially when you understand audio frequencies enough to fine tune the output to literally anything you like. *These things have amazing durability. **Buy now some of you may be thinking that I was paid to write this.. but absolutely not! The main reason why I am really so in love with these headphones and the Jaybird brand.. is because the PRICE that you pay for this level of quality!!!!!! THAT'S really why I am praising these headphones and even Jaybird as a brand so much right now!! Cause I appreciate when a company and it's employees are slaving themselves for countless hours to deliver us (the consumer) the absolute best product possible.. for a price that many of us can actually afford!! Thank you Jaybird.. I can really appreciate these, and your brand! 5 out of 5 stars from me

When I first got them, they worked well. They are comfortable. Different ear pieces. The sound is terrific (for ear buds). They are light and the battery life is as good as I would hope for. But, they talk to you when you first turn them on, as they are supposed to. They tell you they are on and the amount of battery life. Then they tell you they are connected. All good things. Sometimes they tell you they are connected and they are not. You can connect them again and things tend to be fine. Except lately they tell you they are connected a lot, while listening to music or any audio. They just speak up and let you know they are connected. You are using them to listen so you already know this. This is annoying. I thought it was interference from my phone or my tablet, I turned them off and still it does it.

I was a bit hesitant to jump on the wireless headphone bandwagon since I have always used wired headphones on my workouts. These are perfect if you are a runner! I have experience little to no issue at all getting the perfect foam fit. The headphones never fall out while I am active. In addition, they sound great. Customer Service at Jaybird can be a bit slow at times, but I never experienced a technical issue with this item.

I am not a fan of ear buds but they are the logical choice when it comes to working out and running. After several weeks of research, I actually selected a couple of different buds first. For one reason or another, I sent those back and ended up buying these when they went on sale. It took me several minutes, if not an hour to find the right combination of tips and wings to get a good comfortable fit. There are several different pieces to choose from. I ended up having to use different sized tips and wings so its nice they include several sizes of each. The battery life is really great. I can easily workout all week before having to charge them. Which leads me to my only complaint with these buds, the charge cord/adapter thingy. It is a proprietary adapter with a very short cable. Then there is the subject of sound quality. These buds are really good right out of the box. But then you download the companion app and take the sound to WOW! They are quite adjustable and very easily customized to your preferences.

I purchased these based on the great track record Jaybird seems to have built up, being the third generation in their X line I jumped on the opportunity to purchase the X3 on release. They are simply the best wireless earphones by far that they actually beat most wired ones i've also used. The battery claims hold up and the connectivity is solid, the way it instantly pairs with everything I own that has bluetooth all at the same time on power on is fantastic and convenient. The Comply ear-tips have kept the buds in my ear for more than 3 hours at a time with great comfort and isolate an incredible amount of outside noise. The only thing I can potentially point out as a negative is the charging method with involves clicking the control unit located on the wire into a tiny usb powered dock. I was immediately annoyed by this but after a few days I can say thats its a perfectly good way to charge it and is actually more convenient than plugging in a micro usb cable as you can clip on the X3 charger with just one hand. Jaybird's MySound app is a great way of seeing exactly how much juice is left in the buds and the sound tuning possible with it is amazing. At the launch price of 129.99 these are much cheaper than any other Jaybird earphones at launch and are totally worth it. If you found my review helpful please mark it as so and thanks for reading.

I researched several brands and ultimately decided on the Jaybirds over the Powerbeats3 due to complaints the Powerbeats were easily broken. I have had them for a couple of months and like them better each day. The different size buds and custom ear fins enabled me to get a perfect fit. My biggest complaint before the Jaybirds were that my earbuds would wiggle loose resulting in poor sound quality, especially the bass. I don't have that issue with these. Coupled with the "MySound " app on my iPhone, these have the best sound quality of any earbuds I have ever used. I mainly use them at the gym or when riding my bike and the battery can easily last several days before I charge them. The proprietary charger is a bit goofy, but so far it has worked fine. Just don't lose it or you can't recharge the buds! One final bonus I just discovered is that the buds fit so well, they act as great noise cancelling headphones while flying on airplanes. They cut out 90% of the background noise even when not listening to music...bonus!! The one thing I cannot comment on is how well they perform for phone calls since I don't use them for that purpose. If I lost these earbuds, or they quit for some reason, I would replace them without a second thought. If you are on the fence, get them! You won't be sorry!

So, I've owned Jaybirds X Bluebuds and X2 and I have to say there was not a big jump from the first version to the second in sound quality or design. But the X3s are a significant improvement! To start, they're smaller so they fit more comfortably in my ear canal (may vary based on your ear), which means less to know fatigue. Secondly, the sound quality is excellent! It's a little bass boosted but even at a flat EQ setting, the mids are not muddy, but full and the highs are clean. Lastly, the My Jaybird My Sound app is a game changer! You can truly fine tune these earbuds to the exact sound profile that want. In addition, you can choose pre-defined ones my athletes and other users. My only gripe is that a small cradle is needed to charge the buds (connected to micro-USB), but with over 8 hours of batter life, you won't be charging up that much. It even has fast charging with 15-20 min will garner you an hour of listening. I love these! I would try truly wireless buds, but they're still too expensive for nominal battery life and sound quality. I'm going to wait another year or two for tech to improve. Thanks for reading!

First time purchasing bluetooth headsets. I read reviews and talked to several people that used bluetooth headsets. I decided to buy. Jaybird has good reviews and reputation for headsets. I like the battery life, fit, and sound quality. The price point is reasonable. Listening to music on runs is usually nice. They tend to make weird noise when near other powerful radio signals. Phone calls are a hit or miss, mostly miss. Calls are usually broken, like packet loss, or barely audible. When the call works it is flawless. For exercise only, I would recommend them. For calls, I do not reccomend. My phone is a note 8. There should not be any technical issues.

These are the best headphones that I have ever purchased. They sound amazing with the right amount of lows, mids and highs. They also can get very loud if you like your music like that. Noise isolation is solid. The fit is excellent but you have to find tinker around with how you want to wear them (over the ear or under the ear), prefer fins or no fins, what buds and what size buds. I prefer under ear, with fins, comply foam tips in medium size. I think some people that complained about not fitting correctly probably didn't take the time to find out the right and most comfortable fit for them. The hardware feels durable and the battery actually lasts as long as they stated which is 8 hours. It also has a Jaybird MySound app which has various preset equalizers and your own customization that makes a certain genre music sound much better to your liking. My con is that it has a proprietary snap on charger which is kind of annoying if I want to charge it elsewhere, I must bring that snap on charger around which means I could possibly lose it or damage it. Everything else is AWESOME!

I did a lot of research prior to buying these headphones. Beatsx are one of the most highly rated earphones on rtings.com. I originally set out to buy a set of AirPods (which I did), but then I saw Jaybird X3s on sale for $80. Why not? I bought a pair. The latency (lag between video and audio) was pretty bad. Even though they sounded incredible, I took them back. While I mostly listen to music with my headphones, I also watch a fair amount of video. Beatsx happen to also be on sale, so I made an exchange. The Beatsx had amazing sound and fit even better than the Jaybird X3. But, I was still curious. So, I bought AirPods. The AirPods were great for what they are: completely wireless headphones. It was nice not having any wires, and I felt completely free to move around. The sound was also reasonable considering they're just wireless EarPods. Unfortunately, the slippery white case slipped out of my pocket unnoticed at least twice while I was at my house. This freaked me out and made me think I might lose them pretty easily. That, on top of the fact that they cost $60 more than the Beatsx (at the time) prompted me to take them back. The only thing I don't like about the Beatsx is the cable. There's a pretty significant amount of cable noise if you're not careful about how you twist the cable when putting them on. The length took a while to get used to too. The length is also a positive though as you can take them off and let them hang around your neck all day. With the AirPods, if you take one out, you either hold it in your hand or put it back in the case. This is often really inconvenient. If you're using an iPhone, these are even better because you can take advantage of the W1 chip. This offers easy pairing, better sound quality, and better connection. I have not had the signal drop once, except when my phone was charging in my house and I moved the car into the driveway, but it just cut out a little and came back when I was in range. I did actually experience some stuttering the other day when I had another pair of bluetooth headphones connected at the same time, but I think that was due to my phone being a little confused. I forgot to mention battery life and the microphone. People I talk to on the phone say the microphone quality is great, and I have no complaints either. The battery life is as advertised, and maybe more. With intermittent use, these last me from the morning until the evening with battery to spare. They never shut off on their own unless they're disconnected, but they do have great standby time. Positives for the Beatsx: -sound isolation -sound quality -magnetized for hanging around your neck -cable length -W1 chip (easy pairing, better sound, and connection) -microphone quality -in-line remote -battery life Negatives: -microphonics (cable noise) -cord length

I was looking for a pair of Bluetooth headphones that I could use while working in my shop, driving to work, and while I shop. I listen to a wide variety of music and podcasts. There are three main things I love about these headphones. 1. Sound quality is great. No complaints at all. Very surprised the first time I used them 2. Charging is incredibly fast. If my headphones are dead I can quickly throw them on the charger and by the time I eat breakfast and shower, the headphones are almost fully charged. For how quick the battery charges, these headphones will last a long time on one full charge. 3. The app is awesome. I have several different presets and I like to use them for when I switch my genres. I really like the podcast preset. Makes the voices sound great. Overall I would give this product a 9/10 because, although it's a high quality product, the price is a little high. You get what you pay for and the headphones are definitely solid.
