The JBL 5.0 sound bar is will not connect to the internet so updates are not possible. It will not respond to the JBL Bar Setup App. Pretty disappointing as i have two other JBL sound bars that work and sound great.

Got on sale after long poor history of samsung soundbars and was literally blown away by the sound quality. It is a beautiful compact piece that practically has an on board subwoofer and delivers clear audible words in the most intense action scenes. Loved it so much I bought another one. Before you say oh my tv is Samsung i should buy a samsung to make life easier this device was the easiest plug and play of any soundbar i've owned and with HDMI CEC no need for extra remotes just use your tv remote. Dont believe me? Watch Singham Again on amazon prime and tell me your current setup dosent leave you wanting.

OMG! This is my first ever soundbar. Did my research before buying and I’m glad I did. First of all for the price and quality it is truly a must have for you living room or movie room. The quality in music is amazing. Easy to set up and powered by JBL audio ! The best purchase I made in a while. Mostly all my music products are from JBL and I tell you they did NOT disappoint! A must have and get it for that unbelievable price, definitely worth the $400. I’m so glad I purchased it on sale for 169.99. Lastly what are you still here reading this, GO BUY IT!!!!

Wow! I know this is an older model and I bought it in 2025. However, I was not expecting the amount of sound base and clarity of this all in one sound bar. I got it on clearance/open box with a gift certificate so I paid 60 bucks For a $400 retail sound bar and it really does give the base that you want without even using a separate subwoofer. The newer models have included tweeters for a wider sound stage but this one with five full range racetrack drivers delivers excellent mid highs and lows. I have slept on this for years now, but I’m very proud of JBL for this product! Grab one while you can.

I like the size of it - smaller than my previous non-bluetooth sound bar. It fits nicely on my TV stand. It sounds good and works well with my smart TV. The remote control aspect is great.

This soundbar replaced a 5.1 soundbar setup that failed after years. I was iffy about its ability to replace a 5.1 system, but I didn't need or want a whole setup again and didn't need the sub. This soundbar is paired with a TV in my garage mancave so didn't want to spend big money. I'm very pleased with the results. The sound is good and loud. Spoken audio is still clear at high volume levels. It was easy to connect to the TV. Up and running in less than 10 minutes including training my Apple TV remote to control the audio on this unit instead of the built-in TV speakers.

Was looking for a decent priced soundbar since it will be in a smaller room and not to annoy my wife and was recommended this one as it was on clearance and so far very happy with it. Was easy to set up and everything is connected well to it and I haven’t heard any complaints so all is well.

Compact, good sound, can use TV remote, easy to install, no separate box to worry about.

Great sound for the price equals great value. Very simple to setup. I have an older tv (Samsung 2011-ish) with terrible, blown out speakers. It’s located in a smaller room and so I wasn’t looking for over-the-top volume or surround sound quality. This version JBL is perfect for what I needed. The sound quality is excellent and it’s plenty loud for the room. Fantastic value / product for the price.

This soundbar is replacing an older soundbar so I expected the sound to be improved, but I am amazed at the difference. This soundbar produces a rich and layered sound that is well balanced. The bass isn’t booming but is still very evident and greatly enriches the output. I tested it with a live concert movie, Saving Private Ryan’s D-Day scene, and video games, and all sounded full, lively, and crisp!

This is a really awesome speaker at a wow price. Syncs up with ease ( i have a samsung TV with eArc and atmos compatible) hdmi. Plugged ot in and voila! It started right up and works right away with tv remote ( Xfinity) Set up was easy, andbthe sound is really great. It was between this and a Bose sound bar ($140 price) this JBL is a way better product (im a bose guy)

Excellent product with great features and true to form JBL sound. The built-in Google Chromecast allows me to connect to other Chromecast products throughout my home. Its compact size allows flexibility in placement and can also disappear while still providing more than sufficient sound volume. I will be purchasing additional JBL 5.0 soundbars.

I was very surprised at the sound quality of this JBL 5.0 Soundbar. The addition Bluetooth is very nice. Set up & installation was easy. Mounting brackets were included in box which was a plus. Purchased this soundbar at a great price on sale. Very happy with purchase.

This all in one soundbar has much better sound than the TV speakers. It was easy to install and has built in bass no subwoffer. The setup has a feature to set the adjustments to adjust to the room size and type of furniture in the room.

At first I wasn’t to sure about purchasing a soundbar but this one exceeded my expectations! Great sound and easy to use!

Soundbar has really good sound with a decent low end. If you understand what you are buying whichnis a soundbar without a subwoofer you inow not to expect same performance butnit definitely carries a little punch for a small room for basic needs. Bought this for a guest room that has a smaller lg oled tv and obviously tv doesn’t have great sound. This definitely makes up for that in a room where you dont want a whole sound system. I would definitely buy again. Try to never pay full price and you’ll be happy

Pros: Amazing voice and instrument quality. Crystal clear sound. Easy Bluetooth connectivity. Cons: The bass quality is not good, not deep or very loud, even with the bass boosting option included with the remote... it sucks. Remote must be aimed very accurately for proper usage from afar.

Excellent sound for a soundbar! However, if you don’t execute the “tuning” process, the sound is considerably worse. The tuning sharpens up the accuracy and balancing a lot. I noticed when you go to execute the tuning, you need to initiate it immediately after installing the batteries into the remote or it seems to timeout. If the tuning is processed correctly, you will hear loud beeps repeatedly from each speaker as it goes through the process.
