    Put these in our new 2017 highlander which had a very anemic sound with the factory radio/speakers (non-JBL system). I left the factory head unit and just put in these in the doors/dash (3020 in dash). For the money, it was a great upgrade. It still needs a sub/amp for low end, but most people wont need it.

    Old ones were tattered--I've always liked JBL speakers--they have a solid kind of bass, not a loose, kind. They sounded so much better than the original speakers, tho how much of that is the fact they'd both pretty much blown their cones, I don't know. Install wasn't bad--You Tube has an amazing array of "how to" videos about nearly everything. Had 2005 Cobalt, broke out the old interior speaker, drilled holes in the plastic ring, screwed them in, connected the harness connectors which I also bought, plugged them in, dropped the speaker in, and put the screw back, and it worked like a charm.

    These are nice full speakers. Nice highs, mid and base. I have these are rear speakers in my truck as fillers for the focal components I have in the front.

    This speakers are an improvement from the stock speakers. They sound very clear and the mid bass is also great. To make sure that the sound is much clean add some basic sound deatening on the area of the speaker install, plus make sure the tweeter adapter gets moved to have the sound directed to the ears not your knees.
