Better sounding at higher levels. I will be getting a subwoofer to help with the low end as well. It is a very good speaker.

I replaced my factory Boston Acoustic front door speakers in my 2011 Camaro RS with these JBLs. I paired them with a Kenwood KAC-304 Amp. I’m not using the included tweeters because I also installed two Kicker KST25 Tweeters powered by a separate Amp. The midrange and bass notes these JBL components pump out are incredible when powered with an appropriate Amp. I read every review on these speakers that I could find before purchasing them. More than once it was mentioned that end users found them to be closer to 3 Ohm than the rated 2.3 Ohm. I strongly agree and suggest a minimum “2 Ohm stable Amp” with at least 50 Watts RMS and 150-175 Watts peak. They sound great with an average Amp but sound awesome when supplied with the appropriate power they crave. Even though most may be satisfied with the Bass from these components, I found that they were more appropriate for “fill” , especially mid-range. For that reason I adjusted the Kenwood Amp driving them to drive the mids. I then installed two powered Subs for Bass. One 600 Watt 10” under the passenger seat and an 8” 300 Watt behind the driver’s seat. A footnote; When installing these Componets in a car door, make sure to affix/mount them soundly! They will vibrate loose otherwise. I used sound deafening backing behind my mounts and a perma-seal glue gun on all mounting hardware. ROCK ON!!

I replaced stock speakers in a 2001 4Runner. I’m not a audiophile but I’ve listened to a lot of spekers. These are excellent and are nicely priced.

What an upgrade from the factory speakers in my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport! The sound is much fuller. The highs are crisp and the lows pack some punch.

Toyota Tundra have a unique speaker mounts (as most other large vehicles do). I replaced mine with JBL's from Best Buy that sound the same or better than original.JBL's for a fraction of the cost that it would have been from Toyota. I did have to cut the mounting bracket from the old speakers and mount the new speakers to it, This was very little extra work for a savings of $325. there are plenty of youtube videos to show you how to do this or you can have Best Buy install them and still save a bundle.

Much better than stock speakers. Did fill-in the cabin with good sound.
