The system is incredible and sounds perfect for my living room. The clarity of the sound and voice when there is lots of other noises going on in movies is amazing.

Great sound! Everything sounds so real. You can adjust the sound bar how ever you want and another cool feature is that you can take the speakers from the side and place them to the side/back and have a full so round system.

The best of the best! One year later and I am still enjoying this purchase with no regrets. The bass and quality of sound are top notch for the price. You won't regret it!

Great sound and design all around! Very Beastly soundbar, but it isn't a 9.1 channel. It's only a 5.1.4. the wireless feature is great, but I still just plug it in lol.

I was sold on this in the store, and for ease of use and the added surround it was great. However when I played music on it I was very disappointed. Even my much cheaper JBL system was better that I had given away. I am glad it pushed me into a 11,2 set up though as I missed having high end stereo equipment and now with IMAX like movie sound.

The bass is way too much even on its lowest setting. If you’re listening to music it’s great but it’s hard to hear people talk on movies and games.

The speaker setup has great sound quality and being able to place speaker wherever because they detach and are wireless makes even better sound quality .

Purchased the JBL soundbar while I waited for SONOS that was backordered. The sound was great and the bass was over the top fantastic. If I were to compare the two since I now own the SONOS, I'd say the SONOS was a better choice as it has everything that I wanted in a soundbar. However, I would have been thoroughly happy with the JBL had I not made my mind up from the start. Not to mention the bass that the JBL puts out I believe is superior to the SONOS sub and it's HALF THE PRICE! Also, I liked the true wireless surround speakers and the charge lasted a day may two but, I didn't like charging placing charging placing charging... yes, a small inconvenience and for the price, worth it!

I love it! It's immerses you in whatever you are watching. Especially if it is ATMOS quality. If it's deep bass you seek. Then look no more. This bar jams/thumps/bumps! Heck it rattles the windows. Movies, shows, or music no matter. It performs impressively! Only dislikes I have. No high or mid adjustment. You do have 5 bass levels. Only 2 pre-programmed sound profiles. Normal & Smart. Also chromecast setup was not the clearest. Especially the app itself. Glitchy. You can only chromecast music. Not Movies! Other than those things i just mentioned. I'm still going to say... I'm impressed. A bit over priced. But everything is anymore. Intense ATMOS sound & thumping bass

Overall this is a very good system to use with music, games and movies. I have had it for about 2 months and it works great. Battery life on detachable speakers lasts long enough for a days use, and I love the versatility of being able to put them wherever I want. I saw another review of a guy mentioning the sound quality was poor for music, but I think it sounds great for music as well. I just found a place I like to put the detachable speakers when listening to music instead of movies or games. I also see people saying the center speaker does not work well for dialogue, yet another thing I have not experienced. I am mainly watching movies on Xbox, Netflix, Hulu etc.. and dialogue has been clear without having to overly increase the volume. (FOR PEOPLE WONDERING ABOUT ATMOS WITH HIGH CEILINGS) I have probably 15-18ft ceilings in my living room which made me almost not purchase this system. Although I am not getting the full effect of atmos, it still doesn’t sound bad, and still adds more of an immersive sound just not what was probably intended. All in all I am very pleased with the system. The only thing I don’t like, and this may be from my tv (oled b7a) having ARC and not eARC. Is when I plug my Xbox directly to soundbar and then to tv in order to actually get Dolby atmos, I have noticed a slight bit of video quality loss which I really don’t like. It still shows I am getting Dolby vision and all that, but the video quality is definitely worse than when my Xbox is plugged directly to tv. So because of this I haven’t been using the through port. If anyone has any information or feedback about this issue it would be much appreciated. But other than that the sound quality is still great either way

I gave the equipment 3 stars because it took us weeks of trouble shooting just to find out it was a defective unit (the detachable speakers would not work while detached from main unit). We had to package the entire unit up and send it back to JBL to get it replaced. The replacement is working great. The sound is clear and the detachable speakers work perfectly. The inconvenience was frustrating. However, the customer service representatives were very responsive and committed to getting us a replacement.

The Volume of the rear speakers is a little low and they lose connection from time to time. Movies are 7.5/10 music is 9/10 for lack of a equilizer . I have hooked my system up with a optical instead of the ARK . My Samsung Tv Q80 allows the optical output while also being bluetoothed . So i use my JBL Partybox 1000's while watchign movies ... that experience is 11/10 overkill but awesome . T.v allows audio sync adjustment so its perfect . 3200 watt surround system haha

The sound quality is excellent. It totally transformed my living room into a movie theatre. The detachable speakers offer surround sound which totally offers a different level of experience.

Good sound. Need to use the voice optimization option for better voicr clarity. Hint hold mute for 5 seconds and press volume up button. Thank me later

I want to applaud this JBL audio system - 9.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos, I really like it, clear sound high frequencies, the quality is top notch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One powerful sound experience that is very easy to use. I've only had one issue which required me to unplug it and plug it back in as it lost connection with the subwoofer. The sound quality is amazing though.

I looked at many systems for my home and TV. Read all the specifications ..... Finally decided on the JBL 9.5 system I couldn’t be more happy with it. Got everything out the box, made all the connections, which was minimal. The Bluetooth connected seamlessly and works great! I really like the outboard speakers that detach , connect by Bluetooth , and the 10 inch subwoofer hits all my requirements and performs well. It doesn’t matter what I’m listening too. Orchestras, country, rock, the sub makes it all worth it. If you don’t have a system like this , you don’t know what your missing. I hope to have a 12 inch sub or add another 10 inch one day. Do you hear me JBL ?

This is probably the best speaker to buy for your television. It's has great sound and makes watching movies an even better experience.

Great System! The overall sound is super impressive and the portable surround speakers are so cool. I also love that you can charge them via USB if you don't want to reconnect to the sound bar. Set up is literally 3 plugs and you're done. Frankly, I took the unit back because for my place this system was far more than I needed. The bass is huge on this thing and I live in an apartment. I don't think you really can go wrong with this purchase. For a bit less money I got the Samsung Q850T and that sufficed for me with almost equal sound quality.

For the price you would expect a lot more features. Its very barebones when you compare it to other systems at this price point. Better display, better setup instructions and an adjustable EQ should be a given at this price. Lower priced offerings from other brands do much better in this area. The JBl 9.1 makes these short comings up in the sound which is amazing. The kicker is you really have to pair this with the latest technology to get the most from it. Get a TV that has eARC 2.1 hdmi ports and get a highspeed HDMI cables (48Gbps). I initally had this paired with a Samsung TV from 2011 and a hdmi cable that i bought back then and the sound wasnt any better than the $200 sound bar that I replaced which almost made me return it. I figured it was time to replace my TV as well and picked up the LG CX65 along with new highspeed hdmi cables (48Gbps) to connect my PS5. The sound was night and day after making these changes. Want some booming sound? Put the bass at level 4, Atmos at High, play an Ultra HD movie at volume level 18 and you will shake your neighbors house. The sound is unreal!! The wireless surround speakers are awesome. I love the fact that I can place them where ever I want at any time. The only issue i'm experiencing is the sound from the entire sound bar stops randomally after a while (while speakers are attached). Not sure what is causing that but I plan to reach out to JBL about that. I'm using the built in apps on my LG CX65 to get dolby atmos sound from the apps that offer it (Netflix, Disney +, Amazon).
