The soundbar needs work, it gets very loud for background noise but when it comes to hearing someone talking it really fails! Have to keep it loud to hear someone speak then BOOM background noise is so loud! I hope they have an update for it soon....

Posted .We're sorry to hear about what happened. Here are some troubleshooting steps for us to check your JBL Bar 9.1 Surround: 1. Try using a different source ex. (phone, tablet) and connect via Bluetooth for us to check if the sound of the soundbar would still be the same. 2.Try watching or playing music from different sources ex. (Netflix, YouTube, cable box). 3. Try connecting the soundbar to a different TV to check the audio. 4. Please make sure that the audio settings of your TV is set to Bitstream. If you need more assistance, please contact our customer support.

The volume can only be adjusted using the button controls on the soundbar or from the remote control of your TV and soundbar. There are currently no applications available for these functions. The set up for the TV took awhile to figure out and the satellite speakers run down pretty quickly. When the unit is in PCM mode. I can't get the satellite speakers to work unless they're attached to the main unit.
