After remolding my living room, I updated the furniture and entertainment center. My family and I went to Best Buy to purchase a Samsung Sound Bar but left with the JBL instead. I can honestly say that it is a decision I don't regret. The sound from the speakers is so crisp and clear, the bass is so powerful, and the options for a surround sound experience are impressive. Really good sound for $1000 soundbar. Has satellite speakers for Dolby Atmos. Great deal since it is now priced to sell - The bar 1300 is now the newest.

Picked up the JBL bar 1000. I was quite surprised. Room-shaking bass that'll give your home theatre setup some serious oomph. The sound quality is fantastic. It's not just about the bass - the overall balance is great, As far as appearances go, it's sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into my living room. Setting it up was a breeze. The detachable rear speakers were a big part of me choosing this sound bar - glad I did, they work great and no need to run wires or even power them! Ionis

This is another great JBL product. I look at JBL as the new Bose of sound. I tested this sytem in the store and it outperformed all other brands by far. Sound is crisp and bass is powerful. In an apartment, this is especially valuable as I now have surround sound. Temhe wireless speakers also have USB ports if you want to permanently power the rechargeable rear speakers in your home. Amazing sytem, worth every penny.

Our home has 9ft ceilings with an open concept living room, dining and kitchen and was concerned the sound would get lost in the space. Happy to say the surround sound is great! Love how we feel like we are in the action of a movie or in the middle if the woods with cricuts surrounding us. What a bass!

Very happy with the quality of sound, ease of moving speakers

The subwoofer works great , the overall sound of the system is really nice . If i had to give a negative remark about this system it would be that the satellite speakers don't hold a charge for very long and that the bose home theater system isn't that much more money. The bluetooth is extremely easy to connect to on the positive side. Overall not the best I've had but not too bad either.

Packed with enough power at 40 percent of volume to recieve complaints from neighbours if living in apartments. the base module make the music even more enjoyable

What can I say about this speaker set that hasn’t been said. The bass friggin bumps. The clarity is pristine. My only issue was at one point one of the surround speakers started getting staticky but I moved my router (they were on the same little table) and it immediately stopped. And I got an absolute KILLER deal on an open box. (I won’t say how much to make anyone jealous, just trust)

I bought this as an "open box" item during the BF/CB sale period. Before this soundbar, I had a Sony HT-S40R (Dolby 5.1) system. I wanted to upgrade the sound system to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. One thing I like about this system is the detachable wireless rear surround speakers. You can either have it attached to the main soundbar or place it behind your sofa. I have played quite a few Dolby Atmos "demo" content available on Your Tube and am very happy with the sound effects. The performance is pretty good for a medium-sized (16'x12') size room. eARC/ARC connection -- works as expected. Blue Tooth connection -- the unit has to be turned ON *and* in BT mode, for already paired devices to connect with it. Otherwise, the phone/tablet says "Connection failed." This is unlike the Sony HT-S40R which wakes up from standby and connects to my Blue Tooth devices without having to touch its remote! Holding back one star because of this feature missing in JBL 1000. It does have a RJ-45 LAN port but I have not been able to figure out its purpose. I could not find any online documentation nor did I find any settings for it on the "JBL One" Android app (still exploring it).

If you want surround sound without wires and speakers permanently fixed to your walls this is definitely the way to go. Great sound stage in regards to the rear speakers and calibration is dead simple. The app connects immediately to the soundbar during setup and using the eARC you don’t even need to use the included remote. The only thing I wish you could do is raise/lower the center channel audio, as I find that the dialogue is a little low and there’s no way to raise that specific channel volume. The rear speakers are physically connected to the sound bar via strong magnets and they charge quickly. Overall, good buy.

Love the speakers and love the different options that they have! Great sound and it differently makes are dogs jump when watching a movie. Love that I can Bluetooth my music to it and take a speaker off and move to another to while cleaning. Wasn’t even looking at this set but the guy who helped us had us old when showing us not to overlook this brand and he wasn’t wrong!

The sound is great and the Bluetooth speakers are a win. I love this sound bar system. Highly suggest it. Thing sounds good and feels well made. The speaker life seems really good too
