||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our reason for getting this soundbar was for enhanced sound when we watch movies or certain TV programs and not for news programs. Even though it advertised pure voice technology, we were wary that watching news programs and sports would cause distortion in voices and found we still preferred the TV speakers for these types of content. I really thought i could just turn the soundbar on when i wanted to use it. This is not the case. We found out it is not possible to keep the soundbar from turning on when the TV turns on. Everyone will tell you can control it with TV settings like CEC-HDMI or tell you to use an Optical cable that will disregard CEC. The reality is, sound bar doesn't care about these settings. It sits in standby mode and when it sees a signal from any device it turns itself on. There is no way to disable this "Auto On" feature. Now we just turn the soundbar off when we turn the TV on. Not a huge deal, but wish there was an option to turn the Auto On feature off. Had we know this, we would have bought something else.

It will not connect to my tv every so often and it’s becoming an issue to keep trying to re-connect it every time I turn my tv on.

Sub did not auto connect and manual does not tell you how to, so I spent a good hour and a half to finally get it going.

Turn off the system and restart it again. Good but it did it again. I wasn’t going to be turn on and off all the time. Return it.

The only downside to this sound bar is the remote, it looks and feels pretty cheap. But overall this sound bar is good for the price. Plug and play, it's that simple.

The soundbar sounded really good and delivered good atmosphere but when it came to bass it was really lacking in it. You would think a 10” subwoofer would sound better than a samsung 6inch subwoofer. Decided to take it back and put together my own klipsch system (don’t recommend buying from best buy as they charge more than klipsch does on amazon or their own website)

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. Our JBL Bar 500 has on option to adjust the bass level from Level 1 to Level 5. This will allow you to adjust the bass to your preference. Subwoofer placement also place a role on the performance, although low frequencies are non-directional, room acoustics like reflections and standing waves make placement important, with corners often being the most effective spot.
Didnt care for the sound qaulity

The subwoofer itself really didn’t do much of anything. And the sound bar gives me the same issues of the single sound bar that I currently have. It’s a powering on and off issue that continues to happen on its own even when you have the device powered off it wants to constantly keep turning back on. And it’s not much better than the sound of the TV volume if I’m being honest. I can’t recommend this particular item just because of my own personal experience it was returned
