I recently purchased the JBL BAR 500 5.1ch Soundbar with Multibeam and Dolby Atmos, and I am absolutely blown away by the sound quality! From the moment I set it up, I could tell this soundbar was built for a superior audio experience. Great sound and easy to set up but loses connection often. We have to unplug it to reset it. If I hadn't thrown away the box I would probably return it because it's annoying.

I purchased this for a elderly friend because she said she wanted to hear some booming base for her old music. I told here about the JBL speakers that I had and she only wanted a sound bar. Knowing JBL over many years and purchases I bought her bar 500 5.1ch and it was on sale. I went to her house and hooked up the sound bar and sub, she said it sounded heavenly! I was very surprised that an 82 year old women would want to jam that loud! The subwoofer is huge compared to other cheaper models and the sound was crisp, sharp and crystal clear and needless to say that sub rocked the house! JBL quality is fantastic and well worth the money. It does a great job with highs and lows. I would definitely recommend this product!

Nice sound bar, was really easy to set up. Sound is great and I like the deeper bass. Sleek looking speaker, Fits nicely at the base of my television. Makes listening to music fantastic. Able to hookup my iPhone and iPad to listen to music from them.

Fantastic. I've read every review possible and for my needs, this fit the bill. Sometimes, one needs to take the reviews with a grain of salt. There are so many dynamics involved. For me, the quality of the sound is fat, crisp and defined. Perfect size for our needs. Setup was a breeze and the app is nifty. One review claimed the sound for movies was "decent." It's better than decent. Another complaint was it downmixes Atmos. It's only a problem if you're trying to get Atmos to two TV's. Otherwise, who cares. I was able to buy the Bar 500 on sale and saved $200. Great deal at $399.

Purchased for use with a new Hisense U7 tv. I now have two of these sound bars. Both are in large rooms (20'x27') and the sound is excellent for basic tv viewing. The sub is more than adequate when placed properly. Poor placement of the sub will make it seem like it lacks power. Free app on Android is a great way to control the system. Connection with eArc port via HDMI is easy and works well.

Upgraded to this from a non atmos supported Sony and it’s fantastic. I’ve always been a Sony fan but I couldn’t come close at this current price point of $349 with Sony. We have a pretty standard sized living room and it does a really solid job on filling the room. The bass thumps and it elevates your movie viewing experience. Highly recommend at the on sale price but even at its normal price it would be well worth it.

so far so good. easy to use. the base box is awesome. i have got chance to use it at high volume but looks it works well.

Awesome sound that file tthe room.as if you had a fuil 5.1 system. For a fraction of the price. Plenty of Bass from the sun no matter the placenta in the room. And and set up is a breeze with the JBL one app

It's got great sound and we're glad we settled on this soundbar. We had a Bose which was very good but it had no subbwoofer. We exchanged it for this one which has the subwoofer and the subwoofer makes it so much better.

Absolutely the best soundbar I've ever had. The bass is incredible, and the surround sound is solid. Very reasonable price point as well at less than $400. Highly recommend!!

So had a smasung soundbar Q600 i think was the model number. Well ended up going out, within a year of purchase. The subwoofer started popping bad. Saw this on sale and had to jump on it. The calibration it has is amazing. The first time hearing it, i could believe how crisp and clear the sound was. Adjust your bass... knocked my display set off going all out loo. Great sound great connection. So glad went with this option instead.

I have tried a few different sound bars with speakers/subs and generally they are not very good when it comes to quality and sound. This JBL is just different it is amazing ! Sound Quality is amazing and the Sub is very powerful you can get home theater quality from this product. Even at low volume this system pumps ! you wont find a sound bar on the market that can compare to this trust me. Super happy with this product and will be buying JBL for future audio upgrades that is for sure !

Best Soundbar w/ sub for the price. I recently purchased Samsung and Polk and the jbl bar 500 is the best. I was hesitant from purchase initially because of people saying the bass isint enough but once you install the app you can increase it and it’s more than enough. I’m impressed!

My husband and I just LOVE the sound. The soundbar and the subwoofer really make a difference compared to our other sound systems we’ve had in the past!!! It’s like being in a movie theater watching a movie it’s got such clear crisp sound and it is such an amazing experience to have such a great sound system!!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone asking!!!

Great for the money we paid. Open Box deal. Hooks up to the network and allows basic equalizer settings. HDMI ARC and CEC work fine. TV remote powers on / off and controls volume without fail. The sound quality if better than average. It’s slightly clearer than the bar 300 we tried, the sub offers more Bass and exciting sound. However for a typical bedroom to add just TV intelligibility and volume could see most being very happy with the Bar300. If gaming or a more cinematic experience is preferred I’d definitely go Bar 500 or better. It’s our new Master bedroom set up.

Excellent value! I got it on sale for $299. Fantastic bass with the 10" sub and the soundbar itself is very loud. Use the App to tweak it. The low end will hit 32hz and this system will vibrate your walls making things rattle. It leans on the punchy side, but still hits the low lows. Like I said adjust the EQ in the app to hit the sweet spot for you. Great for movies, music, and house parties. The virtual Atmos I can't really say much on, but the side speakers bouncing off the walls creates an awesome surround experience.

Works wonderfully. Easy setup. Sound is perfect. Would readily recommend to anyone looking for a good yet economical sound system.

I’ve recently integrated the JBL BAR 500 5.1ch Soundbar with Multibeam and Dolby Atmos into my home setup and found it to be a solid choice for its price. The soundbar delivers an improvement in audio quality that’s noticeable, especially when compared to the built-in speakers of a standard TV. The bass is substantial enough to enrich the sound without dominating it, and the overall audio quality is clear and balanced.

This is by far the best Sound bar I've owned! Love it. The sound is incredible! The bass it provides is even more amazing and is what sold me on this set! JBL has already been a great sound product and this lives up to JBL quality and name! Movies with a lot of action come to life when the sound actually vibrates you from your couch!!
