Worth every penny! I bought this on a black Friday sale and use this for work. I work on construction sites all over the Eastern side of the United States and have had many guys compliment how good it sounds! It blows the dewalt radio out of the water as far as sound quality goes. The battery on the speaker is extremely impressive and lasts approximately 24hrs. I also bought two of the JBL smaller speakers so that I could use the Connect+ technology. The range with this is also very good! I can walk around an entire sheetz store with my phone and the music wont skip a beat. Very well made durable, waterproof, speaker that will get the job done for any event.

This speaker is a beast to say the least!! It's super loud everyone that has heard it wants one. Only issue for them is the almost $500 price tag. But to me it was well worth it. My only personal issue with the speaker is that it's unable to connect to the JBL xtreme which I have 2 of and apparently they use connect and not connect +. I will say Harman audio really made up for that issue tho. Thanks guys

The speaker does have an initial high price point but boy is it worth saving your pennies over. Speaker is LOUD, has nice bass, and stays charged forever. I was skeptical of paying so much at first (as almost 500 is a nice chunk of change to me) but I can honestly say I have gotten my money out of it. I initially bout it for floating the river with the family; which it is perfect for by the way. We just went to the lake with the family and while playing the annual volleyball game it kept the games entertaining! It worked out in my Jeep and could still had the tunes over a 350 with headers, and a 4 barrel carb. Moral of the story is: if you find yourself outside often with the family or just by yourself and need a speaker that can do it all this is the speaker for you.

Purchased over 2 weeks ago its a huge upgrade from my JBL extreme from sound and battery life. Love the BASS and clarity including the fact I charged it once since owning it.

I spent some time looking at and listening to a lot of portable bluetooth speakers. This packs the most high quality sound for the punch. Killer bass and great highs. Easily fills any room with sound and lasts me weeks of listening at work before charging again. It is rugged and waterproof, which came in handy during rainstorms. I really like the on board controls for remotely controlling the playback and volume with your phone. It's a bit heavy if you lug it around a lot, but it really does sound great.

I wanted a stereo system for my seadoo but it was going to cost over a grand. This actually tucks in nicely by my feat and sounds amazing. I have tested that it floats, and it does no problem but the sound gets muffled,which makes sense. Battery lasts forever. The bass is pretty crazy on this thing, very deep. I also use it in my truck now because my stereo went out. This was unintentionally a great alternative to a new deck. Bluetooth has been flawless. Kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I love this speaker so much! I’ve had mine For around 9 months now and It still astounds me every time I turn it on. The bass shakes the ground and yet it’s not at the expense of the quality of the sound. High quality sound with incredible bass. It does great in the rain. It floats! I take it out on the kayak and paddleboard without any worries. Battery life is great too! I mean it isn’t 24 hours like they say on the box but that’s to be expected. Charges my phone super fast. All in all the best impulse buy I’ve ever made. The way it syncs to other JBL speakers without any lag is just perfect.

It's big, bold, and powerful. I think it sounds great, just the amount of bass I was looking for, and keeps on playing due to the battery size. It is large, so its best when you can set it up in one spot, and leave it there. Great for outdoor activities we use it when fishing our front pond or out back in the roping arena. You can network it together to other JBL extremes, which was really neat. It's pricey, but worth it.

Awesome sound box with awesome portability and the battery life is outstanding. Occasional day to day use with low volume like personal use, the battery last five to six days! The louder you play your music, the battery loses power accordingly. Usually last about three days with occasional loud music before having to recharge the system. The Bluetooth range is phenomenal !!!

LOVE this speaker! I've had this over a year and it still works great. I was so surprised by how loud it can get. It isn't small, but the handle makes it easy to carry and use outside. Easy to use with bluetooth and I have connected it to a friend's to make surround sound which works great too! This is one of the better options I've heard if you are looking for good bass sound.

Easy connect, even with multiple speakers, and great sound!!! Lots of bass, even when out by the pool and we don't have to worry about having it too close to the "splash zone", which is nice. Have listened to music literally all day while working in the yard and even continued into the late evening relaxing by the pool and the battery was still at 80%. No doubts that it will last longer than we can in any 24 hours period without needing a charge.

You definitely get your money's worth with this speaker. It's not only convenient, light, water proof and easy to carry, but the sound and power that comes out of these speakers makes it worth it's price. I had taken it with me to a soccer tournament, and ended up using it for both music and movies for my son to watch. The sound is loud and clear. While my son was watching both Lion King & Good Dinosaur on the iPad (had it connected to the speaker via Bluetooth), I had the volume on "low" and I had to keep turning it down because it sounded like you had surround sound. If you are wanting a portable speaker that'll fill up the room, whether indoor or outdoor, this is the one to get. The battery will definitely last you all night and days. last time I charged it completely was August 2nd, it was used majority of the day that Saturday. It's end of August and I've yet to recharge the battery.

I know it’s a little pricy but worth every penny! I’ve had this for over a year now. Totally love it! The sounds is AMAZING! The bass hits pretty good for the size. I use it next to the pool (love that it’s a truly water prob product) for at least 1 1/2 hrs. a day and only charge it ones every two-three weeks. that is a truly portable speaker!!! Get it!

This is one of my favorite speakers made by JBL. I have played loud music for 2 years now and no issues with it. Good sound, decent bass, battery lasts a long time, water splash proof, can charge a device, one audio input, can also pair these with other JBL speakers, It also has a built-in mic for talking.

I bought this for my wifes cousin and fiancé. They hosted an I Do BBQ in their newish house. I thought this would be a perfect gift for them as he is a musician. Well, it was the hit at the outdoor party. The sound is full and clear. It has an outdoor setting which allows it to play lower with more bass, The battery lasted all day, and it never lost the bluetooth connection. JBL makes top quality speakers. Ive ow ed tower speakers for 30 years, and our family has bluetooth speakers everywhere. They are mostly JBL. If its in your price range, buy it with no regrets. Its awesome for all genres of music and plays loud if needed, and you can link your other JBL bluetooth speakers. Our.flip 4 linked right up and you have 2 speakers playing the same music. Needed a new portable speaker for a recent trip to the beach, replacing my older Bose Soundlink II. This thing is awesome. Easy to pair my phone/Bluetooth, and the sound is insane. Even with the volume at half-way, this speaker is loud, the bass is deep and well balanced. The battery lasted all day at the beach, (longer than my phone), and even charged two devices while bumping great tunes. Haven't tried to pair other JBL speakers for "stereo" sound, but looking forward to trying that feature soon. If you're looking for a light-weight speaker, this probably isn't for you. Don't get me wrong it isn't "Heavy" but it does have a bit of weight than other portable speakers...but to me, that is the sign of a quality-built, made to last product. I traditionally go for Bose speakers/products, but this JBL has me convinced.

Always looking for a loud and quality sound, Bluetooth are the hardest to find due to no walls to crate more bass. Regardless this speaker is exactly what I was looking crispy sound, great bass, waterproof and long life battery little high on the price but definitely worth it.

I loved it so much that I bought a second one. It sounds great and connects easy. Very loud for a portable speaker and it’s waterproof too. The battery last forever too. This speaker helped me switch from Sony to JBL.

Bought this speaker a month ago. I was never a big fan of JBL but I know that their quality of products seemed to have picked up so I’ve been gradually buying more and more of their stuff.. but this speaker is amazing. I take it to work every day, and it always gets some type of attention because of how it sounds and looks... it’s an amazing speaker for the house, work, backyard party anything really. I love bass and this speaker has it.. the mids and highs are really crisp and audible. Of course if you understand acoustics and put this in the sweet spot of the house or work area youll love it. The battery is also amazing... like I said.. I take it to work and use it at the house as well... the battery will not die. Even after continuous use and not charging it for 3 days straight. It still had a full charge... simply put buy this you won’t regret it one bit.

The JBL PartyBox only sounds great when plugged in to power The boombox sounds great when on battery and on a/c power and last 24 hours not 6~10 hours. Cleanest sound still is the Boombox I would know I also own the extreme 2.
