Looooong battery life. Super bass and volume with an inside mode for less bass. Waterproof we take it on the boat to the islands. Salt water doesn’t phase it. Great speaker

4.5 Actually......This portable speaker has amazing sound and the battery life is truly 5 star. I went away on vacation with this speaker and although I only used it 2 to 4 hrs a day I never had to recharge it. Just keeps on playing quality audio. Most of the time I play it low but when someone really wants to hear it just plug it in it will not disappoint. Unfortunately it is Bluetooth ONLY and does not have WiFi capability and will not sync with Echo Dot. Since I use it mostly around a house with WiFi, fir pit etc it would be nice to be able to just talk to it to play your audio library. For now it does a 5 Star job playing Bluetooth. Pricey but worth it so far!

Have had this speaker for a while now and we have not been disappointed. It’s rugged so we are able to use outdoors. Great sound and charge/battery lasts a good while.

great bass great sound overall, has an outdoor button that has less bass and projects sound more than when in indoor mode, it is pricey so i wasn't going to test out if its waterproof, have recommended this out to a few friends and they love it, great shop speaker as well, now they have version 2 which is a little bit better than the gen 1

This speaker puts out great sound.Its not heavy it’s portable.No problem with pairing or connecting to my phone. Speaker stays charged for awhile ...I’m satisfied with my purchase

Anybody that gives less than 4 stars, there is something wrong.. this is the best boombox .. superb.. that's all I say. Had this for over a year and it rocks..

We were looking for a new bluetooth speaker for our backyard where we spend a lot of time. I was a bit reluctant to spend the money on this boombox, but JBL is a good brand and there were a lot of good reviews. I was not disappointed. The sound quality is great. I can also move the unit quite a distance from the music source (usually my tablet) and it maintains a really good connection. A week later, I bought the JBL Xtreme 2 Portable speaker to connect with the boombox. We expanded the listening range even more. We can easily hear the music in different areas of the yard without blasting the volume.

Sound great, water proof, charge for 24 hrs... love these. They even link up to each other (and can up to like 100 of them)

I use this at work on a daily basis. That being said, I work in a loud plant as a welder, and I can hear it clearly. The charge lasts, but depends on the level of sound you’re kicking out as to be expected. I read a few reviews that said the bass was weak, it most definitely is NOT. If you’re trying to compare it to a home system, then yes it’s not as loud as a huge subwoofer, but what are you expecting from a boom box? I highly recommend this product, I also use it out on the water and at outdoor gatherings... never disappoints and always gets compliments.

Love this boom box!!! Great sound quality indoors or outdoors, the sound is crisp and clear. Has long battery life and its waterproof... Can't go wrong with this purchase.

honestly i was looking for a bluetooth speaker that wasn't gonna have me saying “wish i could go a notch or two louder” you guys know the feeling right? a friend has a jbl charge 3 yes sounded pretty great but we definitely caught ourselves saying “wish it was louder” lol i decided pay the extra bucks and boy let me tell you this boombox rocks the house at not even full volume! its on par if not better than the bulkier party speakers for sure. the clarity and bass on this bad boy is impressive! exceeded expectations in every fashion 5/5!

Great speaker to use inside and outside. The charge last very long and retains battery. Sound is exceptional. Its big but not clunky like other speakers. You could charge your phone as you play your music. Only issue I have is not having an equalizer to control my low mids and highs but I adjust that with my phone so it’s a 50/50.

This was my first JBL speaker. I did my research for a while and finally decided on buying the JBL boom box. While it was a tad bit on the pricey side; for the size that it is, it definitely packs a punch. I usually have it at about 15% volume and my friend tells me that it’s a little louder than what the neighborhood likes. I would say that it is a nice speaker to listen to in almost any setting. Wether at home, park, beach, and just about anywhere people won’t complain about it being too loud.

The JBL portable boombox speaker has amazing bass response. With its large battery it has a long power life cycle. It will last all day long at high-volume. The great thing about the unit is that you can pair it with other JBL compatible speakers to get stereo surround. The cost was a little high. Fortunately I had a store credit which reduced the cost but it might be pricey if you’re using it just it for day-to-day events. We used it outdoors for a Fourth of July celebration and it had great dynamic sound. You can use it at the park or on your patio and it sounds great.

The only speaker that competes with this is the XB90. This speaker is rugged, loud, portable, good battery, and good powerbank for phones/tablets.

Excellent battery life, excellent sound....extremely easy to use and set up....would definitely purchase again....

Needed music for outdoor use not near any power source this unit gives off incredible sound completely water proof and battery life is unbelievable

This speaker is amazing. Couldnt ask for anything else in a speaker. Sounds great. Water proof and it can charge my phone. Perfect outdoor speaker!
