    I am very unhappy with this purchase. I took the JBL Charge 3 out of the box, connected it to my iphone 6 plus via bluetooth and it never played clear from the very start. Extremely fuzzy, could not lower or raise the volume sounded very distorted. I am still trying to return the product, purchased it during business travel to Chicago, returned to the USVI and unable to get Best Buy to provide me with details for returning this product. Called the store the very next day of purchase and was told that Corporate has to deal with it. Finally got a hold of Corporate after waiting 45 minutes, spoke to someone explained the situation and was placed on hold for another 30 minutes. Very frustrated at this point and just want my money back!

    Non-instructive Instructions

    I was looking forward to this after extensive research. The instructions on setup are almost non-existant. Not a problem. I went to the company website. Got the same non-instructions there. OUCH. I downloaded the APP from Apple store. I used the app to try to connect. After connecting, I found I was connected to the charge 2, not the 3. Guess that is why it did not get set up. I could not connect to the phone or ipad or to the amazon dot. I ended up bring the speaker back. If you buy a JBL product be ready for non-instructive instructions.

    Not Waterproof

    I’ve had it for about 3 days and I have to say, the speaker is pretty great as far as sound and size. The 6000MAH battery that’s built in barely charges the phone and drains the speakers battery incredibly fast. The speaker is waterproof up to 3ft, but I submerged in in 5 inches of water for less than 2 minutes and the speaker stopped working. It made static and popping noises and kept turning itself on and off. Either the speaker I got was defective or it’s really not waterproof. Other than that I would recommend the speaker, but i would test it before you keep it.

    Bought this speaker 6 months ago and it really does put off good sound. The problem is that the speakers blew out after only 6 months of limited use. We maybe used it a couple of times a week and just for basic music around the house, nothing super loud. Very disappointed in the results as we really did like the speakers. I guess we'll have to get the warranty next time.

    JBL speakers are buggy and fustrating

    I've had my speakers about a year now, they've always had issues with audio distortion or not playing sound when connected to my Macbook Pro, but I'd usually just disconnect and reconnect to fix it. Now audio almost always distorted no matter how many times I reset or reconnect, and it'll say the speakers are connected but play no audio through the speakers. Really wish I went with a better quality brand.

    Battery doesn't last

    I bought this about 19 months ago and after fully charging overnight battery gives out after 2-3 hrs. Not even close to the 20 hrs advertised. After contacting JBL, they offered 10% off coupon. I paid $120. That almost $10/month. Expected better product, and then better than a $12 off coupon. See ya JBL you're not the only dog on the track.

    Don't Buy

    The reviews are lies. i bought this on the premise that it would last 20 hours. Well yeah maybe if you listen to it on the lowest volume possible. But who does? If you crank it at all 20 hours is a lie. More like 8 max. My cheap Jam Thrill did that and cost me $110 less. I thought maybe I got a bad one and took it back. Nope same thing on the new one. 20 hours is lies. Don't believe it. Save yourself $100 and buy a cheapie.

    The speaker itself is not loud enough to be used in settings where there are large crowds. The device is rather small compared to others, but I purchased it based on reviews. If you want to use it in a small room then it might be for you. I intended it to be for gatherings.

    What a disappointment

    This item is supposed to be water resistant. It's not. A very small amount of water got into my speaker and it's ruined. Also the sound quality isn't that great. You can hear the difference between JBL and Beats.

    No clear instructions on how activate the speaker

    I was unable to get the wireless speaker to work with my computer. The instructions that came with the speaker is minimal and of no use that I could find.

    Only worked for 45 mins, heard a click and it quit. Store let me return it, but I paid a little extra and got the Bose speaker. Love it!!!
