    Charge 3 was better.

    This review is coming from someone who owns the Charge 3. The upgrade to the Charge 4 isn't a smart move. The single off center driver ruins the sound stage that the Charge 3 accomplished so well. If the driver on the Charge 4 was centered I might not have an issue with it. But being set to the right gives the impression there's an issue with the speaker. Also the mono driver setup doesn't give you the same open sound stage that the Charge 3 gave you. Compressing the left and right channels into one channel makes for a narrow feeling when listening to music, its not a good thing in this case. It works well with the Pulse 3 since it has 3 drivers playing in mono, in a 360 degree setup, but not with the Charge 4. Having two smaller oval drivers in stereo would've been a better way to go with the Charge 4. Lastly the Charge 4 is stripped of a speaker phone function.....this is stupid since the music stops playing when a call comes in. It would've been smart to maybe keep the music playing at a lower volume or something. Or just leave the speaker phone function intact since its something I use on my Charge 3. Lastly the Charge 4 doesn't come with a charger like the Charge 3 did. So basically your paying more for a stripped down speaker......no charger, no speakerphone, no stereo driver setup.....the Charge 4 isn't an evolution but more of a step in the wrong direction. They had a good formula with the Charge 3 but ruined it with the Charge 4.....
