I have waited a little bit to put this speaker through the ringer and I highly recommend it. I have used this speaker in the woods and boating and pool party’s I love it. Pros - excellent sound quality - waterproof - LOUD - Excellent battery life - you can actually use the speaker as a power bank Cons - this speaker has at least in my opinion one Huge con the charger... while it is a type c charger that is fine but you can only youse jbl’s type c charger that is made for the speaker I know this cause I lost it’s cable after a week of owning rather than dealing with calling up I went on Amazon and just bought another cable for the speaker for $15

Great sound quality, punchy bass, multiple bluetooth connections, water proof, handy to take anywhere. Very pleased thus far, takes several hours to fully charge but it lasts for days.

This is a great sturdy speaker with incredible sound quality. I bought this for my 14 year old daughter and have regretted it ever since because she blasts it all the time! ;-) Seriously, this speaker is solid, weighs a tad over 2 lbs, and provides 30 watts of powerful sound. A booming base and very good midtones. It charges via USB-C (included) and is waterproof - a plus. I highly recommend this speaker, but also recommend hearing it for yourself before purchase as everyone has slightly different hearing.

Love this speaker! It does indeed have a very full sound with plenty of booming bass. It sounds clean and full at very low volume too. This was a great purchase! It will also connect with other speakers. I love the size - it's a little bit bigger than the flips, but it also sounds fuller. It has a squared "foot" thing on the bottom so it sits firmly, and doesn't roll around. I love the pretty red color! I haven't used it for several hours continuously yet, but the battery seems to stay up a long time. The sound is well-projected. Have I mentioned it's got a slammin' bass boom? I'm super happy with this JBL Charge4

Speaker has a very good sound range no hiding high, mids, and bass. The sound isn't tinny at all gets very loud for the size of the actual speaker and battery lasts a very long time. Passive subs are very good at getting the bass out but doesn't overpower everything.Bluetooth range is also very good. the app is a little funky at times but hooking them together if you have more than 1 is easy and sounds good as long as both speakers are charged and in range of the phone playing the music.

I've taken it to the beach, canoeing, and on my job sites. It's very durable and is water proof. The battery holds a charge for a very long time and I charge my cell phone off its battery. The blue tooth has a long range. It has great sound and Carrie's base very well without sounding distorted. Well worth the $119 I spent

This has great quality, gets really loud and you can even control it using the Apple Watch. This is the first JBL speaker I have ever owned and it’s great! Bought it for a great price, and it took about 3 weeks before I even had to charge it. Then it took like less than 2 hours to fully charge. It’s so portable and easy to use! Which is a plus for me. It’s not complicated or hard to Bluetooth. I Would buy again, I would even buy more and give them as gifts. Then my whole family could connect theirs and have an awesome party!

The best Bluetooth speaker I have ever used. Great sound. Sometimes the super bass trick would sound like it would probably blow out the speaker if you played it with max volume. Extremely long time battery life. It even has the built in charger pack that you can change anything of your accessories with the USB port for the charger. Capable of Bluetoothing multiple JBL speakers together and play the same sounds all throughout you home.

Very loud for use indoor, outdoors is fairly loud. Not the loudest speaker but good enough to use outdoors in a normal backyard. Not good to use a single one at big parties, you will not really hear it but will be more of a background music type of thing unless you connect multiple speakers around the place. The battery lasts a good amount of time unless you start charging things on it continuously. Bluetooth fades out and begins to be choppy after being over about 20ft away give or take. I used this for work outdoors in construction and it got wet and muddly a couple of times and still worked fine. The cloth does get dirty easily outdoors sometimes. Can be really loud and great surround experienced when paired with other speakers Could be sold for a slightly cheaper price, under $150.

20+ battery life for when ur on the move, small enough to fit in gym bag, clear sound, good volume-- could use a deeper bass tho-easy connect to Bluetooth- and have already tested the waterproof feature-- no issues. Love the speaker and love the price

The JBL Charge 4 is a great blue tooth speaker. I have a JBL Charge 3 and the 4 is a little larger and a little louder. I did have to upgrade the software for my Charge 3 to make them be able to sync and play together but that didn't take very long to do. I really do like having both of them now so we can use them separately in different rooms or together to have great stereo sound. What I love the most is how long it will go on a single charge!

I've been trying to find out a great speaker for my backyard or the beach. Honestly there are lots of options y I have try a lot of them. In this case if you want a great portable speaker, with good bass, great sound an lots of playing time this is a sure bet. It will even charge your phone and it is waterproof, an important feature if you use it as I do, next to the pool or the hot tub. You can go wrong with this great portable speaker. You can even pair it with other JBLs in different modes.

I wanted a portable waterproof speaker to pair with my iPhone and iTunes. After kayaking with a buddy that had a Flip 4 speaker, I decided to investigate portable speakers. When I researched these two speakers from JBL (as well as many, many other brands), I was sold on the JBL Charge 3. They are both waterproof, but side by side the Charge 3 boasted a bigger bass and sounded richer than the Flip 4, which seemed to have a slightly "tinny" sound (side by side one can hear the difference!). That's probably just due to size (size matters, (TWSS) in acoustics and physics), since the Charge 3 is larger than the Flip 4. At current time though, the Flip 4 has the advantage that it can pair with a 100 different Flip speakers and Charge speakers, but the Charge 3 (software?) may be limited at this time to only a couple other speakers. Aside from the sound, I conclusively decided that the Charge 3 was better for me (I'm not going to find 100 more JBL speakers anyway), because it not only had a much longer battery life, but it also was capable of charging my iPhone and other devices, similar to a portable battery! So far, this is an excellent waterproof and portable speaker. (Note, I have not immersed it in water, nor do I plan to, but I will take it near the water on many more occasions.) That said, I wish it had a tether or an attachment on it so that if it did go overboard, I can easily pull it back out of the water. I purchased this because one of my friends had a JBL speaker that sounded amazing. There are lots of fun colors. I didn't get the color I wanted the most, but I still like it. There is easy set up and connection with your phone or other bluetooth connected device. In just a few minutes, I was listening to a full, rich sound. Nice bass. The speaker can easily fill a room with sound. And it can charge your phone at the same time! I am very pleased with my purchase.

For me this is a no brainer, JBL has always made good products, and it seems Harmon/Kardon bought them? if so just makes even more sense that the speaker is so good. Its water proof to 3 ft, 20 hour battery, can charge your phone off it, & can even pair another speaker to have stereo. Very easy to use, had it paired to my phone in seconds & haven't had one issue, truly recommend it for anyone.

This is a great product if you are looking for a product that will sound great but not hurt your wallet. By itself it is loud, great for outdoor use or even indoors. A great feature is the fact that it’s water resistant so if you have it near the river or beach where it might get wet you won’t have to worry about it not working anymore. The best feature has to be the one where you can connect it to other JBL speakers to have your music amplified.

This has great sound clear it goes loud enough in a small back yard or in house . The woofers are on the sides wish it had metal screen over them for protection. quick connection BT it has some wait to it was surprised . With it turned up loud battery lasted 12 hrs I would say still that’s great and u can charge your phone with it . I’ve had it like a month and works great.
