Great bass, cristal clear vocals, water proof, portable, and rechargeable... PLUS A PHONE CHARGER!!! Cant beat it.

The sound quality and durability of this is AMAZING! It is easily transportable and I have tried it in several rooms including the bathroom while taking a shower and it continues to deliver quality sound. I even had it in my car to test it out and it passed with flying colors. I would recommend getting this product without hesitation. I like that it is water resistant and how easily it synchs up with my phone to play music.

Don't hesitate. If you can find them, (not on Amazon or Ebay) (Counterfeits a plenty) Anyway has great sound and life as well as you can connect multiple JBL's at the same time to surround you in sound at the beach, campsite or pool without basting everyone else out. If someone else near by is blasting their music you don't want to hear this feature is the cure. You can also charge your phone from the battery of the speaker. "Charge", it's in the name.

As a church-organist/choir director, QUALITY sound is very important to me. I've heard other such speakers that were cheap-sounding and tinny. For it's size, this baby puts our GREAT sound with lots of volume, and it's small and light enough to easily take on vacation or the beach or simply a picnic in the back yard. HIGHLY recommend it.

The sound is great, speaker is portable and waterproof. Can keep charge for a long time.

Enjoying my purchase while listening to music outside during the summer heat, even better that I don't need to worry if someone knocks the speaker into the pool. It was straightforward to set up, and delivers high-quality sound (I'll let the true audiophiles speak to that). My only quibble is that the Quick Start Guide is a bit too sparse, and it would be helpful to have more information on the JBL Connect app in the documentation.

I like the sound quality and size which makes it fairly easy to take with me. I have used it in my truck which does not have Bluetooth connectivity and taken it on vacation to the beach. Although my cell phone connected right away, it took several tries to get my wife's Mote e4 to connect to the charge 4. I do not know why but it eventually did and has continued to work well with it. It does not hold a charge for as long as advertised. Does anything? But the charge4 will easily last all day which is better than many other portable speakers, Although it comes with a cord for charging it did not come with a plug end for an outlet, so I use my cell phone charger plug to charge it.

absolutely love this speaker! I use it all the time, to both top off my cellphone battery while working in the yard while playing music or playing tunes while relaxing on the deck. nice rich bass and crisp highs. love the fact that you can stream music to two JBL products and get the true stereo experience! makes my garage sound like a concert hall!

So far so good with the speaker! Very loud, very clear, easy to control. It was able to charge my phone and play music at the same time. I only wish it had google assistant on it to play the next track when I tell it to. However, you can still use your google assistant on your phone and control the music and volume through the speaker that way, but you cannot make calls. Overall a great bluetooth speaker!

I love everything about this JBL portable speaker. I am a huge fan of anything Camo so this fits well. The sound quality is amazing, easy to connect to my iPhone and loud enough to use in a larger room to teach group fitness classes. I did buy a carrying case off of amazon to keep it from getting damaged while traveling with it.

I'm a big JBL fan, and the Charge 4 didn't fail to live up to expectations. Favorite 5 5 features listed below: 1) Sound quality is great. I wasn't thrilled about the single driver (sound only comes out of the front of the speaker and off center), but everything still sounds loud and clear despite it. 2) IPX7 waterproofing makes this speaker great for outdoor fun or singing along to in the shower. 3) The JBL Connect feature is actually pretty cool! I have a JBL Flip 4 (included in pictures for size comparison) so I haven't been able to do stereo mode since you can apparently only do that with 2 of the same model speaker, but even just being able to extend the audio to multiple speakers is fun and great for parties. 4) The charging feature is handy. Haven't used it a ton, but it's nice to have as a backup when you don't have any outlets around (battery life overall for the speaker is great so sparing some charge for your phone shouldn't be an issue). 5) I love that this speaker uses a USB-C connection to charge, very forward-thinking of JBL, wish more companies were moving to this standard faster. Overall no complaints aside from the single driver thing, and I've found that it's not that big of a deal. I've paid more money for worse speakers in the past.

Portable size, great sound, great bass and volume. Great in a dorm room and at the beach.

The JBL charge 4 is a great product. I found it to be initially disappointing due to the warm sound signature. I have found that the highs aren’t totally accurate but they’re close enough to not distract you from the music. The highs are present but definitely aren’t strong which adds to the warm signature. The mids are very good and exceptionally clear for the size of this device. Because of this, the vocals are great in most songs. They are well represented unless they sneak up on the high notes which is when you can hear a slight distortion from accuracy. However, the vocals which dip into lower range sound really good as the speaker does a great job not to put too much emphasis on the radiators making it sound bassy and unrealistic. If you listen to high quality hifi tracks you’ll be able to imagine the singer right in front of you because of the presence and sound stage. As for the mono speaker, don’t listen to the critics of this new implementation because most of them either don’t know what they’re talking about or they are just picking at it because they don’t like the thought of it. You’re not going to get stereo by using 2 speakers 3 inches apart like on the last model and as for separation, this mono speaker separates just fine if not better than the last model especially in mid to lows. The speaker gets plenty loud for the average person and it manages to maintain its dynamics all the way to just under full volume. I’ve compared this speaker to many others such as charge 3, xb30, xb31, xb20, extreme, onyx... and what I’ve found is that while the highs are a bit lacking in certain songs it certainly makes up for it in other departments. The bass is very good in the charge 4. The bass notes are represented accurately and it’s able to hit lower frequencies most portable speakers of this size can’t (20). However, it’s worth mentioning it’s still no sub. This speaker has trouble representing very low frequencies. The radiators start shaking instead of making music which for those of you who don’t know (this doesn’t sound very good). The battery life of this speaker wasn’t as advertised and I found I could only get 9 hours on 60 percent volume which isn’t bad but is a huge deviation from the claimed 20 hours. After using this speaker for awhile and comparing it to other speakers, I’ve actually grown fond of this unit and it’s become my beach toy. Don’t take any critics in this review too seriously as I doubt most people are 50% as critical as me when it comes to audio but this one gets my thumbs up. Future improvements would definitely require a tweeter and possibly a bigger battery.

Love this speaker, watch movies on my laptop but Nolan’s Batman sounds so much better when it has the nice base this speaker is capable of. Buddy had one that inspired my purchase, even my ex-gf bought one after I moved out she liked it so much. I’ve dropped it, gotten it soaked, and the blasted it for hours and it can’t be stopped. Great quality product!

I purchased the Charge 4 last month and so far have been very impressed with it. Great bass, great sound. The only concern I have with it, I think it would be very easy to lose the charging cable. It’s a separate cable but it does say JBL on the plug. I think what I’ll do is take a rubber band and attach the cable to the speaker with the rubber band. Easy to set up, good instructions.

Love this speaker small compact and packs a good punch for its size. We take it to the river with us and place it on the side and it can withstand water and has great sound for being so little. Want to buy another one when they go on sale again because you have the ability to pair multiple together and sync them definitly a good little speaker that I would recommend.

So I bought this speaker for work. I work in a plant with a lot of noisy machines and wanted something that would be portable , but also loud enough to hear over the machines. This speaker does it! The bass is hard and the sound is clear. For those buying for your home you won’t be let down either. I live in 2 story 5 bed house and you can hear this speaker throughout the entire house! Highly recommend! Very satisfied!
