Recently bought the UE Megaboom 3 and was greatly disappointed by its mediocre sound quality. Went back to the store and decided to purchase the Charge 5 instead. Finally got it out of the box and played some music and was instantly amazed by the sound quality of this thing! The !JBL Charge 5 put the UE to shame! It made the Megaboom 3 sound like a toy/can. Definitely one of the best purchases by !JBL I've made!

Excellent sound and all you need for beach travel. Much easier to pack and carry around vs the larger ones. The tiny one was not enough / the larger size no fun to pack and carry - this size is just right. Also bought the carrying case with a strap for $20 to hang it on chairs etc while on the beach.

I would 100% recommend these. I would say buy multiple if you have a big area and maybe some smaller ones and you can have yourself some real good sound.

The charge 5 is a good utility speaker for in and out door usesge. The music is clean and clear with great highs and lows that let the voices come thought unmuttered with thumping bass that makes listening a pleasure.

Keeps the vibes nice and groovy. good sound and decent bass for the size.

Had this speaker for about 2 months, VERY LOUD speaker for its size, I love it!!! Even louder when sitting vertically instead of horizontally.

This sure is one loud speaker. I had to pump up the volume just to see how loud it can get and it didnt let me down. Everything i could ever want in a bluetooth speaker. The fact that it charges other devices is the icing on the cake.

Still loving the sound quality of my JBL Charge 5 Bluetooth speaker! Great speaker for the price! Upgraded a smaller JBL for the 5 …still sounds amazing! Listening to it now while enjoying this beautiful sunny day!

It is of good quality, I really enjoy when I have a meeting with friends and family. It is a speaker that emits a uniform and very pleasant sound.

Bold, crisp, JBL Pro-Sound -- It goes super loud. -- great surround sound fun when paired with other JBL speakers and PERFECT for outdoor use.

This speaker is compact, but packs a hefty punch! Sounds great for around the house chores, yard work (it's dust resistant), grilling or just hanging out. My wife and daughter use it when they're showering as it's water resistant as well. It's surprisingly loud for its size and the bass is just right for the type of music I play on it, which is rock, classic rock and metal. I use an iPhone with it and keep it on the rock equalizer setting, which works for me.
