    Good sound, bad build quality

    I recently bought these headphones because I saw many good reviews on them, but they all failed to mention the build quality. After about 4 months of use, one of the pins holding one of the ear cups to the headband fell off, making the headphones unusable. They are made mostly out of plastic and they feel cheap. The sound is very good. It has rich bass and doesn't sound too muddy. Hopefully JBL makes their headphones more stronger with the next model.

    I bought these headphones for my wife for Christmas. She rides the subway every day to work and needed some noise cancelling headphones. For the price, the sound and noise cancellation work great. For conducting phone calls, not good, but it does work, technically. Making phone calls over BT with these was probably an afterthought but again, it does technically work. The main problem is that after 6 mos of normal use, the hinge pin fell out from one side and you can't put it back in. It's a terrible design. They're going to send me out a new set since it's within a year, but what a hassle. And it's going to take about 3 weeks. My advice would be to pay more for a better set of headphones that are going to stand up to daily use, or buy the protection plan from best buy, so you can just swap them out for a new set when they inevitably fall apart. I normally don't advocate for protection plans but right now I sure wish I had one...
