Poor Fit & Connects to Accounts W/O Authorization

It was simultaneously overly tight/pinchy & annoyingly loose & floppy. On top of that, I was extremely irritated to find that the buds 100% unnecessarily linked to my Google Account without my authorization during Bluetooth pairing. I fully recognize that the buds can be used to access voice controls but that ought to be my decision to link to an account, simple Bluetooth pairing doesn’t need account linking. This is a disgusting intrusion by JBL, even if the fit wasn't an issue, I would be returning them on general principle of the matter.

Posted .Thanks for your feedback. We're here to help. To achieve the best seal and a secure fit, you must create a tight seal within your ear canal. To do this, angle the ear tip slightly downward to make it easier to insert into your ear canal, gently twist the earbud to fit it securely into the shape of your ear, and continue twisting the earbud into your ear canal. You can also try different sizes of ear tips that came with the headphones to see if a better fit can prevent them from falling off. For your authorization issue when linking google account, some Android phones come with a Fast Pair feature that simplifies Bluetooth pairing for certain devices. It's possible that during pairing, the Fast Pair feature automatically linked your Google account to the JBL App Headphones App for features like Google Assistant access. If you wish to disable this feature, you may look for Google Fast Pair option in your phone's Bluetooth settings and disable it.

What should I expect for $100?

I’d be perfectly happy spending another $250 for a new set of B&O earbuds if you spelled them. My last pair served me well for 6 years.

Posted .We appreciate you letting us know. Here are some troubleshooting steps that can help isolate the issue. First, forget/unpair the headphones on your device then manually pair the two earpieces together by taking the earbuds out of the charging case, then tap three times simultaneously. Next, reset, while charging, press and hold the button on the right earbud for more than 5 seconds. You may need to 'forget' the headphones in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair them again. If the issue remains, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
