The bass is very low and I have to turn the volume up all the way in order to barely hear a person when I am talking on the phone. The headphones also sound funny after I've used them while in the shower, it's like they need time to dry out.

Our JBL Endurance Race TWS comes with a different sizes of eartips and enhancers that you can try to see which best fits with your ear. In order for the headphones to give you the best audio response, you must create a tight seal within your ear canal. The noise cancellation is non-existent. I needed them for work and they’re useless when machines are going and/or a lot of people are talking at the same time. I do like that they fit well and work well at the gym.

The reason why the volume decreases every time you are in a loud environment is because of the Ambient Aware feature of your headphones. To turn it off/on, simply tap the left earbud once. I have small ears and even with the hook and smallest earbud they kept falling out. Sound was just ok not much base even with the app controls. I did like the feature where you could make the sound quieter to hear around you. I also liked you could make a noise to find your ear buds in the app.

Bought as replacement for dead airpod for use when running. Cycled through all the earbud sizes included but they keep falling out of my ears when running. Ended up returning and purchasing Shokz Openruns. The JBLs would work better for you if you are not planning on using them during exercise.
