    Buy a different speaker

    I thought JBL made a quality speaker. I couldn't have been more wrong. Bought the JBL flip 4 after reading revews. At first was very impressed with the sound. After just 10 days my speaker would not charge without wiggling and taping down charging cord. Did more research after and found that charging problems are more common than I knew, incuding speakers that won't charge at all. Wish I would have spent my hard earned money on a speaker that would have lasted more than 10 days. Very disappointed JBL. Will not buy a JBL product again.

    I bought this JBL Flip4 in gray on Jan 7th 2018 after previously buying a black flip4. Love the sound and volume on this speaker. Pretty cool setup with two of them in the shop. Only down fall is it lasted three months, now it wont turn on or do anything. Pretty crappy from such a popular company. Have not been able to get help with this item being defective, going to try again tomorrow. I didn't get the extended warranty on this one like I did the black one, go figure right...

    I would give 5 stars but the start up sound is like a rocket blasting off in your home. It is high decibel and painful. It scares the life out of the children, pets and neighbors in our apartment. Heaven forbid you turn it on when people are sleeping.

    Mult-speaker doesn't actually work

    Bought specifically for the 100 ft bluetooth range and ability to link multiple speakers. Can't even link two speakers in the same studio apartment room (maybe 20 ft apart) without one of the speakers constantly fading to silent, then coming back, then fading again a few seconds later. Total waste of time.

    Worked for 1 day. Speakers blew out. Sounds like a vibrating piece of junk. Best buy won't allow replacement even though I got the 3 year service contract. Have to send to manufacturer which still hasn't returned it. 4 months still no speaker.

    Stopped holding a charge

    I loved the sound but unfortunately it stopped holding a charge. No matter how long I charged the speaker, and even with it showing all lights on (fully charged), once turned on it only lasted a few minutes.

    Speaker no longer turns on!

    I purchased a pair so I could utilize the JBL Connect. The JBL Connect worked great with my iPhone. The paired speakers sounded great, however within 2 weeks of purchase one of the two speakers no longer turns on.

    Quit working 10 months in and no response from JBL, speaker started rattling then wouldn't take a charge or power up. Submitted a service ticket with JBL and no response.

    Really loud, great sound quality, but has about a 45 minute battery life and then a five hour charge time. Literally one of the most pointless items I have ever bought.

    I bought this for my son for Christmas. It hasn't even been a month and it no longer works. It won't turn on or charge. It does absolutely nothing. Wasted my money on it. Very disappointed!
