    JBL Flip 4 is not worth it

    I have gone through a few of these speakers and they all seem to have a frequency response issue. Certain songs will cause the speakers to distort and crackle. On top of that, the speaker doesn't come with a wall plug, just a wire. They expect you to charge off you're laptop or have a random charging cube laying around. Also the battery life is not that great either. They die fast and cant charge while they are playing. I highly recommend going with the charge 3. It has all the charging components you need, it plays at full volume and still charges, and you can charge you're phone with the charge 3!

    Good sound but sleep mode is a problem.

    Bought speaker to use as a monitor for a musical instrument for a high school band. Had to have store open package to determine that the speaker has a aux. input. Using the input because any lag would be unacceptable. The speaker has good sound but goes to sleep after a few seconds of silence. When play starts again the first note is not heard. Should be some way to disable the sleep mode. We cannot use the speaker as intended. Will have to find something else.

      Thank you for your review. Most of our portable speakers feature a power saving mode which will automatically turn the speaker off within 8-10 minutes without any activity.     Very unrefined sound. I bought two for stereo. I ended up returning one of them because the stereo connection was finicky. I still might return the one I have because of how bad it sounds. Surprising volume of bass for its size, but inarticulate and sloppy. Highs are too bright for my taste and midrange is not smooth at all.

    The speaker is ok. It sounds nice and pairs easily with other Flip 4's for listening in multiple rooms. However, after having it a little over a month, the speaker has stopped working. It will not power on or hold a charge. This was my first non-Bose wireless speaker and will be the last.

    Stopped working

    Stopped working after 3 months. Doesn't charge or play sound. The Led lights near the charging port doesn't light up when connected to charging unit.

    i tested this flip 4l vs ihome "weather tough" and wow the ihome wins overall has a lot more bass then the flip 4 and its much cheaper too.

    I purchased this one as a second to my first but had to return it as when I connected it the speaker was not playing well. It was intermittent at best
