    Nice Speaker, Versatile but returned

    Tried it because it was on sale. I've had a JBL speaker and headphones before and know they can sound great! This particular model was small but felt solid. It connected to my phones and tablets easily. I did not install a JBL app for additional features. I returned it because after playing the same songs on this against my Sony XB-20, I preferred the Sony's tone. It was more mellow and robust to my ears. The JBL was good, can be loud and still clear. It was just a bit too bright for my preference. It also advertises being water proof but the woofers sit at the ends of the "tube" shape and move in and out, I guess to vibrate better. There's no screen or anything to protect. You can push them with your finger. This made me a little leery of their durability (like sand getting in the mechanism?)

    Problem with the App also when pairing 2 together

    The speaker sounds great for a small speaker the only problem is when pairing 2 speakers together the JBL Connect App has a problem recognizing the other speaker so u can put it in stereo mode also when the two speaker are paired together one will drop out every one else in a while .Thats why I bought 2 speakers so I can have them in stereo mode but I'm having problems with that ,so I will be returning mine .Hopefully JBL with correct this issue other wise the speaker is great when working

    I really expected JBL to have a really good quality and clarity of sound, but it’s not whatsoever. Bose definitely surpasses this speaker on clarity and crisp sound. JBL has just a slight bit more bass and can pair with more than one speaker which you’ll need to do if your looking for some good music. If you turn it up to almost full volume, about 2 clicks up on your cell phone it’s blows the speakers. Also, have to be extremely careful of the ends of the speaker as that’s where the subs are and you can really mess it up I’m sure. Overall, I’ve had speakers sound the same it even better that are half the price off amazon.

    Good sound, great concept of linking them together, but too many hiccups with the Bluetooth chain and app. Speakers fight over which one is the dominant speaker and difficult to switch among other Bluetooth devices. Must restart apps because of inability for device to reconnect seamlessly. Doesn’t recognize both speakers when using two units. Significant lag when pairing with TV. Maybe a great product in terms of the simple using of a Bluetooth speakers, but other than that the admins are a hassle and not worth the money. Overall good sound.

    Decent Speaker but bad Stereo pairing mode.

    Decent sound but the Stereo Mode (Two Speakers) is glitchy, takes too long to setup and doesn't let you set it as Default. The Stereo Mode doesn't work with Laptops, only Phones/ Tablets. User's documentation is lacking / shallow, so you are on your own exploring how to properly use these speakers. Also there is no speaker battery status on the phone, all cheaper BT speakers / headphones I've used shows battery status. One speaker came defective since had issues reproducing certain high frequency sounds.

    Wait for better software

    Bought to use at work, as we could listen to our own music in our area. After just a couple weeks, the charger stopped working. After a little over a month, the longest charge it’d hold would be at most 6 hours. Odd thing is, it works great at home and seems to stay on up near the 12 hour “limit.” For the light colour, it doesn’t “dirty up” all that much. Which was something I was worried about after I started using it. While it started disappointing me in the beginning, I’m still glad I purchased it. It’s a complicated love/hate.

    love the sound, but buy the warranty

    I received my 1st flip as a gift and love, love, loved it … then it acted up about 16 months later, but thankfully my friend bought the warranty … and so it began … I believe I am on my 5th flip, I had the 1st version twice. I still love the sound, and I am not hard on this device at all, but each one only seems to last just 1 1/2 to 2 years before something goes wrong… so although the Best Buy warranty is not as good of a deal as it used to be … it is a MUST with this device.

    OK Guy Ritchie movie

    I was definitely excited to watch this new Guy Ritchie movie since he's one of my favorite director's. The movie was OK from beginning to finish. However, it seemed to go by too fast for me in the sense that there was a lot going on in the movie and not a lot of character development. Because of that element for me, the movie was not bad but not great either. I'd probably stick with renting it, unless you're a super fan of one of the character's in the movie, then by all means, get it!

    Charging Issues

    I've had my latest JBL Flip 4 for about 3 months and starting to have charging issues. It won't charge all the way even after keeping it plugged in for 10 hours and even has a hard time making a connection. Will trade in once again but this is my 3rd JBL having charging issues. The sound is still great but can't get more that 2 hours playing time anymore.

    One speaker works really well. Clear, clean sound, and decent volume. I bought two, in order to sinc them together, and they become very glitchy. The stereo option basically doesn't work. Some devices seem to sinc a little better than others, but you still have to often fight with them for 5 minutes to get them to work correctly. If you need one, I recommend. If you need two, keep looking.

    Great sound quality - loud enough for my dance classes for now. Good starter bluetooth speaker. I wouldn't bring it to a dance party but maybe use for a small intimate backyard party. Expected just a little more for my money...just a little, like for instance no matter what setting my phone is on (vibrate, etc) calls and text messages will go through. Then again, it could be my phone..

    The JBL - Flip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is compact, powerful and simple to use. Setting it on bluetooth was a snap and the cost was fair. If I had to single out one drawback it would be that the Flip 4 did not come with its own recharger ! That seemed a bit cheep. If you don’t have an extra USB charger, you’re going to be out around 20.00 to purchase one. With that in mind, the price wasn’t the great deal I’d hoped for.

    Sound quality is okay. Bass is pretty good. (The speaker actually fell off my dresser a couple times because of the bass.) But after a while it started sounding tinny and scratchy, haven't even had it that long...few weeks maybe. I like the JBL Clip better even though it's smaller. More reliable than its bigger counterpart.

    Great but not so great!

    I purchased this cute speaker and used it for about a year and then it started to make a cracking sound and would turn off. Conveniently small size and easy to use but unfortunately did not last long! I never got it wet or mistreated . Manufacture warranty is for a year but that is when it went out.

    Had bought JBL. Liked the sound quality. Compared it with my Friends Bose Color. Found Bose to be better and decided to replace JBL with Bose. Considering the price difference, it becomes a personal choice to go with JBL or Bose. JBL is not too far behind in my opinion.

    Disappointed

    I have a Flip 3 and have been very satisfied with it. I purchased the Flip 4 thinking I could pair it with the Flip 3. You can not. Ridiculous the firmware on the speakers is not compatible. I returned the the product.

    Love the sound but the battery...

    I use these things daily as my truck radio stinks. Battery lasting time drops dramatically after a month. This is my second one...first returned for battery issues. New one falling to last more than a couple hours and charging doesn't always seem to work.

    Loud and lightweight

    This speaker was nice and loud, it’s water proof, had a long range. Overall, I liked it. But the deal breaker was that it didn’t get quiet enough. I’d bring my speaker to my office and I had to place it on the floor in the corner so I didn’t disturb my office mates.

    JBL is known for good speakers but needs to upgrade on their battery life and charging. Best buy is awesome for their returns which i'll be returning my recent speaker as its not taking charge and running low within 10 minutes. sounds is good and reason i keep getting JBL.
