These aren't going to blow you away, (they are not terribly loud), but the sound quality is good and I have not had the connectivity issues that I have read about regarding the previous generation / iteration of them.
The clamshell case / charger is much more convenient to carry around than I expected and holds a charge for as long as you will likely need it.
Finally, I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the microphone as I have had no complaints during phone calls and I use them regularly for work.

Sounds is average. Take time to connect with android or iOS devices (Delay time anywhere from 15 to 50 seconds). Can only work with 1 ear for phone calls. The pair will only work if I am playing music (So bizarre).
Less than 4 months after I bought the item, the right earpiece cover already separated from the based, leaving a 2-piece earpiece that I may need a glue to keep them together (no fall of the earpiece recorded that could explain such issue). Will attempt to return for exchange. Not sure if Best Buy will allow it.

JBL is known for making good headphones and I am happy to say that this is a great pair of true wireless earbuds. Let's talk more about them and why I found them to be great.
I tested them out for about two weeks and I think thats more than enough time to form a proper opinion on these buds. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from these earbuds because they are so small.
I am very surprised by the performance and sound quality. I have used my JBL in various types of settings and I am happy to report that I haven't had a single connection issue yet. I have maintained a solid connection while on the train, outdoors walking around and at home where I have multiple wireless devices.
Sound is good I am honestly shocked with the sound quality out of the box. With no changes to the sound profile. These buds don't sound tinny and have a decent amount of bass to them. Bass isn't going to shatter your ears but they are good enough.
Controls are good the left bud skips tracks, the right pauses music and answers and ends phone calls.Phone calls are clear and I haven't had any issues there. The other party heard me just fine despite the fact that I am soft spoken.
Battery life is roughly 3 hours without charging the buds which is better than advertised. With charging them in the case I got three charges.
:::Pros:::
- Good battery life
- Clear phone calls
- Touch controls
- Charging case is sturdy
:::Cons:::
- No smartphone application
- No USB C on the charging case
- I would like a more snug fit in the ear.
Overall these JBL earbuds are great at what they do and that is play music or videos, and phone calls. All in all these are a good buy if you want something reliable and easy to use. There is a lot to like and very little to dislike.

Great in-Ear headphones. They were on sale $50.00 off the regular price. And still on sale now $149.99 on sale $99.99.Nice wireless headphones. The battery lasts a long time. I have all my music on my old phone so that's what I paired these in-ear headphones to. You won't be disappointed.

These appear to be fine earbuds, except for 2 issues:
1) Build quality is cheap (not surprising, but troubling nonetheless)--see the photo where my right earbud fell apart, while on a call.
2) Phone calls are only transmitted through the right earbud, rather than both left and right. This was not readily obvious on BestBuy.com when I purchased them, and I was disappointed to learn this upon setting them up with my phone.
Other than those 2, they're fine.

This is a great sounding unit. The Harmon Speaks truly sound amazing. This unit also fit/feels great in the ear and it stays put unlike some other totally wireless competitors. I also like that you can use just one ear piece should you be wearing it at work like myself, the other one just remains off in the charging case. The right ear piece is the dominant one and will need to be the one you use when only using one ear piece. My only dislike and the reason I give it only 3 stars is because the battery life is below industry standards. I listen to music and low to mid volume and I get 4hrs if I’m lucky, which is why I say it’s a great product for those who are working out or don’t some short 1-2 hr activities. One bonus is that when placing the ear piece in its charger case you have 1 hr of use after only 15 minute of charging. All in all I don’t regret my purchase and will keep rocking out with these bad boys. They are also sweat and water resistant

Wireless is Amazing, But Poor Physical Design

Using wireless headphones / earbuds is absolutely incredible and, not being tethered or having your movement restricted by cords is truly freeing. While the wireless experience is incredible overall, I don’t believe that JBL took the appropriate time to design earbuds to be comfortable, or to fit well. JBL did not make any effort to ensure these buds stay in your ears. They are bulky and insert just as any average pair of earbuds – no rubber hook, flap, etc. Just press into your ear and hope they stay in place. If you have every had difficulty keeping earbuds in your ears – these will absolutely have the same problems.
…They are very large and the weight sits high, causing them to tip slightly outwards. For me, this means they fall out of my ears. And, without any cord holding them together, an individual earbud simply crashes to the floor. This is a huge problem for jogging, cycling, snowboarding, etc – as it means they are very easy to lose. I would recommend wearing a beanie / tuke / knit cap that fits over your ears as it will help prevent them from falling out.
I believe that JBL is 100% aware of how huge these earbuds are. On the package, the pictures show a girl with long hair that is completely covering her ears. They are literally hiding their earbuds in their promotional photos.
The batteries usually last about 4 hours before they need to be charged by the case that comes included. The case itself can charge the earbuds 4 or 5 times before it needs to be charged itself. The battery life is decent, but could definitely be better. 4 hours is just enough to get me through to my lunch break – at which time I return them to the charging case. The 1 hour of charging is usually enough to get me through to the end of the day (although I frequently have to take the out when I receive phone calls, or have to talk to co-workers).
The wireless range is appropriate (about 30 feet from my phone). They are as comfortable as average earbuds, except for the fact that to change the track, or to pause – you have to push a button that presses the earbuds into your ear (which does not feel great). While you can pause & skip tracks, there does not appear to be any way to control the volume from the earbuds themselves. Also, be aware that you have to push these earbuds deep into your ears to get them to stay in place, which means that you cannot hear much of anything even when your music is paused. If you want to be able to ear somebody talking to you – an earbud will need to be removed.
The audio quality is good, but bass is lacking and I don’t feel as though they get particularly loud. Luckily they muffle out most ambient noise – which keeps music sounding pleasant and mostly uninterrupted.
If you have never used wireless headphones before, you will probably be blown away. But, JBL should have actually worked to make sure these truly fit nicely (and stay inside of) the ear. For me, they simply do not stay in. If you have never had any issues with earbuds falling out, and if you never listen to music for more than 4 hours, you will greatly enjoy these wireless earbuds. Sadly I just can’t keep them in my ears.

These JBL - FREE True Wireless In-Ear Headphones really rock! They sound fantastic, the look great, and the feel very comfortable.
Having completely wire free headphones these days is pretty much a must. They need to be lightweight and comfortable, have a good battery life and be able to work in extreme environments. These JBL manage all this in a stylish and convenient package.
Opening the box, you have a charger/carry case, the two ear pieces, a charging cable and the instructions. There are three ear tip covers included and two gel sizes that actually fill the ear cavity when placed over the ear bud, so there are plenty of ways to make sure you have a great fit with these ear buds.
Connecting the headphones via bluetooth was a breeze, just press the large JBL logo on the side and it will put them in to pairing mode. Look on your phone under bluetooth and you'll see them pair up quick enough.
The sound is crisp and clear, with decent bass throughout different types of music, from Classical to Rock, the sound came through with a nice punch and cleanliness to it.
One thing I did notice was using these earbuds to watch video content on Netflix, there appeared to be a millisecond delay from what you see and what you hear on the screen. It could be just a poor connection with the Netflix server, but there was just the slightest of lags between what you saw and the sound you heard. This is of course negligible when listening to music as there is nothing of any note to sync with.
The charging case has LED indicators to let you know the state of charge, and the ear buds connect to your phone (or iPad) as soon as you take them out of the charging case, you don't have to re-pair them each time.
They have a cool white LED ring around the JBL logo while in the case, and the LED charging status lights give a subtle human face look to the charging case when you close the translucent lid while charging. Don't know if that was intentional to 'humanize' the product, but a nice touch none the less.
The wireless range was adequate walking around the downstairs of the house (about 30ft) but moving upstairs, the ear buds did cut out until brought back into range of the phone, but that is to be expected. Battery life in my testing seemed to be on par with other wireless ear buds at about 4 hours. The charging case can charge your buds a further 4 times, without having to be hooked back up to power again, via the included USB cable.
Overall, these are very nice, ergonomically designed, comfortable, great sounding headphones.

This is my first truly negative review to write. I was so excited to see how these worked. The Left earbud doesn’t even turn on. Quality in Right earbud is awful. I wish I could return, but it was a birthday gift and given after no return date. Ugh. Total waste of money. So upsetting:

There is much to love about these, from the packaging, to the size, to the magnetic pulling of the headphones into the charging case, to the way they fit into your ear, and other things as well.
One of my favorite bonus things, and this sounds silly, but the face created when these are in the charging case is beyond cute. The case is strong and solid, charges them multiple times, and allows you to see them without having to open the case to see they are in there. The case has magnets to pull the headphones into place and that they won't fall around once in there.
Paring them to my iPhone took about 30 seconds to do and I didn't need to consult any instructions - it is as straightforward as you'd expect.
The sound quality is good, maybe it is great, but it is at least good. I've been having a hard time deciding which one it is. They sound really good and maybe it is the placement in my ear that keeps me from hearing it as great vs. good. As a phone, the sound is somewhat muffled and that is probably because it has to hear from the area of your ears while what you are saying comes from your mouth. This is a drawback for me because I like to use my headphones for phone calls too.
The convenience of the small package, that also has a great way to charge and carry these, makes them very worthy. I would say these should be at the top of your list for in ear headphones, and with Best Buy's return policy you can always return them if you find they aren't what you were looking for.

I am basing this review from my experience with several pair of True Wireless In-Ear headphones. Overall, this is a high-quality product for a reasonable price, produces great sounds even if the ear buds are slightly more bulky than the competition with a charging case that is slightly larger than others too.
Included are 3 ear tip sizes, and 2 gel sizes, short charging cable, charging case and of course the earbuds. Please note this is the JBL FREE X headphones - apparently this newer generation (2) has fixed a bluetooth connectivity problem. Thus far, I have not experienced any bluetooth problems!
After installing both the gel "sweatshield" and the smaller ear tips, I feel these are very secure in my ears. Not sure I could play basketball, but the treadmill weightlifting poses no issues. Other earbuds I've had I felt like I was always adjusting so they don't fall out. These seem good!
Why only 4 stars? Well, because I'm picky. Other headphones have voice prompts when you turn them on and off - clearly indicating there state. Even a voice prompt for pairing mode would be helpful. Another missing feature is that when I'm lifting weights and someone walks up to talk, I take out one earbud to hear them. On other sets, that automatically pauses the songs I'm listening to. I'll admit you just have to press the right earbud button to pause, but I'm just providing the comparison.
I will continue to use these during my next few workout to ensure they perform as expected and will adjust the review as appropriate. Thus far - I'm happy with them and believe they are worth the price.

I got these on sale and was excited about the "true-wireless" tag. I listen to headphones every single day at work and much of the weekend too so I know what I like and what I don't. So let me give the good: the sound is good quality for me, not tinny or piercing or too low to hear. The charging case is pretty cool too once I figured out exactly how it works. The case actually charges up so that when you drop the buds into the magnetic holes it charges them whether the case is plugged in or not. The process is good because the little blue ring lights when the bud is secure in the case and begins to charge. The case itself has a row of four LEDS that indicate by either blinking or staying solid how much charge the case has. The bud functions are rather solid too with a few quirks. When you pull the buds from the case (right one first) they pair automatically. The right one pairs to my phone and the left one pairs to the right one. This is good and bad. At work I often wear one bud only so I can be aware of my surroundings and if I walk too far from the other bud it is annoying. The right one will drop the left one if it is left behind with a bunch of beeping. The left one without the right one will just disconnect from the source. The right bud button pauses with one press and the left button advances with one press, this is very good to separate these functions (unless you are on the move with only one bud) so you don't accidently choose the wrong function AND the button press is very tactile and works every time. Re-connecting to the phone or to the right bud isn't too hard but is a pain that it isn't just automatic, I usually just drop the right bud in the case and then take it back out to auto re-connect. Now the bad. The buds are not huge, but they are way heavier on the part not in the ear canal and bending over or jostling around can loosen them and there IS NO hook or anything to retain them and they just fall right out. Usually one falls out and when I bend over to get it the other falls out. I find that my ears don't fit most earbuds well anyway so much of that may be on me. The other bad thing was that I go for an extended walk at lunch (1 mile plus) and twice the buds have gone crazy on me. They just started making an electronic warbling that could not be stopped by pressing the buttons. The only cure was to put them back in the case to automatically turn them off. This meant most of my walk was in unintended silence or holding my phone in one hand trying to hear with the speaker. This really was unacceptable and meant I don't use these while exercising. So, for me these are very convenient when sitting at my desk in my office, but NOT for exercising. My solution is to plug my BEATS headphones in while at my desk and use the JBLs and then throw the JBLs in the case (which switches them off) and grab the BEATS when I head out to exercise. This works for me with only the drawbacks I listed. I would recommend these with reservations.
