The JBL FREE wireless headphones are one of the tougher headphones I have reviewed (and I have reviewed quite a few headphones). Let's get the important part out of the way, they sound really good. They have a nice balanced sound with adequate bass (assuming you can get them sealed) and good extension in the highs. Mid-range is solid and vocals sound true. That said they do tend to distort above 75% volume. So, if you like your music really loud these might not be for you. I have two gripes with the headphones. Each one was a star deduction because that is how much each issue matters to me (and probably you too). First, the fit. They are pretty large and getting them in and set is far more difficult than it should be. I look at the Jabra Elite 65t as a guidepost of compact and great fitting. I will also admit the JBL sound better though once you can get them in tight. That all said, the situation gets truly ridiculous when you install the rubber jackets to make them sweatproof. Now I understand what JBL was trying to do here. The rubber not only helps repel water, but allows an even more secure fit by upping the friction. Unfortunately, I can't really get them in my ears once the jacket is on. So it is all for not in my case. I think JBL should have looked at a more in-device solution to accomplish their goal. Others have created sweatproof headphones without resorting to a jacket. Second gripe is the connection itself with my iPhone. The right ear piece connects almost immediately, but the left one usually ends up requiring me playing a game with turning it off and on until they finally sync up. It's a real drag as both my AirPods and Jabra Elites work immediately. I would like to think this could be solved by a firmware update, but for the life of me I don't see a way to accomplish that as I have found no information as to how. It would really blow my mind if JBL didn't allow for it though. The included case is nice and provides magnetic slots to seat the earpieces into and contains a battery to rapidly charge the headphones. The case is a tad large in my opinion, but still very manageable. Battery life seems pretty good as a whole, but given the size of the earpieces I would have liked to have seen better battery life per session. I got about 3 1/2 hours my first go round and almost 4 hours the second time all at about 50% volume.. Overall, they should get about 24 hours with the case included and that is probably more or less accurate. I should also point out that the battery in the case tends to drain if it sits for long periods so keep that in mind if you only use them when traveling. You will probably need to charge it up before hitting the door. I really wanted to like the JBL FREE more than I did. They really have potential and I can only hope that a revised pair maybe for 2019 will solves some of my quibbles. If you are in the market for truly wireless headphones than these should be on your list. The fact is they sound great and that is not so easy to come by in the truly wireless category.

These headphones were small, light, and easy to pair. I bought them to replace a broken pair of JBL Reflect Mini 2 headphones, which I loved. The sound quality and overall volume were not near my Reflect Mini's. The bass was lacking and mids/highs were distorted. I returned them and bought the Sony - WFXB700 True Wireless Headphones - Blue.

The earbuds are okay. I purchased them for $59 on sale which is acceptable. They retail for $149. They are definitely not worth that much. They don't fit well and have a tendency to fall out. The audio is acceptable, but not great. The worst feature is they don't have a volume adjust button! I don't want to pull my phone out of my pocket every time I need to adjust the volume. They do work well with my iPhone.

good wireless but it just not a good fit with my ear so I can not really enjoy its true sound. I have to push hard into my ear and hold it to get good sound.

I originally bought a pair of sony earbuds that alot of people were raving over. They had some issues and I took them back and got these. I am so glad I did. The bass is incredible and the sound quality is good. I should of bought these to begin with I have been extremely satisfied with every product I have from JBL. These aren't adaptive noise cancelling but you can't hear anything with them in with the music off so essentially they are noise cancelling.

Got these as a gift. Several different ear pieces to fit your ears just right. Easy to connect. Great sound. Nice bass.

The sound is pretty good, lots of bass but they are huge and it's very difficult to keep the buds in your ear, have to keep adjusting the fit. You can only pause sound in your rightt ear bud and you can only forward music in your left ear bud. The majority of the functionality is in the right ear bud. Not a big fan of these.

Great sound quality. Very easy to switch between music and phone calls. Holds charge for an extended time.

Great sound for the price easy to use good battery life

The sound produced by this product is great. They were easy to pair with my android phone. It was expected, but not sure how to combat one of them slipping out of my ear.

Easy to set up, fit great, and great sound for what I need - hooked it up to the PC for work calls, and use it on my phone to listen to music.

Very good, the sound is not bad. in calls, only the right side works, the left is a slave, it does not work alone. has no volume control.

Very small and discreet looking. Sound was very good but only problem was they kept falling out with vigorous exercise and sweat in the ears

I love these ear buds in general, as the sound is good and the conversations sound good on both ends. What I don't like is that you have so many "tapping" controls and the buds are super sensitive. I wanted to turn the sound up, and I hung up on someone. I wanted to adjust them in my ears, and I skipped ahead on a song (while I was jogging). It's hard not to touch the controls. So -- I get why they thought this was a great feature, but it has its downsides. All in all, I've tried other wireless buds and like these best.

Excellent sound quality. They fit perfectly in the ear canal providing good grip and an almost perfect noise isolation. The case is also a battery charger easy to carry due to its compact size and design. The LEDs in the case lets you know when the earphones are charging and ready for use and provides enough juice for the entire day. I already bought a second pair for my wife. In summary, I highly recommend them if you enjoy hearing your favorite music only with the best sound definition.

I purchased this earbud at Best Buy for $49. It was on sale. As I opended the box, i noticed the unit was nicely and properly packed. All accessories was there as indicated in the manual. The setup is easy enough that I let my daughter 12 years old do it for me and she succeed at the first attempt. The sound and volume are great. A lot of bass on this earbud. I am strongly recommend this product to everyone

These are good sounding headphones. The price is pretty good. I wanted to try wireless for the first time and I'm definitely not disappointed.

I love how well they fit and their ease of use, but the battery life is not great. The charging case though, it's awesome.

Love JBL speaker so thought these would be just as good. Although I have an iPhone I did not want the Apple air pods. Too expensive and my whole family has AirPods and personally I don’t think they are comfortable. These ear buds are sweat proof, which is great because I sweat a lot and they fit nicely in your ears. The sound is amazing and super user friendly. If you are debating between these and AirPods, go with these!
