Overall Great

My family just went into a kick over true wireless earbuds. After getting these, my brother got Jabras and my mom got Bose. I must say that these are the best of the three for me. The sound is very good. Bose has slightly better sound, but the keyword there is slightly. Bose are much bigger, bulkier, and heavier than these earbuds. The buttons on the Bose Soundsport Free also are not as easy to click, and are in an odd, cumbersome spot. Jabras have similar sound to the JBL, however they hurt your ear after a while. These JBL earbuds also have great sound isolation, clear audio, 24 hours of total play time, and look very sleek and stylish. They also fit well underneath a winter hat, and the charging case can be used as a phone stand if you have a rubber case on your phone. They are overall great for the price, and I recommend them for everybody. If you end up purchasing them, make sure to switch between the gels for your ear, and ear canal. Once you find the right combination, you can truly appreciate the great sound quality.

Love These Buds!!

These in-ear headphones were so easy to connect. Shortly thereafter, I paired them with my cell phone which instantly took place. The sound produced from these ear buds is great, and they stay in place within my ears well. I received clear communications when playing my songs from Dropbox from my phone. Also, the range throughout my home was decent. I did not experience any cutouts, drop signals, or unclear audio.
I think JBL has done a great job with this product from design, wear, functionality as well as usefulness.

Music Sound Quality: 7/10 - Want 9 or 10 out of 10? Pay more and go for the Sennheisers. These are adequate for most general use.
Comfort: 6/10 - Silicone tips like many earbuds you've had in the past. Add on the weight and they're even more prone to falling out. No hooks nor braces to keep them in.
Styling: 7/10 - These stick out of your ears like small tumors. There are other wireless buds that stick out more but these protrude far enough for people to immediately notice. Not the greatest.
Battery: 8/10 - Approx. 4hrs of playback time. About 15 mins for 1hr of play time. Case will charge these completely multiple times so there's a plus.
Charging Case: 8/10 - Great capacity for repeated charging however, this case is a bit bulky so it won't fit in your pockets as easily as some of the other units on the market.
Mic: 5/10 - Passable. People on the other end will say you sound like you're on a decent speaker phone. Jabras Elite 65t's and Airpods have much better mics.
Ambient Noise: 3/10 - Silicone tips = block out most ambient noises. Not the ideal situation if you're a runner/jogger or want to be aware of your surroundings while moving about.
Distance: 8/10 - I got about 30ft away before I had connection issues. So not great, not bad.
Bud-2-Bud Connectivity: 5/10 - One bud would lose connection with the other at times (usually left side) and this can be a bit annoying. It usually regains the connection pretty quick but its still a nuisance. Any connection issues between buds automatically gets 5/10 as higher quality ones don't experience this issue.
Verdict: I think a lot of the 5-star reviews are based solely without experiencing any of the higher end true wireless buds. For $129, this is not the best deal and I would urge you to save a tiny bit more money and get the Airpods, Jabra's or Bose. Better everything all-around. $70 sounds a lot more reasonable for this level of quality.
Hit or Miss: These are a miss. I would pass and buy a better pair. You'll probably want to swap these for a higher end pair later on down the road.

I bought these headphone about 2 weeks ago. I came from a pair of Sony headphone, not earbuds.
My good
- they sit comfortably in the ear, I don't worry they're gonna fall out when running or working out
- sound is great, actually it's better than great.
- stay charged for a decent amount of time.
- price for what you get is excellent
My bad
- Against other reviews and my better judgement, I ignored complaints about the left earbud not charging and having difficulty connecting. I have to fidget with mine when it's in the charging case
- Having come from headphones, I'm used to hearing phone calls in both ears not just one, as well as being able to connect and stay on bluetooth on 2 devices (desktop and phone)
- Connecting to the phone isn't always easy. Sometimes takes 2 tries
I've had great luck with JBL before and will buy from them again. These just didn't do it for me so I'll probably be returning them.

The Sound is Good

So as the summary says, I like the sound the bass is decent.
The charging case is nice, it's transparent so I can see when its fully charged as well as when the earbuds have finished charging.
And that's about all I can say good about the headphones
Once I connected it via bluetooth, which was pretty straight forward and simple. I turned on Pandora, after about 5 minutes I started hearing static in the left ear and then nothing, next came a little more static and the music started back again in both ears, until it stopped again...in both ears.
After that I called my sister to hear the in ear volume and clarity. On my end the volume (although as loud as it would go on the phone) was not loud enough in my ear and on her end she said it was a little hard hearing me and surprise, there is NO volume control on these babies! Nor is there an app to tweak or amplify sound.
So although it could have been a good effort to make a great wireless earbud it falls very short of its objective. I'm such a JBL fan, I wanted these to work and not be as bad as the reviews I had read previously. I also wanted them to fit perfectly in my ears, however they are pretty chunky and did fall out once as I was vigorously chewing gum and talking (I just wanted to see if they would stay in or not)

I'm pretty happy with the JBL True Wireless headphones. I received a pair of JLab Audio - Epic Air True Wireless Earbud Headphones last year and was disappointed. One bud would always drop out and the companies solution was to put the phone closer to the earbuds. I bought an arm sleeve to hold my Pixel, but it still dropped out. I was skeptical that the JBL's would be the same, but was happy to have much better results with this second generation tech. I was not only able to keep a connection with my phone on the kitchen countertop, but I could walk 20+ feet over to the couch in the living room before I lost one bud. At about 25 feet the signal got the hiccups and would connect and disconnect. I think that's pretty good for Bluetooth. I have confidence that I'll keep a decent connection at the gym with my phone in my front pocket. That's really all I demand out of this type of earbud. I wish JLab could update the firmware in the older model so I had a backup pair. Oh well, I guess that goes to show that the older name brand products still give better performance than these younger tech companies.
If you have had a bad experience with wireless earbuds and want to give it another go, I'd recommend these. If your results aren't the same as mine, you can always return them.

First off, these sound great for the price! They put the Samsung Gear Icon and Apple pods to shame in the sound department. The fit is ok, kind of big and don't fit my ear the best, but better than the Samsung. My only true issue and reason for the 3 star is the Bluetooth. If I have my phone in my winter coat pocket I get sound loss frequently. That's unacceptable for earbuds over $50. I truly wanted to love them and would get a 5 star if that one issue didn't stop me. They sound great, but that Bluetooth connectivity kills perfection unfortunately.

For true wireless headphones they are just ok. No matter what I do they manage to fall out of my ear. The charge time is good but the included cable is only about 4in. I have owned these earbuds for a year and they have annoyed me so much. The only reason I still have them is my inability to return them. The left ear goes in and out all the time. It may or may not work. The sound quality is what I would expect form a cheap pair of earbuds at a gas station. The volume level is just ok. The bass is not very good and when used for about 30 minutes they start to show signs of being challenged. This is usually when the left ear stops working. I do not work out in them. I just can be sitting down and they manage to fall out rather when I smile or talk or move. I have tried every tip given.
The worst part about these earbuds is they make my phone lag. I have a new iPhone and very good band capacity. I can be watching a movie or listening to music and it would just randomly cause my phone to glitch. I love tech so I have owned many other types of Bluetooth devices and headphones and these just should be avoided.

I went back and forth too many times about which headphones I was going to buy. I walk and workout daily so I wanted to make sure I was getting something that wouldn’t fall out of my ears. These are great! They don’t fall out, I don’t have to constantly readjust them. Sound quality is great, I mean cmon, JBL! Some bad reviews were due to the lack of volume control and an app, but honestly I don’t want that anyway. These are super straight forward, you take them off the charger, put them in your ears and you’re ready to go. Plus, the range on these bad boys is incredible. I can leave my phone inside and work in my backyard and still have great sound quality.

Hey Andjo, thanks for your review on our JBL Free headphones. Looks like you're experiencing an issue with the left ear bud. Let's try to troubleshoot. To get the left ear piece to reconnect, make sure that the right ear piece is on and emitting sound. Take the left ear piece out of the charging case and put in ear. Press and hold down the power button on the left ear piece for 5-8 seconds. You should hear the power on chime and then both ear buds should emit sound now. If you continue to experience the issue after trying these steps, tell us about it by submitting a case here: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/

Wouldn't stay in ears securely

I really wanted to like these and thought I may have finally found the solution to good-sounding, truly wireless earbuds for the gym, but these just kept slipping out of my ears. I tried moving them around to find the right angle, used different tip sizes, etc. but they're just too prone to falling out. They sounded good, otherwise, but it's pointless if they can't stay in your ears securely.
I'm returning them and going back to wired earbuds until some company figures it out.

Ok I'm gonna keep this short and simple. All these reviews I've read about these being bulky and falling out... those are small eared customers. Shut up, yes you are! NOW... for us larger eared listeners, these are perfect! I have huge ears that I was even teased about as a school kid. If you have a good sized ear these will be perfect. Buy them. I was VERY worried about them falling out cause my ears are huge. I'm still on the preset buds. Absolutely perfect. I do outside physical work and I NEVER have to adjust them. Thank you thank you thank you JBL for making American sized earbuds!

I bought and ranked these in this order:
These - nice and loud and snug with the addon silcone covers that you put on.
Skullcandys Push - almost as good but alittle too big for my liking.
Jabra Elite 75 - nice voice through feature that lets you hear people talk with buds still in. But were not loud at all at max volume.
Skullcandy Sesh - not that loud (negative) , small (positive), but range isnt that good, killing out around 30 ft while the others were going strong at that range.

Terrible connection

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I bought these so I could play basketball while listening to music. The connection is terrible beyond 10 feet and cuts in and out so much I returned them. I can only imagine people who use this on a treadmill would be fine, or with your phone in your pocket. Otherwise these are trash.
Also there is a magnet that pulls the headphones in to charge and you have to double check that they're charging. This is important because there is no power button and each goes into pairing after being pulled out from the case. Many times the left earbud wasn't secure so the right paired to the phone but the left wouldn't go to pair to the right ear bud. I cannot believe for this price there would be these common issues that should have been resolved in R&D.
I gave it two stars because when the ear bud fit securely the sound was close to my Bose wireless soundsport. I'll keep using those and try some other true wireless buds for the perfect replacement.
