I bought a pioneer and these speakers that were suggested. I was told that these would give me a fuller sound. It sounds like my old stock radio all over. If you must have these buy an amp and a sub woofer. Buyer beware.

Makes popping noises when getting louder

And I don’t even listen to my music loudly. Not loud enough to “break” it or blow it. Extremely frustrated. Can’t return because it’s past the return date and whatnot. Spent good money on these, and it wasn’t worth it.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 03 tacoma reg cab with a jvc head unit that puts 50 watts per which is enough to get a very reasonable amount of bass and clear highs out of these speakers. My daily has dual 12s and JBLs all around and for speakers running on 50 watts I was very happy with the output. 10/10 would recommend

Despite having been out for well over a year, just try finding any info on it outside bestbuy.com. When I talked to Best Buy about the fact that this speaker wasn’t even listed anywhere on JBL.com, they assured me it came with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Two separate calls into JBL said something else entirely. They said that, although the speaker carried the JBL brand at a JBL certified seller, they would not support or warranty them. Another JBL rep outright told me that this was probably a case of JBL licensing their name to another company who was making the speaker exclusively for Best Buy. So JBL doesn’t make them and JBL doesn’t support them.I don’t know what the real story is, but if you buy these just know they probably wouldn’t be supported by Best Buy or JBL after 30 days unless you get extra buyer protection. And if that doesn’t make you feel weird about buying them, then you’re braver than me.
