Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, price, and wireless connectivity of the LIVE 500BT Wireless Over-The-Ear Headphones. They appreciate the fantastic sound, comfortable fit, long battery life, and affordable price. However, some customers have concerns about the volume, portability, app, and ear pain. They find the volume to be low when connected to a TV via Bluetooth, the headphones to be bulky for daily use, the app to be unnecessary, and the headphones to cause ear pain during long-term use.

Easy set up, great sound, comfortable, and good price (I got it on sale). These were my first over ear headphones and I was so shocked by the comfort and sound. I would highly recommend- especially if you wanna make sure you like over ear!

The product is amazing and I am satisfied with the purchase. Worth the price. Pros: - The sound quality is just amazing - Easy switching between multiple connected devices - Noise reduction is pretty fair. - Mic quality is awesome Cons: - The extender is pretty loose and drops off easily - I noticed that after a month of usage, the sound on the left ear speaker is less compared to the right. Overall, the product is good for both talking on phone and listening to music.

Great headphones with wonderful sound quality but can get a little uncomfortable when using for long periods of time, especially for someone with big ears like me.

I recently had to replace my last pair of headphones because SONY seemingly made defective headphones for over 2 years and refuses to acknowledge or repair them. So, I snatched these headphones up on sale for my PC and MP3 player usage. At the recommendation of some on youtube I had to break them in because they were so tight even on the largest setting that it was really uncomfortable. After 8 hours of having the ear cups put on the box to stretch them a bit they're FAR more comfortable. They sound really good with solid bass and overall nice range of sound, the controls are are a bit lacking since you only have a few buttons. The option to use wired headphones is really nice since you can get better audio out of the wire and when you can, it's nice. The BT is by no means bad, infact it's hard to hear the difference on my PC but with my MP3 player? So, might not be the headphones fault here. My biggest complaint is if you want to make adjustments to your headphones sound settings you can do that...only via a JBL app which didn't work on my phone. I had to use someone else's and it was very limited and jank. There's no PC app and no way to do it otherwise. Nitpick would be if you touch the left ear cup the headphones will blurt out "THE GOOGLE ASSISTANT IS NOT CONNECTED" - not a button, touch, I don't have that set up, I don't want it set up. To dive more into the sound I've used these during gaming and the sound is super good, can tell where people are in the games I've played via footsteps/monster steps whether they're behind or to the sides of me. I didn't use the mic on this because, my PC has a mic that's going to out do this so it's not worth it. Music sounds great and I wish I could describe this better but I mean that's not an easy task, all I can say is I noticed no problems and have enjoyed whatever music I've listened through them. Oh, Bluetooth range is solid. About 3 rooms away from my PC and I'm still hearing my music. Only when something big like the fridge came between me n' the PC did it cut out.

Thought I'd try a different brand of headphone and saw these on sale and figured it would be a good time to see what the JBL's are like and I was blown away and couldn't believe that I'd gotten them for under a $100! Not only can I connect them to my phone at the same time, (phone calls take priority over everything else when connected.), but as soon as I'd charged them the first time and was on my deck listening to them a neighbor had said something to me and without taking the headphone's off, I'd pushed the Talk Thru button on them and could hear her clearly! Really believe that I got a good deal and really love them! Which are a lot more comfortable than the Sony WH-XB700's I have and seem to be better made quality-wise. Only complaint was the creaky right ear cup though I fixed that by spraying a little WD-40 between the earcup and the controls. Haven't creaked since.

I bought these headphones like three years ago, somehow decide to doing this review today sound quality for these headphones are great. You can wear those for an hour or so, but not for longer specially, if you have bigger ears another problem is they are automatically disconnected sometimes and you have to reconnect them overall good purchase for the price

Not too expensive. The charge lasts fairly long (about 36 or so hours) I use these mostly at work and though they're not noise cancelling, they do block out most of the ambient noise. The talk through mode is useful for when I've got them comfortably on my head and someone needs to talk to me. Music comes through fairly well rounded in the EQ category, though a tad bit bass heavy sometimes, which I'm sure is just due to how the track was mixed. The only issue I have, and this is a personal one not the fault of JBL, is the ear cups press the ear pieces of my glasses into my head behind the ear. It's a problem I have with all over the ear headphones, but I don't like ear buds so it's just something to think about if you wear glasses. I usually will put the headphones on, then put my glasses on with the ear pieces going up a bit so they sit around the top area of the ear cup. That kinda helps, even though I probably look silly.

Absolutely love these headphones! I wanted to get a great set (high quality sound, durable, nice looking) of headphones for the office without having to spend $300+ for a set, and this set really hit the spot. I'm not a sound expert, but I am a little picky with my toys and I do my research before buying. I wanted something with good balanced sound (great highs, mids and lows and great bass), not too much of one type of sound and lacking on the others... and this set delivered 100%. They sound just like high end headphones, but less than half the price. And they are JBL which is a good, solid, reliable brand, even better than Sony in my opinion. The microphone is great too, I've had many phone call with this set and people hear me great. Battery lasts me the whole week at work with low volume. The noise cancelation is not the best but is enough for me, but I wasn't looking for the best cancelation anyway... so I was fine with that. I got the white ones and they look really nice. I did get them a separate carrying case and a head band protector to not get them dirty with my hair oils. I 100% recommend these, and also recommend you check YouTube reviews, where everyone is really impressed by how great these headphones are. 100% buy!

Originally my mother was in the market for new headphones, she requested my help. This checked every box she wanted from a pair of headphones. After trying out her pair Immediately headed back to the store got myself a pair. Battery, sound, comfort. All great and Bluetooth set-up was easy it was just a matter of turning this device on and turning on Bluetooth on the phone.

I recently purchased a JBL Live 500BT wireless bluetooth headphones at Best Buy store during the Black Friday week at half price for only $75. I am very please with it since it does has the extra features I need as ambient and talk-thru and the battery power is very good for about 33 hours before charge it. Several times my wife and/or friends said something to me so I just pushed the Talk-Thru button on it and I could hear them clearly without taking the headphone off. The high quality sound, and bass are really clear and very good. I believe that I got a very good deal and really love it. I think it is a lot more comfortable than couple other brands I tried and it seems to be better made quality-wise. I would purchase it again and would recommend it to my family, friends, and co-workers to consider and give it a try.

Great sound fit good and the noise canceling is great. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the instructions are so tiny and in 10 different languages. I downloaded the app which doesn't offer much help and is having issues updating. Was easy to sync to phone having issues with alexa. Got these on sale too for almost 100 off so well worth the price

I needed an over the ear headphone to use with a Samsung Series 8 TV. Originally I purchased another brand RF headphone with a charging base. The base plugs into the audio out jack of the TV. Oops, my TV doesn't have an audio out that would work with that base. But it does have native support for a Bluetooth audio output. I exchanged my previous purchase for the JBL Live 500BT headphones. Pairing through the TV's setup was simple, and simply turning on the headphones while the TV is on initiates the connection. Sound quality is excellent through the headphones, and noise cancelling near total. I can't hear the phone ring, or the wife calling while I'm watching TV with these on! The charge lasts a long time. The specs say 33 hours of listening. I've probably gone over 20 hours before charging, but did not run the charge down in that time. I purchased these on sale, and my value rating is based on the sale price.

Good headphones. They fit tightly even on someone with a smaller head or a kid. The battery is excellent and has lasted 7 days listening to music for 3-5 hours per night. Only reason I charge is so it doesn’t die mid stream. You can charge while wearing if needed, but cord is only 3 ft. Pads are a little smaller than I’d like and after long periods, it felt like my ears were getting pinched. It isn’t too bad, but I may opt for larger muffs next time. Sound is very good with mids and highs and bass with certain types of music is sufficient. I found that heavy bass tracks required more volume to feel immersed, but the headphones didn’t always seem to get loud enough. It was fine for me once I got accustomed to it, but it may frustrate others who like heavy bass and loud. Overall I’m happy as I got them on sale and used a gift card, so for my money, they were a great deal. I may not pay retail for them, but if I sale, I’d consider them again.

This is the second pair I've bought of this brand of headphones and I can't recommend them enough. The sound quality is outstanding for the price point and the noise cancelling works almost too well (If you're like me and tend to be pretty oblivious to those around you). I love how long the battery lasts and how quickly it charges as well. They are very durable and, while not completely waterproof, they stand up pretty well in the rain. (I wore them out during a hurricane and, though it didn't hit my area directly, they stood up just fine to the torrential downpour.) If these headphones are in your price point, you should definitely look into them!

The sound reproduction is excellent over Bluetooth. Outside sound is fairly well masked over while listening to music or audio. Device pairing is easy on iPhone and iPad and Mac. The headphones last a long time on a charge. The controls are not as user friendly or intuitive as I would like but I have figured it out. The integration with Google service does not work on my IPhone or iPad. The alternative with Alexa is better but works extra effort to bring up when I fire up the headphones. I am glad I bought them at the price on sale and I find them very comfortable to wear and easy to transport.

I have been looking for some wireless over the ear headphones and just could not afford to spend more than $100 bucks on a pair that would last me a while. I saw these on a deal for $80 here on Best Buy from $150. After some research and lots of reviews read I decided to get them and I am so happy with them. The quality is exceptional. They are super comfortable, I have a big head so it's hard to wear headphones for an extended period of time but I was able to wear these for a couple of hours no problem. Sound quality is great no problems there. These do not noise cancel but they, in all honesty, do a pretty great job at noise cancelling. The only downside to them is that I wish that for such an expensive headset they don't bring a case or bag to put them in so that's not fun to have to buy your own. One thing that is not advertised as well as it should be is that they are Google and Alexa compatible and it works like a wonder. The left side is touch so you can ask google questions without having to take your phone out. It will also read your notifications to you. It's a feature that's just awesome to have. These headphones also come with features like TalkThry and Ambient Aware that help you at a click of one button to hear your surroundings and also be able to have a conversation with someone without having to move or take off your headphones. The only reason why it's 4 stars is that they don't bring a case or bag for transport.
