Even though they're not officially noise cancelling, I found that they do cancel out a lot noise and can't hear anything around me with them on. My only problem with them was after a month of light usage though the faux leather covering on one of the earmuffs started coming off. Unfortunately, it was past the return period and I did not get the protection plan for these so I was unable to return them to Best Buy. I was however, able to return them to them to JBL and currently waiting on a replacement.

They drop connection with my iPod even though the iPod shows they're still connected. Now the sound in both ears only partially works. If you apply pressure to both ear cups then the full sound will come back. It's like there's a bad connection in there somewhere. Expect a longer lasting product for $150.
