Have to go through many inputs for getting to the settings you need for everything connected to the receiver.

The JBL - MA510 5.2ch. 8K AV Receiver is one of their new offerings in their new line of AVR receivers for home audio. This model is one above the entry model in the new lineup. Visually this AVR looks great if you are looking for a modern sleek type of aesthetic, this will also fit nicely if you dont have much space in that tight TV cabinet of yours. Specification wise the JBL - MA510 5.2 channels rated at 75W x 2ch @ 8ohms, 75W x 5ch @ 8ohms, 100 watts per channel into 4 ohms & has Dolby and DTS surround sound decoding. As far as audio only inputs you get1 x Coaxial digital audio, 1 x Optical digital audio, 1 x Analog audio. As far as HDMI, you get 4 HDMI 2.0 inouts and 1 HDMI 2.1 out. As far as setup goes all you'll have to do is download the JBL app and it will guide you through everything. I like that JBL has their EZ Set EQ that you can use for room equalization for optimized sound quality. I had to take off one start due to this model not supporting Dolby Atmos because this is used for my home theater setup. The JBL MA510 supports several digital streaming platforms and services including Spotify, Tidal and Connect. This model also supprots Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast and also works with SmartThings Hub, wi-fi and bluetooth. Inside the box you'll also get 1 x IR Remote, 2 x AAA Batteries1 x Bluetooth Antenna, 1 x Power Cord. The JBL MA510 in my opinion is a great entry level AVR. It has what you need for a complete home theatre setup and sounds equally great for the price point. If you don't plan on adding more speaker to your setup and prefer a modern AVR thats easy to setup then this is perfect for you.

Excellent quality, simple set up, meets the requirements for it’s purpose.

Coming from a Denon AVR X2300, moving to this JBL should have been a lateral move. It was, instead, a massive step down. The big issue is that through the JBL, our normally crisp image on our Samsung tv was now grey and hazy. The sound was thin and the menus were awful. I thought maybe the JBL sound app might give some added functionality. But it’s pretty much a waste. Happy to return this item.

This receiver was installed by Geek Squad. I have had nothing but bad issues with this since it was installed. What can I do to get a replacement that was installed? The apps will not keep a consistent volume. Goes up and down to no sound at all. Default has high volume, low volume and then no volume. I asked geek squad in store before I made my purchase. Also told what was needed and was told it be a good purchase. Maybe it is not compatible.

Delayed delivery Try to deliver 4 times. Not very happy. Called customer care and no help there

Subwoofer output is garbage. Adjustability is garbage. Don't recommend unless you want a very basic receiver. I returned it for a denon

I wired my speakers using high end banana plugs and used audioquest HDMI cables, the moment I would turn on my PS5 the AVR would try to handshake with my TV (55A90J) the sound stopped playing and on the screen the AVRA read protection mode. Turn system off. I was at it for hours before giving up and calling this system a dud and returned it the next day. Save up more money and buy a better brand name AVR.

Front display stopped working after one week. Returing from the Denon.

If you want it to work with a universal remote, please DO NOT BUY this one, the remote is so small. Good locking, but that is it.

Bluetooth drops every 10 minutes. The phone application is stone age, does not find the receiver half the time. Very rough user interface.
