I purchased this speaker with the microphone for a karaoke game on Christmas Eve. It worked so well, the speaker was very loud for the size. The microphone worked perfectly. The microphone is battery operated which is OK with me.

The JBL PartyBox is awesome for parties! The sound is loud and clear, with bass that really hits. The light effects make it even more fun. The battery lasts a while but could be better for long events. Still, it’s a solid speaker that’s worth it!

Does exactly what I need it to. Bought it to use more for a portable PA system. Once I learned I could turn the lights off completely, it fit my need exactly. Battery is great. I haven't had to recharge it yet. I use it for about ten minutes increments at a time.
