Let me tell you this, this is my new shower speaker! Very solid build, waterproof and very loud for the size. App lets you control the light show which is pretty cool. Might have to get another one to sync them around the house

Another good product by JBL, but let's be honest. This speaker's cool because of the lights. The app provides options for the lights, but only a couple are very good. JBL's XTREME, charge, and flip are all better options speaker wise in terms of sound and battery; however I can't help but enjoy the lights and the fireplace visual.

the new pulse 5 is great... all the options from the app are fun, the lights have a lot of settings to please even the most demanding... the bluetooth 5.3 version is super fast and stable like its big brother boombox 3, audio is that part for which we all really have a bluetooth speaker... I'd say it's right between the flip 6 and the charge 5... an incredible improvement compared to the pulse 4, with its new 30watt speaker and a twitter... the bass doesn't get as deep as the charge 5, and if you push it a bit it almost feels a little distorted... overall it's very good.. although the price is high like the pulse 4 was, we'll see , How are jbl sales doing with this new pulse 5... and " yes " I can recommend it for those people who feel good with the flip 6 but without reaching the charge 5... only the bass is my only problem with this device ...but it sound fine.. just one step down to the charge 5 around " bass punch "

Love - love - love this little speaker. Not only is it retro cool, but it has great sound quality and works really well for my needs. I am using it in my home office and it is the perfect fit of aesthetic beauty and groovy sound.

It's a great speaker. The bass is at the bottom. The melody is at the top. If you cover the top, the sound gets blocked out other than the bass. Keep that in mind. 90% volume lasted 3 hours with full brightness and lighting. Very surprised with its battery life. Keep in mind that for full retail, you're getting a very colorful speaker and the battery life may be unsatisfactory, so I would recommend the Bose bt speakers if you want better battery life and you are not interested in the flashy colors and lighting effects. You can customize the lighting on it, and the bass has improved from its previous generation, and its a fun speaker and it is definitely worth for me! If this speaker is on sale, definitely would recommend it!

Much better than the jbl pulse 3 and powerful than its predecessors. The battery life is really amazing and not glitchy like the pulse 3. Would definitely recommend to buy this if you are looking for a shower time speaker or show off to your friends with the cool light show!

This device is simply terrific. The sound quality and volume abilities are all super. The speaker is well made and study. Love the color patterns of the lights and really enjoying the ability to change things up via the app. Well worth the money!

I updated my collection a of couple months ago from jbl pulse 3 to the 5… I can say it was worth the risk. The strap that is attached to the speaker is very durable. The sounds is great loud lows, and there is even an app you can download to adjust the equalizer.

I’ve had the three for years and it’s still working well I just needed another one, of course by now they have the five. And it’s working well. Nice job of lighting and the batteries got a nice long life to it.

its my second speker from JBL, the first one was charge 4 and it was stolen. So , pulse 5 is absolutely increadible , the sound , the vibe and hundreds of color themes and effects talk for itself.

Would have been 5 stars but the smudges.. oh man the smudges. It also doesnt hold up to the previous model in outside environments. Additionally, the jbl link isnt cross compatible with the previous model. Other than these things its an amazing speaker. Sounds great and is sturdy.

This was a birthday gift for my wife. She loves it she was surprised with the lights and sound she couldn’t believe this small speaker can be so loud.

the light show is dope tv and music sound great especially if you want good sound at night without waking up the roomates it sounds good at low volumes and great loud too not too shabby

sounds great.....good charge life......easy to use.....but no local volume control on the device itself......don't want to have to carry the music source all over all the time........

The sounds and colors are amazing and the white noise sounds are awesome especially when the lights are on feels like I have a lava lamp that plays music

JBL has out done themselves with this product, I have always used JBL for bluetooth speakers and not only have they captured the perfect amount of eye candy within this product but the sound system itself is balanced so much so that the product doesnt damage itself on full blast (equalizer maxed out and all). I listen to a lot of Bass themed music such as Dubstep so my sound quality is EXTREMELY important to me.
