Got these for my Christmas gift to myself. I was not satisfied with the sound I was getting from ear buds. And I had both wired and wireless earbuds from Beats, Apple, Bose, and JBL. So I decided to try “over ears”. I use my earphones for exercise. These were just what I was looking for. The cups are comfortable, and you can hand was them. The bass thumps. I love the talk through feature. You can literally hear the conversation you are having with the person next to you through the speakers. I agree with some of the other reviews that they are not over powering with sound. But, I feel like I get enough sound for sure. (I am not trying to damage my hearing with blaring sound in the 1st place.) The case is legit. Yes I am a fan of The Rock, I realize Under Armour made a pair a few dollars cheaper, that probably sound the same, I will admit my fandom drew me to pay the premium, but I am satisfied.

I enjoy them, they are pretty tight and really never fall off, great product and I got it on sale so it was a great deal. I wouldn’t pay the regular cost for them but I pulled the trigger when they were on sale. Project rock items are usually worth the buy. Connects to my iPhone without a problem.

I go to the gym 5 days a week and finding headphones that fit well, sound good and stand up to the sweat and abuse can be a seemingly impossible task. Earbuds tend to be the go-to type of headphones for working out but I find the sacrifice in sound quality along with the fact that they never seem to stay put to be a deal breaker for me. Up to now, on-ear or over-the -ear headphones never worked for me because they either wouldn't stay on my head or the sweat would cause the ear cups to break down. So when I read the these headphones were designed specifically to be worn in the gym I was cautiously optimistic.
Being a fan of The Rock and seeing videos of him touting these ones I decided to give them a shot.
First off, they sound quite good. The sound is fairly neutral with good bass as well as mids and highs. Nothing seems to be exaggerated with these headphones.
In regards to fit they do stay in place through my entire workout. I have lower back issues so I often do toe touches in between sets and these headphones will tend to slide a little but not fall off my head when I bend over, (I shave my head by the way). They also stay in place when laying on a bench. They do fit a bit snug and I find that for the first 10 minutes or so they feel tight but then my ears seem to get used to them. My workouts are generally 2 hours in length and I haven't had a problem wearing them for that long. I will say that these headphones do seem to make me sweat a bit more due to them acting like a pair of ear muffs. But I've been pleasantly surprised to find that even after sweating into them for a couple of hours and throwing them into my gym bag they dry out by the next day.
Battery life is also very good as I have been able to get through a whole week of workouts on a single charge.
One gripe I have with these headphones is that they are a bit bulky. These will definitely not get you any points for looks. Also they are pretty pricey. $250 for a pair of headphones is highway robbery to me. Luckily I had $100 in gift certificates at the time I bought these.

Great Gym Headphones For Those Who Prefer On-Ear

I really like these. I prefer on-ear headphones for the gym and these are the only ones I have tried that don't come off, even when benching, box jumping, or anything else you may want to do.
They are snug but not too tight, My ears can hurt from too much pressure and I can wear these fine for a long gym session.
The bluetooth connects easily, and doesn't have any dropouts or anything. The one weird thing that happens is sometimes if I pause a song too long, I can't use the on-board controls to start it again. But it's not all the time and may not be the headphones fault.
The noise profile is definitely JBL and catered to the gym. Good bass response. They are passive noise cancelling and do a good job of that. My gym blares music and if I have these at an acceptable safe level of volume, I can't hear it.
Comes with extra ear pads which is awesome and going to extend the life of these. Carrying case is really nice. Battery life is solid, I would charge maybe once a week or week and a half.
These were a steal at $150 in my opinion. Full price ($250), it's a lot, but they are the only ones that stay on so I guess they would be worth it.

Best Headphones for the Gym

The best gym headphones you can get. They're JBL headphones branded with the Rock's logo and catchphrase. The ear cups are removable and machine washable, which is an important feature for those who sweat a lot in the gym. Headphones that have leather tend to crack or smell after a few weeks of working out in them. The sound quality of these are fantastic as well, with very good bass and a talk through feature which allows you to press one button and hear everything around you while the music playa at a low volume. You can also receive calls like any other blutooth headphones. It also comes with an extra pair of ear cups and a very nice hardshell case with a thick, triangular carabiner. They're also really nice looking and durable. The only downside is the price. If you can get them on sale, there's really no reason not to get them. If you're in the gym and need music, you really can't go wrong with these. Fantastic headphones.

I finally found a great pair of gym wireless headphones with these Project Rock..
Pros:
•Battery life- amazing battery life for wireless headphones..i work out 5 days/week for about 60-70 minutes and with a full charge these lasted me about a week and a half possibly more..Compared to other wireless bluetooth headphones these are top of the line when it comes to battery life.
Comfort- this is subjective but imo these are very comfortable..again i use these for 60-70 minutes each gym session and i feel no type of discomfort throughout my training..i cannot comment on comfort level for periods of time longer than that.
TalkThru feature: this is clutch..not much of a talker in the gym but if i must, just a press of this button and it allows me to talk without having to remove my headphones..lowers the music and enhances your voice and surrounding sounds..press it again and your music resumes to its original volume level.
Con:
If i had to say one con about these headphones and i really wouldnt call it a con, is how loud they are..now let me explain..these headphones sound great..i def like how loud they are but what i mean from my con is im comparing them to my prior wireless bluetooth headphones the Bose Soundsport Free..i dont think there are any true wireless headphones that sounds better than those Bose..i would give Project Rock 5 stars if they had that sound..Again these headphones sound great and by no means am i knocking the sound..

I'm not usually an on/over-ear headphone kinda person, but i was pleasantly surprised when I put these on. They are extremely comfortable, and sit well on the head. Not only are these comfortable, but they're as durable as any headphone I've ever used. Great sound, with pumping bass and clear high and mid frequency audio. Overall the best pair of headphones for working out without much close competition, especially within the price range. Not to mention they have Dwayne's logo on the side, so I get a lot of compliments on that. Highly, highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for a good, affordable headset to use in the gym.

I purchased these for gym as my ears are allergic to some of the in ear earbuds and get rash especially Bose. These sound great. Clear bass but not much highs as it’s ok as they cause me ear fatigue. I bought these to drown out crappy gym music. Sometimes I have to adjust on my head depending on what exercise I’m doing but it’s always the same with any in ear buds. I like that they came with extra ear cushions. I wash ear cushions with soap every time after workouts and let them air dry. These headphones feel like they will last a long time. They work well when on treadmill and all workouts so far. I bought them in sale and I would probably pay full price just because of my in ear issues with certain silicone ear tips and plastics.

Honestly they sound great if your having audio quality issues or volume not bumping loud enough it’s your personal devices issue.
At full msrp they are pricy but at the current price I’d say they are amazing for the gym. After your first session the ear pads should get more comfortable.
Honestly surprised how good they were based on other’s reviews

I love these headphones. I bought them on sale almost a month ago and couldn’t pass up the price. I wouldn’t pay full price for these headphones, but I’m very satisfied. They fit great and they’re comfortable. They don’t fall off. The sound quality is excellent and better than my old AirPods. I would recommend these to all my friends.

I was looking for headphones I could wear while weight training and running as well as for casual listening. I bought and returned many others before finding these and I absolutely love them. Sound quality is great, they stay in place during active times yet remain very comfortable on the head and on ears. Battery life has been amazing and I love the TalkThru technology function.

Was a little wary buying these as I usually prefer over-the-ear headphones, but I needed a new set of gym headphones, and I'm a sucker for the Rock. Couldn't be happier. Ear pads are comfy, a little stiff at first but loosening up with time. Music is perfect for the gym and my personal tastes. Probably not for an audiophile, but I personally love the thumping bass. Construction seems sturdy. With vents in the case, they dry out between workouts. I would not recommend for outdoor activities as the wind easily makes its way through the ear cups, but perfect for indoor. Have worn while lifting and on the elliptical, and have had no issues with slipping. Overall, I'm very pleased with these headphones and have no regrets purchasing them.

When the Rock makes something you can trust that it will hold up to the abuse. These headphones not only have fantastic sound quality but they are built to last. Having the ability to remove and clean the ear pads is super helpful. Overall extremely happy with the headphones!

These headphones are amazing. The sound is even better than expected. I love hitting the gym with these. They stay in place with no issues. I don’t hear anything at the gym until I press the bill which puts it into audio mode so you can have a conversation with someone if needed. They are very very comfortable. The material is solid and very durable. If you looking for a set of headphones for the gym or just lounging at home I highly recommend these! These are top notch quality and worth the money! I am even happier I caught them on a 3 day sale for $50 cheaper. Honestly they are so nice I would’ve paid the other $50 for a product of this quality!
