Impurchased it based on thr reviews and price. I will be returning it . It just doesnt have the sound quality I am looking for. Not enough bass and not loud enough.

Not worth it

Posted .We appreciate your feedback. Our JBL Xtreme 2 has a 2 x 20W RMS Bi-amp (AC mode) rated power output. If you are experiencing sound issues such as buzzing, distortion, popping, or static. Here are some troubleshooting steps to isolate those issues. First, Turn up the volume to determine if it occurs as the volume increases then try to connect the headphones to a different device (phone/tablet/music player) to see if it fixes the problem. Last is resetting, turn on the speaker then press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off, and reboot to factory default. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. If the issue remains, please contact our customer support for further assistance.

Midrange a litle muffled but I can live woith it. The worst part is the app that you have to download in order to play in stereo. I hve another Xtreme that I pair for stereo mode. They would play in stereo as long as you dont disturb your phone if a call comes in. Then you lose stereo mode. Sometimes just changin a song from your smartphone. I have called support and told me to dowload update. Not fixed!!! JBL put out a buggy unresponsive app and have not addressed the issue plaguing it. Visit their website you'll find many customers having the same issues.If your looking for a bluetooth speakers for stereo capablity look somewhere else. Do Not Buy this crappy speaker

I bring it to the park and play it for the kids all the time! And Holy crap it has a built in bottle opener on the strap!!! Thats what I get for skipping the paperwork

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

It’s not as lout but doesn’t distort the sound like the Sony does at Max volume. Although I had major issues with the Bluetooth connectivity. Standing 10 feet away from the speaker, unless there was a direct line of sight between the speaker and my phone, it would sound staticky, cut in and out. I performed the firmware upgrade, and it performed better but still had the issue at relatively close proximity from my phone. I exchanged it hoping that it was just a bad speaker. The new one performs slightly better, but still has the same issue. Ill be making my decision whether to keep or return it shortly. (For comparison, the XB43 had no issues in the same environment and had much longer range).
