Sounds good and loud! No distortion at high levels. For what it is do not expect it to sound like a high end fidelity sound system. Where the range is much better than any portable speaker. Just to give an idea what to expect.

I did get an open box item that didn't have the right power cord, but I was directed to the local BB branch and they totally fixed everything with no fuss.

If you want it to be loud enough for a party this isn't it. This is for logging with the family in a bar b que, or doing outdoor stuff its def. loud enough for that but if you want it to be loud enough for an outdoor party with more than 10 peeps this isn't it. But great speaker, and def. worst the money!!

Good around Water

I can hang it by the strap off my polling platform. Sounds good nice base and I also use it when I BBQ. Got it pretty wet with saltwater because it was rough crossing the bay. Got home and washed it off and it was good to go. Can't go wrong, best in it's class.
