I got two of this JBL Xtrene and with the JBL connect the sound it's great,

The speaker sounds pretty decent. However, it seems to have a problem keeping the Bluetooth connection even at a very short distance.

Went in and price matched with Amazon. Manager was very helpful and was glad to get the deal so I got the geek protection also. Thanks. Very happy.

I love this speaker. I prefer it rather than the Alexa speakers or the Bose SoundLink mini...

I watched tons of reviews and comparisons on the JBL Xtreme, the Bose Soundlink, and some other smaller brands like Fugoo or something. In the end it was between the Bose and the JBL, and both sound great but I liked the Xtreme a little more. Water resistant, great battery life, fresh to the market and great bass made it my pick. I love Bose and think the Soundlink might look a tiny bit better, but it's been on the market for a while and will likely be refreshed soon and I would hate to buy something right before the new version came out. You really can't go wrong with either, but I think right now the Xtreme has the edge. Also I read in a review once that there was lag between playing songs and the first few seconds were cut out. This is not the case for me.

I think this speaker is great for my lifestyle and music preference. It does pack quite a punch on the base so some people may feel that the trouble is drowned out. However, I am not an audio file and I don't feel that way. It is great that the speaker is splash proof but it is a bit heavy to carry. I have never used the USB charging ports because it would take power away from the speaker and would also take a long time to charge another device. Also as far as the controls go I wish there was a back button to search and move through track there is only a forward button function. One speaker is charged I usually only have to charge it once a week which for me is about 5 to 6 days. The reason why I gave it only 4 stars is because of the design the speakers on the ends are open and they can easily get damaged if you're not careful. I think JBL should create a case for this like they did some of their other Bluetooth speakers. All in all I am happy with my purchase but I also did a couple hours of research before I spent my money on it. I feel you should do the same!

I honestly bought this item for the sale price on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I can't remember which one I bought the speaker on. The point is if you are looking for a speaker. This is definitely the speaker that you want to get. I have own other speakers before this one and nothing compares to it. The bass is amazing, and the sound quality is stunning! It will literally blow your mind. I also like the fact that it is the size of a loaf of bread. It comes with a nice detachable carrying strap. I thought this was a great feature. Another mind-blowing feature of this speaker is the fact that it is water resistant. The USB and other ports and sealed in by a zipper. How cool is that? I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new speaker. This speaker is KILLER!

I did a lot of research online before purchasing this speaker. I wanted a high quality speaker with good sound quality, including heavy bass and good volume, and several other features. After reading all the reviews and then listening to several models at Best Buy, I settled on this one. I love it! I use it primarily for tailgating at football games and camping. It is more than loud enough, with great sound and bass. I also like the design and on unit controls. Good battery life and nice to be able to charge phones off it and connect other devices through the aux port. It was very easy to connect to also! If you are looking for a good quality speaker on the higher cost end of the Bluetooth speaker group, I highly recommend this one!

This is the best portable Bluetooth speaker I've owned. It is a bit heavy but I was not looking for a light weight speaker with weak sound, The weigh of this speaker is justified by the great sound it can reach and the amount of bass it delivers. The battery life is great as well, I've used this speaker for longer than 15 hours, with low, medium and max volume. I was impressed when I discovered that the sound does not get weaker as the battery charge decreases. In my opinion, this speaker sounds better than any Bose, Logitech, Infinity, Sony, etc. I didn't mentioned Beats Pill because those speakers are not at the same level, the sound on those speakers is horrible, exept the old Beats BeatBox, that one had a pretty good sound and bass, but this JBL Xtreme is better because of the sound, battery, and many other features like the ability to pair another JBL speaker, Charge multiple devices, and other auxiliary inputs, etc, etc. I will definitely recommend this to a friend. :D

GREAT Speaker and GREAT sound for it's size. The portability is mainly why we purchased this speaker and we are completely satisfied .Perfect for the boat , camping or moving from room to room to satisfy individual sound needs ( should have bought 2) . My wife opened it on Christmas and hasn't seen it since ! ( our Kids keep using it ) Excellent sound quality and volume range . Love it.

At $300 this thing packs a punch both soundwise and hardware-wise. I mean look at it, it looks like a missile. It's heavy too but the attachable strap is a very nice touch and makes it more portable. It definitely doesn't feel cheap to the touch. The sound is where it's a bit uneven. Now please know, I understand music over Bluetooth has its limitations, it just does. That being said the bass is amazing for being a Bluetooth speaker. At times the bass tends to overwhelm the mids and highs. Download an app with a good equalizer if that really bothers you. Now the 2 big issues. As big as this thing is you would think it would be ridiculously loud. Sadly it's not. (I noticed it plays louder when plugged in to power vs when running on battery) My Big Jambox was louder and sounded better. My other beef with this speaker is it eats the first 2 to 3 seconds of the beginning of each song. One thing that gives me hope is the software can be upgraded on this thing. So I'm hoping future software upgrades will make this thing louder (it just has to get louder, it's too big not too) and eliminate the issue with the beginning of each song.

I take this to a smaller gym that I have access to. It's the size of a large room, and the sound fills the entire space. Good bass, and great clarity, even at high volumes. No too heavy, it's definitely still portable and comes with a strap to assist in carrying

I was waiting for this item to come on sale. Finally came on sale and pick it up. This is a very good speaker, loud and great sound. It’s heavy but it packs a punch and really get loud. I compare it to the boom and my Bose and this thing is solid. Connections to Bluetooth no issues. Direct connect no issues. Love this this speaker.

Ok so this is going to be a long review. (Get yah popcorn!) So the JBL Xtreme is a phenomenal speaker with a few flaws. To start off the speaker is massive hence the name "Xtreme" but you get what you are buying. So on top of the speaker being massive it does come with a very sturdy arm strap (over shoulder) like a purse or duffle bag. Another great thing about this speaker is for the size it is not heavy at all! It's easy to carry due to the great strap included, and the light weight factor to the speaker. The speaker comes with a massive punch. I also own a Marshal Stanmore and this speaker can defiantly compare to the quality of the Stanmore. This speaker comes with great Bluetooth connectivity so you don't have to worry about disconnecting when riding your bike or running. Just a warning. Be warned that if you do take this in public places that it may possibly bother people around you because of the loudness of the speaker. Listening to this makes me want to jam out like I'm at a concert. It's great indoors and out! My parents always tell me to turn it down. (I don't) I do take this to school and I don't have a problem putting this in the bottom of my backpack under all my books and note books and it's great to blast and bother school teachers and staff. I wouldn't recommend taking this to school to be honest. So to top this review off I'd like to say that this speaker is well worth your money and JBL/Harmon Kardon ever comes out with a bigger one I'll be sure to buy it because this speaker is amazing!

My husband purchased this speaker and absolutely loves it. The sound can't be matched. Charge lasts and lasts and is easy to connect to via bluetooth. Music sounds great and bass is unbelievable.
